Anyone taking diclegis? Is it working?

just started on it last night, woke up still feeling bad so took another. I'll prob take one this afternoon too. Dr said up to 4 a day is ok. How is the drowsiness? Anyone affected by it? I do feel the nausea is already subsiding but don't feel quite normal yet.

  • I'm not but I'll prob ask about it at my appt tmrw. I'm miserable. I took zofran with my DS and it's he only way I could somewhat function.

  • So was I! I usually hate meds but this stuff seems to be working so far. The nausea is do debilitating
  • @leilaD123 I was the same way with DD, the only way I could function was on Zofran.  I'm not feeling great ths pregnancy either but it's not as bad as it was with DD.

I just started taking it a few days ago. I would say it's bringing the nausea down a notch, but doesn't take it away completely. I'm still feeling pretty rough and I do take all 4 tablets a day (2 at bedtime, one in both morning and afternoon). It doesn't seem to make me more drowsy than I had already been.

  • I think it's interesting that it needs to be taken on an empty stomach or else the food interferes with its absorption. Or maybe that just means for the first dose.. Not sure. Just seems weird since we are supposed to have something in our stomach to keep nausea away.
