Re: October TWW/Beta Testers

  • @mrsdrwombat as the others have said, it's hard not to compare, but you really can't compare one to the next because the range is huge! I know the struggle, but I hope you get a good confirmation tomorrow. 78 is a great, healthy beta. Truly. xo

  • I agree with other PP's @mrsdrwombat. The important thing with betas is that they double. 78 is a strong number! I've seen ladies with betas around 15 at 14dpo. As long as their doubling within the appropriate time frame, all is well!

@mrsdrwombat I echo was PP's have said. 78 is a good first number. Mine was 33 at 14dpo with DS and he's 3 now.  Sending you good thoughts!

  • Thank you all for the reassurances.  I've calmed down a bit.  I don't think I need to tell you all how nerve racking this all is.  I want to be fully happy, but I can't help worrying after all this time and struggle.  I go in tomorrow morning and is 150 or bust!  :-)
  • @mrsdrwombat congrats! i know you dont think so but anything over 50 is really great but i completely get the feelings of being stuck in limbo. like others have said betas are really all over the place....in the months i have been here in multiple threads i have seen them from 50 and i think lower to up over a thousand for a first beta.  fx for tomorrow.

  • Hi! This is my first official TWW so I'm not sure if I should post in here since I did the IUI in Oct. I'm not testing until 11/5.

At this point I'm bowing down to all of you amazing women. This TWW is already freaking me out! My emotions have been all over the board lately. I've been really negative, grouchy, and had very little patience - which isn't like me at all! Trying to keep it together, but this feels like the longest 2 weeks of my life! How do you get through it!?!?!?

  • @jwg9101 The two week wait is the suckiest thing! There are a ton of awesome pins on pintrest that have a lot of tips and tricks on what to do! Staying busy is the biggest thing! Go clean out the closet, start a garden, go on a lot of walks, etc. Stay busy and stay positive! We're all here for you!

This is is my first TWW. We weren't able to do a fresh transfer so we had to wait to a FET on October 20th. We did a single 5 day blast and we have our fingers crossed. I'm not sure what to think that my beta is on Halloween!

    Good luck to everyone

  • Thank you @jwg9101 I am still in shock - I go in tomorrow for second Beta and am over the moon!!!

@Stars2016 and @JamieH2000 - we may have DOR but that might not necessarily mean we are totally out. It's all about QUALITY over quantity.

Thank you everyone for your love and support! Putting up these videos on YouTube have been a HUGE help for me. It's made new friendships for me, it's been a great way for other women to reach out and share their experience and additional information, and it also kept me busy during the 2 week wait!

THANK YOU and I wish EVERYONE much success - stay POSITIVE!!!
Me: 35 DOR, low AMH = 0.694, and fibroids
    DH: 41
    Married 10/25/2014 / TTC since 05/2015
    1st IUI 05/05/16 Letrozole 7.5 mg CD 3-11 + Ovidrel = BFN
    2nd cycle on Letrozole 7.5 mg CD 3-11 + TI = BFN
3rd cycle on Letrozole but did our 2nd IUI on 07/01/16. 10 mg CD 3-11 + Ovidrel = BFN
Onto IVF! Started Lupron on 09/24. Added Gonal F and hcg injections 09/26...... Trigger 10/07. EggRetrieval 10/09. Starting PIO, Estrace, and Medrol 10/10/16. Transferred 2 "strong/beautiful" embryos 10/14/16. Beta 10/28/16 = 998 mIU/mL = BFP with one baby, but miscarried at 9w5d.
D&C on 12/06/17 and started taking BCPs 01/10/17 for the next IVF Cycle, which officially began stims on 02/18/17.
Fast Forward: we got 4 fertilized embryos from that cycle. Transferred one fresh, but it did not stick, so we have 3 frozen embryos currently. Went in to the fertility clinic in July to talk about a FET of one of those three frozen embryos, but a new fibroid was discovered, and I was not cleared to do the transfer until I had fibroid removal surgery.
08/11/17 had a mini-laparotomy / myomectomy to remove 6 fibroids, largest sized were the size of golf-balls! Once we were cleared to go about our normal lives (sex!) I got pregnant NATURALLY but it was a chemical pregnancy. The very next month we had another BFP and here we are now with a baby on the way! A TOTAL AND COMPLETE MIRACLE!
