Questions on terminology

Hi there! I am new to the bump. My husband and I are wanting to start a family and are just getting our ducks in a row before we start.  I have been lurking around the boards a little bit and I have come up with some questions.

On the intro post of the TTGP board a lot of people have just been postponed nag the word "bump". Also talking about stickies? What does this mean?

Hi, I'm new too. I think they were trying to make that conversation stick to the top so that it can always be viewed. Especially since we can't post until after 3 days. We need to read the rules that were created probably by the regulars. bump makes the conversation come back to the top.
