Upcoming appointments this week or appointments made? Yes! Finally. I have my first prenatal appointment and u/s on the 5th. 

Any new symptoms or changes? I opened my cupboard and the smell made me gag immediately. We pack some produce, canned goods, pantry staples, spices, and boxed foods/other (pasta, crackers, coffee, etc) in one cupboard because our city rental is short on built in storage. I think I need to look at the produce and find out if something went bad or if my nose just can't handle it anymore. I really hope I don't get morning sickness at all. I am still mostly hand feeding my sick cat and cleaning her up because she isn't grooming herself, and she needs me to not be sick too.

Rants/Raves/Questions? See above about morning sickness. Really hoping I don't ever develop it- even if that makes me an annoying pregnant woman. I'm also starting to get nervous about my upcoming appointment. I have anxiety, I was seeing a counselor about it over the summer. Our schedules changed so I need to follow up again now that I'm back in school, I haven't been since August. I've always been anxious in doctors offices (like they often take my pulse a second time once I've relaxed because when the nurse first does it at the beginning it is way too high just from nerves) and around other "authority figures". I have some tools/strategies to cope better with it now, but pregnancy is new to me. I'm trying to come up with a list of every question or concern I might have for them. I also picked a nurse midwife (in a clinic where they work along side with ob/gyn doctors) because their care is less "medical" and I think that will help me be more at ease. 

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to learn about? It changes all the time, I sincerely like a variety of topics. Right now I am interested in late 17th century Scotland. This was during their time of reformation in the church, around wars with England (for Scotland to become part of Great Britian), around the height of their witch hunts (similar to Salem), and when the British isles irradicated all of their wolves (which were seen as vermin/evil). I am writing a story (to be a graphic novel) about a girl who helps Scotland's "last wolf" flee to safety. She is then accused of being a witch by her community.

This post quickly got buried because there has been so many other conversations on the forum (which is great!).

I know I can't be the only one who is due on a Saturday. I don't want to force anyone to participate, and I know it is very likely that some TB members can only check in once or twice a week. You know who you are, and if you want to participate on this, then please do. I just feel like it's a little AWish of me to make Saturday ticker changes just for myself and I would like company. 

I know the u/s can change our EDD and ticker change day, so please review. I have my first u/s tomorrow, and I may end up joining a dif day, who knows.

I never saw this post! Boohoo!  And I even checked on Saturday too, so weird.  Anyway, thanks for bumping up!

Upcoming appointments this week or appointments made?  Nothing this week, have to schedule my blood work though, will go next week for that.

Any new symptoms or changes? Nauseous is still in full force, it's been pretty bad the last couple of days, been struggling to not puke a few times every day.  Doesn't help that I still have this awful cough and phlegm.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I told my co-workers this week, it's nice to finally be able to moan and groan and to talk pregnancy with all the ladies!

I enjoy learning about history a lot more now.  To get more specific: American history, like all of the wars, what is was like during the settlement days.

@tumbleweed weed I definitely get the gagging reflex now from smells.  I opened the fridge this morning and OMG it was awful.  I'm glad your kitty is doing better and I hope your anxiety isn't so bad at your appt! GL!

I know it's Tuesday, but I didn't really understand how the Ticker Change works until today! I may still not fully get it, but I'm going to try to join in for the fun of getting to know each other!

How far along are you? Today I am 6+3. Saturday I was 6 weeks exactly.

How big is baby? I'm not sure. I haven't had an ultrasound yet, but all my pregnancy apps say the size of a pea.

Upcoming appointments this week or appointments made? My next appointment is my dating ultrasound which is Oct. 17. It can't get here fast enough!

Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea this week. Not enough to make me actually throw up, but frequent enough to be frustrating. All my other symptoms seems to ebb and flow.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Am I only supposed to do this if I have one of those pregnancy ticker signature thingies (pregnancy brain can't remember what they're called)? I only use the app so I can't use one.

@laurenann89 no worries! You are in the right place. Your ticker change day is based on which day of the week your EDD falls on- which should be the day you start a new pregnancy week too (I started 8 weeks on Sat.). You don't have to have a ticker in your signature to participate.

The idea is that anytime from last Saturday (10/1) until this Friday ppl with a Sat. EDD comment, if they want. You can reply any day of the week because we are all busy and might not be on TB (or even online- if on vacation or something) on our "day".

9 weeks!

Size of a cherry

Next appt is next Wednesday for a midway follow up--3 previous losses so they are giving me peace of mind with a handheld ultrasound. I cried when they offered me this appt...such a sweet gesture!!

Feeling nauseous all day!!
