UPDATE #2! I hope I'm not out!

I have updates at the bottom of my initial posting.
I have been feeling "leaky" for the past few days and I started wearing liners because of it, but I never saw any red down there so I said not to worry. Yesterday I started cramping really bad in the morning and it lasted pretty much all day and I just thought it was the start of new symptoms for week 5 and that my uterus was just stretching. Then when I was going to bed the cramping came back really bad to where I couldn't sleep and so I ate some crackers to see if that would help and it did for a little bit. Long story short I woke up cramping again this morning really bad and went to the bathroom to check and I was clear and then I went to the bathroom about two hours later and I was bleeding. It's more of a dark red then a bright red but I called my OB anyways and they're going to see me today at 1 o'clock so I hope it's nothing. Has this happened to anyone before and was everything okay?
UPDATE #1: I just came back from seeing my doctor and he looked at my cervix and said everything looked fine given where I am in the pregnancy and he could not see any signs of miscarriage by looking at my cervix. So they are looking at my HCG levels to see if it's over 2000 and he will let me know tomorrow. He said if it is over 2,000 he would do a sonogram plus I will come back tomorrow and on Monday to see if my HCG levels are increasing. So if it is not increasing then most likely a miscarriage. So I'm not out of the woods yet but I feel a little bit better about his initial assessment. Fingers crossed! I'll keep you all posted
UPDATE# 2. My doctor called me back and said everything looked good from the blood work and that my HCG level was over 25,000. Isn't that high for 5w4d? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the results. So now, he wants me to come in on Monday for a sonogram and do another blood draw. I'll keep you all posted as soon as I know something. Thanks for the support.

Part of me is wondering whether I miscarried a twin or something. Sounds like you didn't even bleed that much, but did have cramping like I did. I hope you get a good outcome, but so far so good on your initial blood draw!
