  • What is your health/nutrition goal this week?
eat dinner by like 4:30-5 and make sure dinners are super bland. This is more related to heartburn and sleep than anything else. Also, vegetables every day.
What is your fitness goal this week?
Mon-elliptical and strength, Tues-swim, Wed-stretch and strength, Thurs-elliptical and strength, Fri-off, Sat-swim, Sun-5k that I signed up for (just gonna walk it with my lil guy)
    Any challenges this week?
    newp
How did you do with your goals last week?
meh. I ate ok. I got in 3 workouts but due to a friend canceling, a husband house project gone awry, and a training, I missed 3 (but added 1).
GTKY:  What has been your biggest fitness challenge as your pregnancy has progressed?  How have/are you overcoming it.
Not being able to run - sticking with elliptical and swimming has been good for cardio.
Abs feeling like they're in dire straits - I've essentially stopped doing ab exercises but just try to engage those lower ab muscles while walking. I've stopped just letting it all hang out (I mean, it's still hanging out but I'm engaging the muscles)

What is your health/nutrition goal this week?
I eat healthy enough, but I need more protein.
What is your fitness goal this week?
Oh I'm aiming high this week! To get in 5 workouts.
    Any challenges this week?
Life as usual. But fewer challenges than previously I think...see below.
How did you do with your goals last week?
So I finally got my act together (let's see how long it stays together). I joined the employee gym down the street at work, and I bought a friggin' fitbit. I don't have time to workout in the evenings thanks to this whole parenting thing, so I've started waking at 5am a couple of days a week to fit exercise in before work. I did really well last week:

Monday: Signed up for the gym hah

    Tuesday: Elliptical and recumbent bike

Wednesday: I accidentally went to a geriatric fitness class HAHA, but hey, I got in some good stretching and weights

    Thursday: Elliptical and recumbent bike

    Friday: Walked a few miles

    Saturday: Pregnancy yoga video

    Sunday: Walked a few miles

Finding the time with full time work and a toddler has been the most difficult thing for me. Another friend is pregnant with her first baby and still working out like mad, and I am just envious of her free schedule. I vaguely remember being able to do what I wanted when I wanted to... But I think, as of this last week, that I finally have a decent schedule in place. And if I remember correctly, this time last pregnancy, I was just doing a vigorous spin class twice a week and *maybe* doing some weights here and there. And I was in really good shape back then.

  • What is your health/nutrition goal this week?  Keep my usual goal - eat better, in general, and splurge on occasion.

What is your fitness goal this week?  Be active at least 2 times. I have tomorrow off, so I am going to do some cardio at home before I get ready for the day. The rest of the week will be at home workouts, if I do them. I am debating going to the gym tonight as I need to hit up the grocery store after work. I need to get some weights involved, and work my lower body more - which is where I feel the weight gain has been... since I don't work that stuff as much as I used to.

Any challenges this week?  Busy week with appointments: 3 doctor appts tomorrow (U/S, glucose and monthly), and then nails on Wednesday and Hair (cut/color) Thursday - these 2 are MUCH needed. We also start Lamaze tomorrow night, so I am at the hospital almost all day, or so it will feel. I used to work until 3:30, but with my new position... it's been 5 and after so that change has been something I need to figure out... to balance work, life, errands, house stuff, and getting those workouts in. I may need to do AM workouts at home before I get ready for the day.

How did you do with your goals last week?  Not bad. I went to the gym twice last week for Zumba classes, since it had been awhile. I'll probably still go Mondays to class but will switch to something else on W3dnesdays as the normal instructor isn't teaching anymore and I just don't care for the new gal. She's good, and WAY better than this one guy that instructs, but I liked the previous one MUCH better. Plus, I am always in front as I like to see the instructor better and see what I look like in the mirror, and I felt like she was looking at me like I shouldn't be there all PG. Or, cos I was doing some moves better than her WITH a belly, ha. At least the Monday instructor stayed the same!

GTKY:  What has been your biggest fitness challenge as your pregnancy has progressed?  How have/are you overcoming it. Everything. I am used to going to classes to work my core (CXWORX), and stopped that one as soon as I found out I was PG since it's my first and I wanted to play it safe. I also can't do Zumba at my normal 100% level, which is frustrating but I do what I can. Instead of jumps, I slide or just move in general... something anyways. So, modification is key. Even with the new Country Heat that I have been doing at home. I found one of the videos (a conditioning one) to be a favorite, but have to change up the end of it since it's all on your back or stomach, which I obviously can't do. The back stuff, I sit up and just do alternate leg lifts to work the core but that is about it. So again, modification. And now that I work later (ya know, the normal 5p), as mentioned, it's been hard to fit anything in since by the time I get home, I am hungry and then just want to sit on the couch the rest of the night. When I worked until 3:30, I'd have LOTS of time after work to get a workout in before DH got home (if I went to the gym OR did something at home). I could do more AM stuff, but I like my sleep at the moment... that may need to change, also mentioned.

  • What is your health/nutrition goal this week?
    Cut back on the sugar.

What is your fitness goal this week?
Walk about 8 miles total. Did 2 today.

    Any challenges this week?
Mid week business trip! It's only overnight and only 3 hours away but it throws off a bunch.

How did you do with your goals last week?
    I didn't have any...so great!

GTKY:  What has been your biggest fitness challenge as your pregnancy has progressed?  How have/are you overcoming it.
getting put on major restrictions at 19 weeks. I had to cut back to only walking...no running or lifting. But I kept walking until I got sick for a month. Now that's gone and I'm trying to get back into a good fitness routine. Totally a work in progress.

  • What is your health/nutrition goal this week?
Actually count my calories like the doctor recommended.  Eat more veggies (I have been doing well with this, thankfully).

What is your fitness goal this week?
Get in at least 2 walks outdoors, possibly 3 with the toddler.  Maybe one on the treadmill as well.

    Any challenges this week?
    The heat.

How did you do with your goals last week?
I didn't make any on here, but I think I did okay with starting to log and walk.

GTKY:  What has been your biggest fitness challenge as your pregnancy has progressed?  How have/are you overcoming it. Being sore.  I had a back injury (DDD/sciatica/inability to walk) last year that seems to be flaring up.
