GTKY: If you had to chose to live without one of your five senses, which one would you give up? Why? Hmmm, I also say touch as I assume that losing your "sense" of touch doesn't mean someone hacks off your hands, but rather just that you can't feel what you're holding. R/R: ILs are staying with us for the weekend and it's been really good so far! BUT, small rant. First some background: we only have one bathroom right now (hoping for a master suite extension soon, but, you know, money). Also, I always drink Sleepy Time tea in the evening which makes me need to pee a couple times before I go to bed. Ok, so after dinner last night I used the bathroom first and was going to pee again after everyone else was out. But both ILs decided to take showers. That's ok, right? How long could that take? Well after 30 minutes, I started to really need to pee. Like, REALLY. H helpfully suggests I pee in the backyard. EXCUSE ME?!?! H falls asleep after an hour. The backyard actually starts looking pretty good. They are finally done in the bathroom after 1.5 hours.... what the hell happened in there?? I don't even want to know, but hopefully I can use this as more ammunition with H why we need that extension PRONTO.

GTKY: If you had to chose to live without one of your five senses, which one would you give up? Why? I guess taste, because I just wouldn't want to lose any of the others! GTKY: If you had to chose to live without one of your five senses, which one would you give up? Why? We actually have a lot more than five senses: light, color, sound, balance, temperature, pain, itch, pressure, smell, taste, sense of where different parts of your body are, bladder fullness, large intestine fullness, hunger, thirst. Some scientists list more, too. From this list I would pick losing my sense of itch. But I guess I'll bite and go with the normal 5, too. I would pick smell - I know someone who doesn't have a sense of smell and she gets along fine. Everyone who picked touch - I think you're forgetting that then sex won't really feel like anything and you probably don't want that! Sorry for the long answer, lol.
R/R: **TW** my sister called last night and has an ectopic pregnancy. She is currently in surgery though at diagnostic time it does not look as if there is damage to her tubes which is a blessing. Also the mixture of complicated emotions, you all know the ones. I don't have to say anymore. **end TW**
CS/Q: also part rant: this morning I got a peak CBAD OPK after only one high reading. My temp spiked a bit this morning (.2) but DH came home from work at 2:30am, I drank a lot of wine and temped at 5am my usual time so I had attributed it to those factors. I almost always get 4 days of high (regular until not) it doesn't change anything, I'm going after it until cross hairs especially given the sickness of DH earlier this week bUT I may be asking for a chart stalk tomorrow or Tuesday. And has anyone had experience with wonky CBAD readings and how did you interpret?

CS/Q: I'm with @britters314 that Mucinex is just not working for me. I started taking the 12 hour extended release two days ago and have been absolutely downing water, but I have less fertile cm than usual. So far my husband and I are doing well on timing this cycle, but I'm scared my mucinex attempts are going to throw things off. I guess this is less a question for the group and more me throwing my hands up and screaming why at the sky.
GTKY: If you had to chose to live without one of your five senses, which one would you give up? Why?
Hands down, no question, taste. I'm a really picky eater and find it really embarrassing. I would love to be able to eat anything that was offered without worry it would make me sick.
@britters314 Do you think you'll keep going with mucinex? I think I will just to have consistent data about its effects, but I'm so anxious about it. Fingers crossed for us both.

@BrambleRose I'm also a really picky eater and I also find it really embarrassing, but I realized recently it's because I have a lower sense of taste than most people, so I just need to eat really flavorful foods (which means having no sense of taste would probably make me more picky lol). As for your Mucinex question, I'm probably giving up on using it because I don't want to make our chances worse.
Also, @britters314@BrambleRose I was also on the mucinex team for the first time this cycle and I think it just baffled me. I felt like I had more CM but less fertile. I also dealt with sickness so that could factor in but I also was surprised by my +OPK and somewhat think the mucinex disguised that as well

DH and I have been spending the weekend with our good friends and their 6mo. Last night as we were going to bed he asked me if I was ready for all the crying, feeding, pooping etc. (I immediately started feeling defensive since we've talked about this and having kids millions of times since we've gotten married) I tried to keep a straight face and just said yes, are you? And he got the biggest smile and said yes, I can't wait! It was a really sweet moment and nice to see how excited he was but I could have done without the fake out!
CS/Q:
Smell! I have a horrible sense of smell to begin with. DH has a crazy good sniffer and he's already good about telling me all the smells I'm missing so I guess it wouldn't change much!
CD: 13
WAYDTGKU: BBT, multivitamin, OPKs, vitex...the deed
R/R: I just got off a night shift so I guess temping is out of the question today!
CS/Q: none really - just hurry up O! Please just happen this month!
id say touch. Who cares about that one...all the other ones would make life bland!
@JulesDP ahhh hugs...my MIL used to do that to me too. Then my younger, just married SIL got KU so she shut up about getting a grandchild but continued on about how fast it was for them and how long it's taking us....really? I hope you don't have to put up with those comments for long...I know it hurts

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, charting/tempting/CM/CP (still not sure I'm doing it right with that last one, but trying!!)

