WAYDTGKU: HIO, PNV, starting OPKs this evening
R/R: My house is SO COLD so I barely slept last night because I was freezing and I basically yelled at my H this morning that I don't care what time of year it is, I'm turning the heat on this evening if the house is still at 59. He said 'everyone keeps their houses at 58-59'. Is this true? I know this isn't a TTC relevant question at all, but the idea of my house at 58 all year long makes me want to move to Florida like yesterday.
CS/Q: none
My favorite time period is 1500s in the Tudor court, but I think if I could go back, I would be nobility at the French court at Versailles during the reign of Louis the 14ths, aka- the Sun King who built Versailles and the court was rich and the public at the time was happy and it was basically balls and masks and festivities all the time. Plus the outfits, and living at Versailles...swoon.
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: pnv, temping, cm
R/R: BRRRRR I'm with @kiwi2628 this morning! Before DH and I got married he would keep his house at 55 degrees. He was kind enough to let me turn it up when I would come visit.. It's still a constant battle at our house because I do not enjoy living in 55 degrees! We usually end up settling on 65 in the house but this morning when I woke up he had turned the heat back down to 55.. We live in northern Michigan. It's cold most of the year here.
CS/Q: started temping this morning. Questions to come I'm sure!
A lot of my ancestors came over on the Mayflower. I've always been interested in that time period. And for only three months I think it would be great to see!
@kiwi2628 we keep our house generally around 65-70 all year round. DH could handle it colder than that but I can't. Also! Heated blankets are AMAZING! We got a really soft comfy one from Walmart last year.
CD: 13
WAYDTGKU: pnvs, temping, cp/cm, BDing almost EOD
R/R: Rant: this weekend was rough on the BDing front. Saturday DH couldn't finish, then yesterday he had a rough time getting ready. He says it has nothing to do with me, thinks it is stress related but still made me self conscious. Rave: we put in an offer on a house! We should know by 5:00pm if they want to negotiate the price.
CS/Q: nah.
CD: 16
WAYDTGKU: Charting, OPKs, PNV, Just started: Levothyroxine (@adirat, I owe you a reply from Friday! Thank you - I'll check in from the hotel tonight!), Mucinex, CoQ10, Fish Oil (though I'm not even sure why, but if you ladies do it, I want to do it too!)
R/R: I started getting positive OPK two days ago ('almost there' 3 days ago), and EWCM (which I almost never ever see...thanks Mucinex?). I leave for my work trip this morning, so hopefully just in time??? But see my chart stalk...?
CS/Q: Two Q: 1. The last couple 'positive' wondfo OPK, the test line was darker than the control line. It says invalid if the control line isn't there, but are these also invalid? Did I get a whole bum pack of wondfos??
2. CS: I thought I might get CH today, but nope. My previous coverlines have been at 96.9, 97.1, 97.2, 96.9, etc. I wonder if my early temps were too high this cycle for some reason to show a shift? We did turn the heat on a couple weeks ago though. (Can't seem to get pic into photobucket, may try to edit from mobile.)
( @kiwi2628 That is definitely not a normal temp!!!! My house is 73+ all year. I would absolutely die at that temp - my ex was like that, so I had a space heater for my office, and still my hands were frozen and nose dripping ALL THE TIME! DH pretty much lets me do what I want, though he would be fine with cooler - I think partially because I bought the house before we met.)
Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'

WAYDTGKU: sex in FW, PNV, temping & charting!
R/R: I feel like I haven't been "myself" lately. I have been so preoccupied with the bad terms I'm on with DS biodad that I'm letting it consume me. Trying to get myself outta this funk..

WAYDTGKU: PNV, temping, charting with FF, BD (obviously), thinking about trying OPK's and Mucinex next cycle
R/R: Happy Monday! This past weekend was nice and relaxing, DH and I went to a pumpkin patch yesterday with my family - it was nice to spend time with them. We may be going to look at another house tonight, after a short, week-long hiatus. It seems to good to be true, but I'm trying to be optimistic.
CS/Q: Not really today. These last few cycles have been pretty long for me; FF has predicted my fertile/ovulation days to be the 14th-21st, so we'll see where I am temp-wise during that time and if it matches up. So far, so good..
I'm not a big history buff, so I'm not too good on dates and things like that, but (with help from Google), I would definitely say the Georgian era, between the 1700's and mid-1800's - think Pride and Prejudice. I just find that time period to be so dreamy, specifically in the arts and fashion.

