Prayers please - I fell

I slipped when I jumped out of the shower to take something out of DD's hand and fell HARD on the side of my butt. Everything online says that the baby is so padded at this stage that he/she should be fine...but I am still scared. Trying to stay calm and take DD to dance. I'm not cramping or anything, just asking for prayers for everything to be ok!  :'(

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34

  • Thinking of you and hope everything ends up okay. If it makes you feel any better I fell flat in my stomach twice last pregnancy (graceful I am not!). Once on concrete and once on carpet. All turned out well.

  • That's such a worrisome mind-job and I'm sorry you're dealing with that! I'm sending good vibes your way! Hang in there.
  • Praying Mama... I feel two weeks ago... It hurt my tush more than anything! Try and take it easy!
  • Hopefully it's just gonna cause a bruise and nothing too serious. Praying!

I just talked to my doctor about this, because my daughter (35+ lbs) jumped on my pelvic region with all her might and I had some intense cramping after. My doctor said exactly what you mentioned, that at this point they are so small and protected that it would take some horrific force (like a very, very bad car accident) to hurt them. She said blows to the abdomen or falls wouldn't this early on.

  • Thanks ladies! Still no cramping, which is good. Oddly no nausea today too, but I guess I am nearing 10 weeks so it might be subsiding soon. I felt so stupid for not having the rug in front of the shower, my butt and lower back are super sore (on top of that I worked out my legs earlier today so I really may not be able to walk tomorrow, haha). I'm gonna try not to worry about it unless I start cramping or spotting, I may call Dr's office in the morning to settle any concerns. Not gonna lie, now I really wish I had an appointment coming up so I could see that my little nugget is healthy instead of waiting 2.5 more weeks!! Kinda wish I could feel movement already just to get a little peace of mind!

  • When I was late in the 1st trimester with my DS, I fell HARD when I slipped on ice. It was cartoon style, I didn't know there was ice and my legs just went straight out in front and I landed smack on my butt. Prayers to you but I'm sure you're ok, just super sore.

  • I was actually in 2nd tri when I slipped on the carpet on the stairs and fell on my bum down several steps. Everything was fine. Usually the fall is on your stomach after 12 weeks (when the baby comes up out of the pelvic cavity) other falls are normally okay unless extremely bad. Sounds like you are probably okay from not having any cramping or anything else but prayers that it is so.

  • Baby is fine(: Definitely saying a prayer for you and another one to send you relaxing vibes!

I mentioned to the doc that I am very clumsy and she said not to worry about it, because as you all have mentioned the baby is very well protected.

  • Thanks for all the prayers. Everyone thinks I am nuts for worrying at this point, since I have yet to cramp or anything, but it seemed like as soon as it happened my symptoms went away. I mean I know it is normal for them to subside around 9-10 weeks (my symptoms with my girls weren't bad and disappeared by 8 weeks), but the timing for me was weird. I walked around yesterday with this awful feeling of not being pregnant anymore. Hubby and sister keep telling me to stop being paranoid, I just told them to pray I start feeling sick again so I can calm my mind. I guess I am just a worry wart!!

  • @mamasmurf12 I'm sorry you're still worrying.  I am praying that your worry eases soon.
  • I fell off a horse whole pregnant with DS, badly enough to still have recurring spinal issues, there is nothing wrong with him and all was fine, I doubt there would be a huge issue, even later on, falling on your butt wouldn't do much harm.
