My wtf is pregnancy safe medications, as it seems so many people's are today!
It's so freaking frustrating figuring out what you can and cannot take! I would freaking live to sn9rt some afrin and take sinus meds but no, not safe. Then I read the Oct 16 board and one of the women took FENTANYL during labor. So WTF BODY for making Tylenol sinus and afrin not ok but Fentanyl ok.
Also hugs to all you ladies struggling with serious issues regarding meds...the second guessing cannot be fun and I hope you get answers AND relief soon.
lurking from December 15, but I was told that anything made by Tylenol was safe. I had bronchitis and multiple sinus infections while pregnant and was always told to take Tylenol brand.
@Kate08Young the Dr decided against the steroids when the ffn test was negative. If I was still having contractions I'd certainly ask for it but they have stopped completely.
I feel a lot better at this point. Back pain is way down. But I still have a fever everytime they check. So at least that's overall good.
My Dr came in at 545 this morning. Definitely a kidney infection. My white blood cells count was crazy. So more of the same today: twice daily nst, antibiotics around lunch, blood work to watch the white blood cells. Most symptoms are gone so the Dr thinks I'll be releases tomorrow sometime.
I'll be given 10 more days of strong antibiotics then will need to be on suppressive antibiotics until I deliver. But aside from that I'm good. Didn't catch it early enough to avoid the infection but at least I caught it early enough before it caused more kidney damage, hurt the baby, or sent me into for real labor. It was close on that last one.
Still no TV! The whole hospital is out. Apparently they were trying to fix something yesterday but it broke it all. Zzzzz zzzzz. At least I have my kindle so lots of Ken burns documentaries were watched last night. But I didn't get any sleep until I found a documentary on Ireland that's narrated by Liam Neeson. His voice was great for getting off to sleep!
Re: WTF Wednesday 10/5
Hopefully LO stays put, but I find it less anxiety inducing knowing they could breath if they came tomorrow.
