I'm Back - Intro for those who don't know me...

Hey Everyone, I took a break from the community because it became too hard to continue watching and supporting others (who often were getting their bfps) after yet another failed IVF for me especially knowing I was going to be on a short term break. But now after hubs and I have moved, and I've healed emotionally, I'm back getting ready to do another round!

I'm currently on Lupron Depot for endometriosis. Will start meds for FET around end of November with transfer Dec 15 (roughly). 

Past should be in my siggy but if not, I'll update so it is! :)

Started TTC April 2011
Me: 32, DH: 32
Diagnosis: Endometriosis

  • 2012 - 3 Rounds clomid - all BFN
  • 2013 - 1 Fresh IVF with 2 day 3 embryos - BFN
  • 2014 - 1 Frozen IVF with 2 day 5 embryos - BFN
  • Took a long break, continuing trying naturally
  • Feb 2016 - Biopsy = Endo, DH sperm improved from 1% to 6% morphology
  • March 2016 - Fresh IVF cycle with acupuncture & intralipids: 20 eggs retrieved (17 mature), 7 ICSI'd fertilized, 9 naturally fertilized. 16 total embryos!
  • April 8th - 2 embryos (1ICSI and 1 Natural) transferred. (7 blastocysts frozen), April 18th - Beta = BFN
  • Sept 23rd - Lupron Depot Injection for Endo control
  • Nov 15th 2016 - Started daily Lupron Injections for upcoming FET
  • Nov 22 - Baseline US/BW - Intralipid Infusion - Start Meds for FET with immune protocol
  • Dec 16th FET transfer of 3 embryos (1 - AA, 2 - BB)
  • TW below
  • Dec 22nd - first ever bfp (very faint lines FRER & cheapie)
  • Dec 27th Beta = 192, Dec 29th Beta = 379
  • EDD - Sept 5th 2017

    @oxinfree hello again! I've thought of you often the last few months (in a non creepy way) and hope the move went well! I understand the break, as much as I love seeing others who have stuggled be successful, it still stings that it's not you, over and over again. Are you still working with your clinic in NY or did you find a new one when you moved?

    Awww @mtpbadger - you're so sweet... not creepy in the least bit!!! You ladies have all been on my mind too. How are you? What's new or what's gone on with you while I've been gone. 

    Wish I were back with better news, but here we are. Yup, still working with NY clinic but will be remote monitored here in Houston. The move itself has gone alright... back to square one in terms of making friends etc. so that's been hard. Nice to have more space and a car again though... feel more human than we did in manhattan.

    Welcome back @oxinfree ! I remember you were one of the first to welcome me to this board, so thank you :) So sorry about the failed IVFs, and completely understandable to take a break and focus on healing. FX for this round!!!

    Dx: unexplained infertility (+ treated for hypothyroidism)
    March 2016: IUI#1 w/ Clomid, Ovidrel, Progesterone, Estradiol - BFN
    April-May 2016: treatment on hold due to bad thyroid levels, adjusted meds
    June 2016: IUI#2 w/ Clomid, Ovidrel, Progesterone, Estradiol - BFN
    July 2016: on hold again due to thyroid
    July 13th: IVF consult
    August 2016: IUI#3 w/ Femara, Ovidrel, Progresterone - BFN
    Sept/Oct 2016: IVF + ICSI

    DH: MFI
    TTC since 3/2014
    2015: 3 IUI's-BFN
    12/2015: 1st IVF cycle-(9 follicles retrieved, 5 mature, 3 fertilized w/ICSI, transferred 1 excellent and 1 good embryo on day 3)-chemical pregnancy
    3/2016: 2nd IVF cycle- canceled (3 follicles retrieved, 3 mature, all fertilized w/ICSI, 1 fragmented, 2 arrested) 
    3/2016: RE suggested donor eggs- taking an ivf break and to supplement 
    9/2016: 3rd ivf cycle-cancelled due to early ovulation
    Oct./Nov 2016: 4th ivf cycle- EPP-AFC:5, retrieved 10, 10 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 6 blastocysts biopsied and frozen. 3 CCS normal embryos
    1/9/17: transferred 1 embryo-BFP 1/16
    1/18/17: beta #1-104
    1/20/17: beta #2-174
    2/2/17: first u/s, heartbeat of 107 at 6w1d
    7/20/17: baby boy born at 30+3 via emergency c-section

    @oxinfree I'm glad the move went well! Hopefully you'll be able to start meeting people soon and it will start to more like home.

    I've had two FETs (July and Sept) with the first being a BFN and this most recent one being a chemical. I thought it was going to be the one since my first beta was pretty decent and in my mind, CPs were always very low beta numbers. I have 6 frosties left and am just in a holding pattern. I was out of town last weekend so haven't had a chance to talk to my RE about next steps yet or pick her brain as to why she thinks this one didn't stick around.

    Hopefully your new protocol will do the trick this time around for you!

    @Kp214 - have you started your new cycle? What's different for this protocol? I'm hopeful you'll have a better response!

    @mtpbadger - I'm so sorry about your chemical... gosh that must have been hard, to feel so high and then be crushed yet again. Big BIG hugs to you. I think those next conversations will be great to give you some closure and help you feel like you're moving forward again. This journey can be so cruel sometimes. Do you have an appointment with your RE booked?

    @oxinfree I am doing EPP this time. I've done the Lupron-antagonist protocol with bcp and also a spontaneous start with mini ivf.  So will you be going back to Manhattan for the fet?

    Hi welcome back, I look forward to being around to help cheer you on. I understand taking a break though. My DH and I are breaking at the moment too after 2 failed FETs and it has been refreshing. I hope for BFPs for so many of us this go around :)
