Any appointments coming up? My RE released me to my OB, so I have my first appointment Tuesday. Just paperwork and going over history and whatnot.
Any new concerns? Right now, I am worried about telling people. I told my mom and am planning on telling family members and close friends within the next two weeks. It's so scary though, telling people and not knowing how everything is going with the pregnancy. A few weeks ago, I was waiting in a line and spoke with a woman who was supposed to have twins, but ended up having a vanishing twin. So, now I just keep thinking about her. I guess I should just announce it to family/close friends and not worry about the "what ifs".
What are you most excited about with twins? Excited that my daughter will have two siblings! I can't wait to see how they will interact and play as they get older.
8w2d- one is measuring exactly that and one is 8w5d. I think they're the size of raspberries!
I have another appointment on october 25th so it seems far away.
I refuse to google what can go wrong with twins. I prayed for these babies and I am trusting that if God answered my prayers then he will keep them safe.
I'm most excited that we will be done stressing about getting pregnant- this is it for us. I know it sounds crazy but I can't wait to add in the twins to the mix because one day when my three kids are grown and married and have children, our house will be so full when we do holidays and dinners etc. So, so far away but I just love the idea of that.
I got to see my babies again today! I'm worried that I won't be able to stand waiting until the NT scan at 11-13 weeks to see them again! My OB mentioned that in the end of the 2nd trimester through the third we'd get to do an u/s every so often because of it being twins. I can't remember how often she said though... it was either each month or every two weeks... do ya'll know what your practices will do?
@Jkp7749 I had an U/S once a month during second tri and every 2 weeks in 3rd tri. Mine came before I ever had weekly appointments though.
ETA: if you get uncomfortable or feel like you can't breathe during any of the scans be sure and say something. I passed out during one of my scans so they gave me frequent breaks after that.
9w4d.
Pecans
I had another US today. Babies looked great. We go back in 4 weeks, And after that I'll get US every two weeks.
New concerns. I started bleeding Saturday night. Doctor isn't worried, but there doesn't seem to be a cause. I just have to keep my eye on it for now.
I'm excited to see how all 4 of the kids interact with each other. I'm still kind of nervous about telling *everyone*. We'll probably wait another few weeks until we're out of 1st tri.
It seems like there are more twin mom's this week! I have to say that this pregnancy is very different than my first. Besides being sicker this time, the worries are very different than they were with my singleton pregnancy. So glad there are a few of us to go through this together.
