@adirat I hear you on the eggs except that when I was taking progesterone back in June/experiencing nausea, eggs were the one food that I had such an aversion to so I doubt I'd want/crave them during pregnancy.
I feel the same way as you, however, about deli meat when PG. Maybe it's because I don't have it often at all and therefore probably wouldn't be having it on a regular basis. All I know is that when I stop to think about the list of all the very real things I personally have to worry about if I ever do get KU, that whether or not to order a turkey sandwich just frankly doesn't make the cut.
@swimsister@haylsbayls I know. I could not believe what I was reading. And several of them having, um, adverse reactions, and they all just continue on!
@alysapuggles@swimsister@haylsbayls@wabash15 This reminds me of the drive-by a month or two ago that was talking about doing home-made pregnancy tests. These people are beyond BSC if you ask me!

During cycle 3 when I convinced myself I was KU, I did a lot of research on what you can and can't eat during pregnancy, and what I found is that most of the rules are nonsense. Also the "rules" vary drastically from country to country. The only thing that is unequivocally bad is smoking. Binge drinking is bad but there's no evidence an occasional beer is. Listeria is bad but cold cuts rarely have listeria -- fruits and vegetables are where all the recent outbreaks have been. There has never been a case of toxoplasmosis in steak so you don't need to avoid that (though you may want to avoid lamb and pork for toxoplasmosis). Sushi is considered bad in the US but in Japan, sushi is a recommended pregnancy food since it is mild (there, pregnant women are warned against spicy foods). So anything you hear, take with a grain of salt (or as I do, look it up on the NIH's website). Just do what's right for you is my motto. For me, that includes eggs.
My FFFC is that when I'm anxious/stressed (conference calls), I distract myself by cutting any split ends I find one by one. But when it gets REALLY bad (political debates coinciding with visit from the ILs), I cut off many many at a time... in chunks... I need to go to the salon to address the latest damage...

@alysapuggles Of course I Googled that! It took me a minute to get away from just "Bible Study Fellowship" results but the extra work was oh so worth it. That was a good laugh. "Nothing wrong with trying"?!?! Oh, hey, nothing wrong with trying that or putting any other random substance in your body. SMH.

@wabash15 I keep the Glow app too for the exact same reason! I also love all the posts that are like "I had sex 2 days ago and now I feel sick, should I test?!?!"
@alysapuggles Curiosity got the best of me and I had to google it...Are these people serious????
@adirat Yeah, I take it all with a grain of salt. The sushi one always made me laugh, b/c seriously, what would women in Japan do? The only reason I'll be avoiding it if I'm lucky enough to get KU is because I live nearly smack dab in the middle of the US and wouldn't trust the freshness of any seafood I have access to. I've also always found it amusing that cold cuts cause listeria freakouts when people are way more likely to get it from a salad.
@lulu1180 Don't feel bad. I waited forever to send mine. I think people understand that after planning a wedding you just need to relax for a bit and enjoy being married! @GlitterFish That bandana is adorable!
I'm also hopping on the HP nerd train... I am obsessed with the books and the movies. I am actually reading them to my step son now. We just finished Sorcerer's Stone and are about to start Chamber of Secrets. And after we finish each book we are watching the movie. He loves them and I love having an excuse to read them again!
@haylsbayls I almost did the same thing texting my mom earlier. I started to type AF!
I guess I'll make part of my FC that I hate Twilight. I hate the books and hate the movies even more.
Edit: In relation to the eggs thing... I don't know that I will totally give up Sushi when I get KU. I've heard it is okay if you know the place well and have never had issues before. Also cheese dip. I don't think I can give that up completely.
@RunRestRepeat Yeah it's comical. My husband's family is from Italy. In Italy, pregnant women are supposed to avoid salad because of listeria and are encouraged to eat cold cuts (especially cured porks) because they are high in iron. So it's all a wash.
@RunRestRepeat and @motherhubbard19 I'm definitely NOT giving up sushi. I eat it at least once a week and the place I get it from definitely does not have parasites. (But yeah if I lived far from the water I'd probably pass too based on freshness, and I'm not going to try new sushi places I don't trust if KU).
1) I can't find BSF beyond random non-TTC things! I must know!
2) The BSC on Babycenter and Glow is why I will snark every newb who shows up with a ridiculous question because the Bump must remain the science-based beacon in the glitter farts night!

I really wish I hadn't googled this BSF business. But I really wonder who "discovered" this. Like who was looking at that box of baking soda in the cabinet and was what the h&ll, why not??
I have been lurking the babycenter board for MONTHS and it is gold people. Pure procrastination train-wrecky gold. 'I had sex an hour ago and I feel twinges in my uterus!' 'I stuck a grapefruit up my who-haa to get a girl!' 'My left nippe turns purple when I'm pregnant, and its starting to look darker! I think this is it!' Its just amazing.
@wabash15 I do the exact same thing!! The "sex & relationships" board always guarantees a good laugh or "wtf!?" I have legitimately taken screenshots of questions on that app and sent them to H because I had to share the stupid.
@eggplantface the man cold is always "so much worse" than a regular cold for some odd reason. You would think they were going to keel over in the next 5 minutes.
@LuND I guess it's okay that you've never read HP for what it's worth though, I love Vikings and Penny Dreadful, and GoT (the books, I haven't seen the show yet)!
@beachbunnyxo123, I'm a recovering twihard! My best friend and I stayed in line at a theater in manhattan the night new moon came out and watched it at midnight. Wearing t-shirts with jacob's face on them! @wabash15 I keep glow for that very reason! so many crazies
My confession is I came home from work early with the plan to work from home finishing up my notes, but instead I took a 4 hour nap and now I don't feel like doing anything
