28! wahoo!
2- how did pregnancy go this week?
exhausting, but that's nothing new. Work has been stressful, all the kids I work with just seem to have ganged up to try and tire me out more...
3- Repeating a phrase in your head can give your mind something simple to do while you're breathing through contractions. Any helpful med-free mantras in mind?
"Your body was meant to do this, it will all work out." That didn't work for me last time, lots of interventions had to happen to keep LO and myself safe but hoping for a different outcome this time.
BTDT bonus - what items helped you most with post-partum recovery?
Ice pack giant maxi pad things and the peri bottle. Lots of stitches = ouch but those helped a lot.
2- how did pregnancy go this week? Upsie downsie. I slept good last night so I was tempted to write "oh dandy!" I actually am doing well though. And thankful for it.
3- Repeating a phrase in your head can give your mind something simple to do while you're breathing through contractions. Any helpful med-free mantras in mind?
I have a bunch that I use during races and they help me so much but typically match my breathing pattern. I need to come up with one or two good ones. Short and sweet is best for me.
"you got this mama" and "let it be," and then probably something random
BTDT bonus - what items helped you most with post-partum recovery?
Frozen pads, peribottle, and dermoplast. And fruit. All I wanted was water fruit like melons and berries.
2- how did pregnancy go this week? Pretty alright. I went out of town for a baby shower and got pre-boarding both ways, which was great. Stuff seems same old same old: BH, sciatic pain. Altogether, not too much to complain about.
3- Repeating a phrase in your head can give your mind something simple to do while you're breathing through contractions. Any helpful med-free mantras in mind? I don't know how helpful it will be as a first-timer, but I'll be telling myself that my body was made to do this. And to visualize just...opening up. I actually made a bunch of notecards with stuff like that to remember and help myself through.

2- how did pregnancy go this week?
Good. Starting to get more uncomfortable but yoga helped.

Im struggling with this side of the med free birth prep. I need to up my mental game. FI and I have started our guided meditations for our Bradley class and I'm still trying not to laugh. But I know they're so helpful for so many people that I'm trying to get into the habit.

2- how did pregnancy go this week?
It's been hard. I realized I've not been taking great care of myself and I need to restart what I know i need. Lots of cervical pain and feeling sluggish. I feel very discouraged I have 12 or more weeks... I feel ready to be done.

Usually I'm not so great at keeping things in mind during it all other than praying for strength and help... An open dialog of sorts "oh dear Lord help me!"
BTDT bonus - what items helped you most with post-partum recovery?
Heres my list... https://shecanlaugh.blogspot.com/2014/10/stuff-you-never-knew-youd-want.html?m=1
In addition, I don't particularly love "padsicles" (too cold) but I DO love my peri bottle with sitz bath tea in it! I fill it up half way with warm water and put the consentrated tea to fill it every time I go to the bathroom and then spray as I pee (so it doesn't sting) and just wash off and gently pat dry.

2- how did pregnancy go this week? Pretty good, nausea returned yesterday but I think that was because I've eaten chili 4 days in a row...
3- Repeating a phrase in your head can give your mind something simple to do while you're breathing through contractions. Any helpful med-free mantras in mind? My goal is to really focus on my breathing. But reminding myself to relax my jaw, feel my body open and repeating that my body was made to do this are some things I hope to remember during labor.
BTDT bonus - what items helped you most with post-partum recovery? First time mum here. I spent the first 10 days with my sister after she gave birth last year for her it was the peri bottle with witch Hazel, frozen cabbage leaves for her breasts and padsicles. I'm already planning on all three as part of my post partum pack.

2- how did pregnancy go this week? Pretty good. My back has been bothering me a bit, I need to up my yoga game.
3- Repeating a phrase in your head can give your mind something simple to do while you're breathing through contractions. Any helpful med-free mantras in mind? This too shall pass? Ha, seriously though I really think reminding myself that labor is temporary will be helpful.
