I went in with an Upper Respiratory Infection on Thursday but it has only gotten more painful:( my left lung is sore and hurts when I cough. I can't breath too well (I get so exhausted by just talking) and I tinckle pee every time I cough. Today I noticed greenish mucous when I wiped after going to the toilet to cough it out (so I don't pee my pants). I'm sure I have bronchitis, I'm just scared to get antibiotics. Rubbitussin is doing nothing for me tho!! Should I go in to the OB?
I've had pneumonua twice this pregnancy, a nasty sinus infection. I wouldn't be scared to take an antibiotic. Hopefully you trust your doctor enough to know he's giving you something safe.
My Ob sent me to a GP for my bronchitis. I'd call the nurses line first and see what your office would prefer you do. There are plenty of pregnancy safe antibiotics.
I had a sinus infection and bronchitis just about 2 weeks ago! They gave me a z pack and said it wasn't going to go away on its own. They also had me take some cough meds at night because I was up for hours each night coughing. My OB and general doctor both said that the meds were completely safe and treating it was much better for the baby that hard coughing constantly. After the z pack I feel much better but still have a bit of a cough at times. Hope you feel better soon and get some rest!
