@zubenescamali we utilize freezer meals year round, not just post partum. We both work full time and have a 2 year old plus this new one coming. It's a big overall sanity saver for me when I can just pop something in the oven and that's it.

Post partum last time I noticed I was never hungry. Never thought about cooking until DH was grumpy and I was over tired. It didn't go so well. That's why we started freezer meals. I would literally go all day without eating...and not realize it until DH asked me when he got home from work. I'm hoping between needing to feed a 2 year old and having already prepped meals this time will be easier.
Exactly what she ^ said. I always have 3-5 meals in the freezer. Its so nice to grab something before going to bed, tossing it in the fridge, then tossing it into the crockpot in the morning.  Then I just have to make rice/pasta or chop a salad. So easy, and I get lunch the next day from the left overs.

  • @zubenescamali I think the same thing about freezer meals to prepare postpartum exclusively-but probably should do it all the time because of the money to be saved when life gets in the way and the only choices are frozen crap or takeout.

Also...we put onesies on over pants all the time! Someone actually pointed out once that it works better, because if they have a blow out (unless its up the back) you only have to change pants, not pants AND a onesie.

And finally, we definitely do the no pants with a onesie thing, but not often when leaving the house. We do not put socks on unless DS is going to be walking somewhere because within 5 seconds they come off and get lost!
  • Not sure if this qualifies but, my mom travels a lot. On her last cruise she won another cruise, which she booked for the week of THANKSGIVING. Literally, a week before my due date - then asks if she's allowed in the room with us while im giving birth. She knows im praying little man comes a little early because my brother leaves for the Marines a week AFTER I'm due. Thankfulky, my ob has agreed to induce on my due date if the baby hasn't arrived yet, but the fact that she's planned the cruise for a week prior to my due date, KNOWING my due date just blows my mind. Yeah, I want her in the room when the baby is born, but if she's not here, its not like I can wait for her to get there.
