I'm naming my girl Charlotte so we can call her Charlie for short but I love Penny! We considered it too but it's not French and I don't want to hear the family put it in a French sentence because it's actually how you pronounce penis... But if you're English, Penny is pretty!

If you're looking for opinions, mine is to go with a formal name and to use these as nicknames. Give her the option of using a cutesy nickname or a name that's more formal when she enters the workforce.
Re: Down to two names
Are you going with longer legal names: Charlotte or Penelope?
Reason I ask is because I prefer Penny over Charlie, and Charlotte over Penelope.
Do both sound good with your last name?