WAYDTGKU: hoping this is my last day of AF. I will start temping again tomorrow.
R/R: I'm at the auto shop with a cranky baby today. My check engine light is on and of course DH is away all weekend.
CS/Q: nada
I guess taste. Maybe I would lose weight.
CD: 12
WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, CP, sex ED/EOD
R/R: Mucinex doesn't seem to be working. My CM honestly looks more fertile before taking for the day and after it has stopped working. I'm drinking a ton of water, so idk why it doesn't work..
CS/Q: None.

WAYDTGKU: all and the BDing
R/R: **TW** my sister called last night and has an ectopic pregnancy. She is currently in surgery though at diagnostic time it does not look as if there is damage to her tubes which is a blessing. I didn't know they were TTGP and I hate she and her husband have to go through this and I wish we could have been sharing TTGP feelings.

R/R: Its raining and cold so we get to have a fire in our fireplace! We just bought a house, so the novelty is still very exciting. Also, my SIL is coming over today and I am excited since I love her and don't get to see her a ton since she is a dancer (professional) so her work hours are bizarre. Also a bit hung over from a bachleorette last night, so hanging around the house is gonna be great today.
CS/Q: none
Smell. I already don't have a sense of smell so this was easy
@JulesDP sorry about your MIL. My mom is currently doing that so I just keep torturing her and saying 'we arent having kids, ever, to spite you'

@WillRunForWine21 I hope your sister (and her tube!) are ok!

WAYDTGKU: Temping/OPK/PNV/Mucinex
R/R: We were in the far reaches of Mathew, so we saw a pretty torrential downpour yesterday. I'm thankful there was no real damage except for a lot of branches down in our yard and that today is a bright sunny day. I hope everyone here made it through the storm safely.
@WillRunForWine21 My thoughts are with you and your sister, and you know you've got support here for any emotion you're feeling. Internet hugs to you.
@kiwi625 Your fire idea sounds like the perfect way to relax in this process - we haven't used ours yet in our new house either. Hmm...Sunday night plans are forming.

@WillRunForWine21 I am so sorry for your sister! I hope she doesn't lose a tube.
Also, @britters314 @BrambleRose I was also on the mucinex team for the first time this cycle and I think it just baffled me. I felt like I had more CM but less fertile. I also dealt with sickness so that could factor in but I also was surprised by my +OPK and somewhat think the mucinex disguised that as well

R/R: I had a really long, hard, physically and emotionally demanding day at work on Friday. I essentially spent 13 hours actively keeping a patient alive until ECMO team could arrive. I was titrating medications every 5 minutes and taking the patient off the ventilator and bagging because the ventilator wasn't good enough. Exhausting. But my manager sent me a text message telling me how proud she is of me, and the physician with me in the room came back on Saturday on his day off to tell me thank you and what a fantastic job I did keeping his patient alive. I feel good from their praise and acknowledgement.
CS/Q: I had darkening OPK's on Friday, and yesterday I popped an OPK and had EWCM associated with the positive timing. All watery cm now again, no temp jump yet. @KristoB catch up with me!
I think the sense of smell immediately pops into my head because of working in a hospital. Two words. C Diff.

Smell. It could be a good thing. For example: you wouldn't have to smell the garbage when you take it out.
@WillRunForWine21, @britters314, and @BrambleRose - I'm also confused about the Mucinex. I took it last cycle because I had a cold anyways. Not sure if I will do it again.
@britters314, I was thinking the same thing about sex, haha
@WillRunForWine21 sorry to hear about your sister! Hope she recovers quickly
@Sugargirl1019 I think I remember you saying you are an ICU nurse? I had to do a couple month-long rotations in the ICU in my first year of residency and the first thing that comes to mind when I think of that time is how emotionally and mentally exhausting being in the ICU can be. And the second thing I remember is how awesome the nurses were! Kudos to you!

I wanted to die.(I then explained to her that the egg only lives 12-24 hours and she didn't believe me, so...)
CS/Q: None, because I think I ovulated yesterday! Hoping for another good temp tomorrow and the disappearance of my residual EWCM from this morning.
