18.75" she's grown a quarter inch!

Follow up PP appointment Tuesday to see if I can stop taking the blood pressure meds

I think we've got a decent routine down. About an hour or two before bed I make sure to keep her awake, then I feed her pumped milk so I know she's getting a full belly and isn't falling asleep while eating. Then we go to bed and she sleeps like a champ. It's been awesome!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
It's weird, but I've been really wanting some warm chocolate chip cookies.

Going to the pumpkin patch to pick out some to carve, and getting cinnamon sugar donuts with hot apple cider. Today would be a perfect day to do that, the air is cool and crisp yet still sunny, but husband's work made it mandatory for him to work today and I'm still not allowed to drive from the c-section
What size is baby? He was 6 lbs 14 oz at his last appointment (Thursday), down from his birth weight of 7 lbs 4.8 oz, but he's been eating like mad, so hopefully he'll have grown a bit by now.
Upcoming appointments? Not for me until my 6 week follow-up; Gideon has an appointment on the 17th for a weight check and his circumcision.
Rants/Raves/Questions? After five days of barely any sleep, I actually feel like I got a decent amount of sleep last night. Sadly, my toddler has a cold, so this will probably not be repeated for a few weeks.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Soda. I tried to avoid it while pregnant, but now I just want Coke Zero and Diet Sunkist.

What size is baby? Getting big, average is 19.9" according to thebump.com
Upcoming appointments? Tuesday I have a growth ultrasound and my weekly appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I've been up since 3:30am because my husband didn't put out the cat last night, even though it is the responsibility of the person who goes to bed last to put him out. He ignored the cat when he meowed and I was afraid it'd wake our son, so I put him out. Then couldn't go to sleep again. I'm so tired. He had the nerve to be upset with me because I didn't get up with our 4 year old at 6:30am and fix him breakfast because he chose to go to bed late last night. Boo hoo. And he's sleeping now. Makes me want to hurt him.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I really want to eat all the chocolate and carbs right now. I'm mostly resisting, but it's been really difficult.
GTKY: What's your favorite fall activity? (stolen from Tuesday) I suppose making cookies during the fall is my favorite activity. I love chocolate coconut walnut oatmeal cookies. Or the no bake chocolate cookies.

Horrible time with insurance companies, so annoyed by everyone in my house besides my kids. Everyone is bugging me, I feel annoyed the second I wake up. *scratch that my 2 youngest just dumped water all over my bed ... wahhhh.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
craving everything labor inducing, but bread makes me sick recently -- pb&j made me want to barf the other day but it was definitely the bread texture.
GTKY: What's your favorite fall activity? (stolen from Tuesday) Sitting by a window on a windy or rainy day with socks and a sweater and a book or snack or my knitting !! Silence in the house, lol. Like I will ever have that again, maybe haha. Of course, taking the kiddos to the Pumpkin Patch!!
What size is baby? The size of a honeydew melon, but I'm guessing about 8-8.5 lbs
Upcoming appointments? One on Friday for another growth scan and to find out the results of my Group B test
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: People are starting to tell me I "don't look all that big" and I know I'm really not, but I'm getting tired of hearing it. She's a heavy little girl to be toting around all day while working in a high school. Raves: I'm 1 cm dilated! And my doctor encouraged me to take off work starting a week early, so I can have some time off my feet before she gets here.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I crave all the food, all the time. I can't seem to get full. And I swear ever since my cervix check she's been wiggling her way down and sending some shooting pains through my pelvis (and I thought I had felt pain before).
GTKY: What's your favorite fall activity? (stolen from Tuesday) Halloween night! A lot of family comes over (grandparents, cousins, etc) and we sit out on our porch and give out candy to the neighborhood kids. We always end up with more than 400 trick-or-treaters and give out over 70 lbs of candy. I'm hoping little girl gets here before Halloween so she can experience her first holiday properly.

Officially on maternity leave. Hoping to get all the things done today, but I may be overly ambitious.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Cramps, hard belly, in not sure what a BH even is or if im having them.
I crave Popsicles, as usual.
No aversions, except to work and that's over. Thank goodness. I worked my butt off the last few weeks because it's not only our busy season, but I was just trying to cram in ambitious deadlines to leave in a good way.

we went to the apple farm yesterday. But we didn't go apple picking. Just bought some goodies: apple cider donuts, a pumpkin pie, apple cider. It was a lovely day. But I also love when the weather cools down and I can make a big pot of chili on the stove!

Ugh, panicking about not being ready to leave work. There is SO MUCH to do and I just feel like I am going to leave several products hanging even though I really am trying not to.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
I just hurt everywhere. I can't lean forward because of feet in my rib cage. I can't sleep well because of ridiculous groin and round ligament pain. Basically, walking, breathing and bending over feel impossible. I am miserable. No real aversions, but I can't even indulge in a small glass of wine because my reflux has just gotten out of control. It is getting worse the closer I get to D day.

I do love apple picking and honestly, just taking walks around the neighborhood and enjoying the crisp fall air. DD loved apple picking this year and it was so cute to watch.

Baby is 10 days old today (born Oct 1st)! So pumped I can share a birthday month with this little guy. I just barely made it, he came at 3:22am.
What size is baby?
At last check a few days after birth he was 9lbs, 5oz down from 9lb13oz at birth. Hoping to get him up to birth weight by his 2 week appt.
Upcoming appointments?
Thursday is his 2 week appointment, he won't be quite 2 weeks. I'm guessing we'll just get measurements and check his circumcision, which thankfully looks good. Caring for a boy is new territory for me!
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not to rub it in but DAMN is it more comfortable to not be pregnant! Carrying around an almost 10 lb bowling bowl was miserable at the end. Hang in there mamas, you're almost done!

I haven't had much of an appetite...just as well, between caring for baby and big sister it's hard to sit down and get a decent meal. But I make sure to get in my morning coffee!

My work messed up my insurance, trying to switch us to a family plan. So that was an unwelcome surprise at the doctor yesterday! We finally figured out how to get little man to sleep at night, which makes me feel like a new woman

I haven't had much of an appetite lately. I did pick up some apple cider at the grocery store yesterday, though.

I love going to a local produce stand that does it up for fall- corn maze, pumpkin picking, etc. can't wait to take Owen this year!
