Going from 0 to 1 or 1 to 2 and so forth...

What has been the hardest transition for you?  Going from bringing home your first child or from one to two kids...or two to three...and so forth?  I'm guessing this has probably been discussed in some parts and as babies are arriving all the time - just wondering what other mamas are thinking.

For me, not knowing what it would be like to have a child was a big transition.  It took time to figure things out and how to operate.  I would say though that so far going from 1 to 2 kids was more difficult because I was learning how to juggle the two...esp when the older sibling was still young.  Nap time proved to be very challenging for me early on.  I'm thinking about how to add the 3rd and in some ways it just seems fairly easy and in other ways - it seems difficult.

Anyways, what was been difficult for you?  Easy for you?  What's been something that has worked for you as you have made these different transitions?

  • As a FTM I can't really speak for myself but most of our friends with kids agree that going from 0-1 is the biggest change and then from 2-3. They all stated going from 1-2 was not that big of a transition for them.

  • 0-1 was by far the hardest change. 1-2 was a piece of cake. 2-3 has been challenging but not as bad as the first kid. :)

  • 0-1 was MUCH harder than 1-2 for us