R/R: so I got the results of my initial bloodwork back yesterday, they didn't find anything. So I went back to urgent care and they did more bloodwork (another CBC, and the Lyme disease test) i got the CBC results back immediately and I will have the other results back hopefully tomorrow. She did another physical exam, she said my ear drums are really red and my sinus area under my cheeks is really tender so she said maybe it's a sinus infection?? It's strange because I don't have a stuffy or runny nose or anything. Also, the CBC showed that my monocytes are high (basically meaning that something is inflamed or I have some sort of chronic infection??). She put me on amoxicillin and I actually feel a tiny bit better this morning, Still really struggling though and just want some definitive answers

@osucma good luck with the house, I hope everything works out well with your offer!
@GlitterFish the test line can absolutely be darker than the control line, that's totally fine. It sounds like you're getting close to O or, maybe already have depending on how long ago you took the last test. Also, the fish oil is because omega 3s are supposed to help regulate reproductive hormones.
@MommytoM13 I'm sorry dealing with your ex has got you down, and I hope you feel better soon!
CD: 20
WAYDTGKU: temping, opks, vitamins, tea, checking cm.
R/R: All signs are pointing to me Oing early, which of course I would. Yesterday's opk was just shy of positive and I've had ewcm off and on for a few days. We've both been stressed out so I haven't been super pushy with BD because I was expecting to have another 6ish days.... Uughh. At least we haven't totally missed my FW. However, H planned a nice weekend mini vaca and it would've been the perfect time to get some in relaxed BDing. Also, this is going to throw a wrench in my timing for my Dr appt on the 21st now, and everything was lining up so nicely
CS/Q: nope. My temps are all over the board thanks to my cold.
Hmmmm, I would say late 1800's early 1900's Norway. My family on my maternal side is almost entirely Norwegian, and they immigrated around the early 1900's. I'd like to see what life was like for them and why they immigrated.

@tripledaggerWed95976 I hope you get answers soon. I know that's super frustrating for you!
@kiwi2628 yeah, that's definitely cold! We keep ours at 75 during the day and 72 at night. But it's also extremely hot where we live so any lower and our power bill would be ridiculous!

R/R: Had a family gathering at my DHs parents house yesterday. It was so nice. I never use to be comfortable as my DH is 16 years older than I am. R/R: I am really baffled that we are already in cycle 5. I had a bad day yesterday because I really thought it was going to be our month. I need to do better this cycle with keeping my expectations low. DH told me yesterday not to be so sad, which didn't really help. I must say though that he brought up a good point. While we have been "trying" for 4 cycles, we really only had good timing the last two. So I don't feel quite as bad as I did yesterday. @GlitterFish My OB/Gyn recommended the fish oil. It's good for you and your brain and is theoretically good for neurological development in a baby. Some say it helps with TTC but I think there's less research on that.
@tripledaggerWed95976 Good call with the dinosaurs. I should've thought of that!
As for house temperatures, I think that even most people who are trying to be reasonably conservative go for around 65. I might go a little cooler when I'm home alone and just bundle up but typical waking, moving around temp at my house is 67ish. 55 is the temp we set while we're away just to keep pipes warm.

WHEW. How so many of you ladies are able to keep up is baffling.
@osucma A number of ladies have noticed that when it's FW sex, their SOs get performance anxiety. So what a lot of them do is to try not to let them know when it's FW and they try to plan more time/spice it up. It sounds like he may have both TTC and the life changes that go with that and house stuff on his mind.
@kat0607 Ours seemed too good to be true, too. I thought for sure we were going to walk in and go, "Oh. That's why it was so reasonably priced." I wouldn't even have called our realtor to specifically take us to that house but we were already looking at another place and I asked her about it and she encouraged us to just go take a look since we were already together. As it turns out, think that they just wanted to get the heck out of here and move to California so we got a great deal. FX!

@Dinosaur I would have liked the future, too. Step 1: Find out the winning numbers for the next giant lotto win. Step 2: Find the most amazing, revolutionary, lucrative, technological invention. Maybe procure one to bring back with me for reverse engineering. Step 3: Use lotto winnings to start company that makes that thing.
@linzrunz That would have scared the crap out of me to hear his radio going.
@Sugargirl1019 This fertile window is brought to you by Preseed. Helping you grind it out when the time is both right and wrong.
@leilac We're always trying to work around H's schedule, too. It would be so nice (and strange...) if H and I both just had regular 9-5s. I think it depends on a number of factors. Partially you need to look at what's going to keep you going in the long haul. If you expect O on Saturday and Wednesday and Thursday are both good times and you'll enjoy your time together but Friday is going to be a matter of no fun in the middle of the night, I'd go Wednesday, Thursday (because for one thing, the Great Sperm Race says that gourmet sex leads to better chances), Saturday. If your H feels like ED leaves him trying to pull from the bottom of the barrel, I'd do Wednesday, Friday. Personally, I try to find the balance between getting the job done--hence the awkward sex at my parents' house last week--and trying to keep the experience as good as possible for all involved so we don't just hate the whole thing.

@swimsister thanks! I sort of figured that would happen when it looked like everything was going to line up so nicely - Murphy's law and all.
@BertieMeetsGertie I'm sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Sending my thoughts and sympathy your way. I felt the same way hitting cycle 10... Especially since I started thinking about adding in the 5-6 cycles that I count as ntnp because I wasn't temping or anything but we were actively trying to hit what I thought were fertile days.
@osucma I just wanted to second @Kiki75. This happens with my H. He doesn't like to know because "scheduling it isn't a turn on." (yes, because sticking a thermometer up there and peeing on sticks gets me all hot and bothered...men.) So then I don't tell him, and I get yelled at when I'm not pushy enough about having sex if it's my FW and he's not really feeling it because he doesn't know. It's an ongoing battle in our house. He still hasn't decided whether he wants to know or not..
