Why my pregnant self is crying - 9/15

What's got us crying this week?

Re: Why my pregnant self is crying - 9/15

  • I cried because I couldn't be in the room with my daughter at the dentist bc Im pregnant and they used laughing gas..

I cried bc I dropped her off at her first day of school..

I also cried bc I don't know what I wanna do in regards to VBAC or RCS.. I'm terrified of making the "wrong" decision. Thankfully my Dr is great and really calmed me down.

  • Everything. Literally everything this week is making me bawl my face off.
  • Watching the little opera singing girl last night on AGT sing with the Three Tenors. I mean, beautiful music like that can usually bring a tear to my eye. But, seeing that little girl up there with them. Just the whole thing. I definitely cried a little.

  • Pretty much any article I've read online. I know I asked for it when reading one about 5 things to do to prepare for euthanizing your dog (my dogs are 2 and 6, I really don't want to have to think about having to do that for years), but didn't expect to bawl reading the article about a football player becoming an American citizen. And then a video of Ellen scaring guests on her show had me laughing hysterically, which somehow turned into crying again!

  • @momtoleo Ellen scaring her guests is a classic! I love watching those videos when I need a good laugh!

  • @HappyAnjel

I completely agree!!  My doc told me about one of her patients that was scheduled for a c-section, but ended up going into labor and she ended up fine.  But then i think....what if I'm that 1%?   :/
  • I bawled during the last episode of Stranger Things!
  • Listening to "Let it Go"....I just had a moment where I empathized with Elsa.........

  • I re-watched the Huggies commercial 3 times and cried every time at the end when the babies are lying on the mom's chest. Then I cried more telling DH I really want that this time. DS had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck so we didn't get to do skin to skin immediately like I had hoped. But he was healthy so that's all that matters!
  • I lost it big time today because I forgot that it was picture day at my son's school and he is wearing a baseball jersey! Cried to my husband for 30 minutes about what a horrible mom I was!
  • I've been crying all morning because I have an awful sinus cold and can't take anything for it. I feel like my head is going to explode!
  • I just watched Father of the Bride II. For the billionth time. Cried at so many parts!!!
  • DD1 turned 4 yesterday so we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I cried like a baby when she rode the saddle and everyone sang happy birthday to her
  • I know this makes me sound like a huge nerd but I'm re-reading the Harry Potter books to keep my mind distracted from anxiety and I cried so hard at the end of book five when a certain person died. My husband laughed at me. Lol.
  • I should be...

    • husband lost his job (Fortune 50 company headquartered in our city that last year announced 10,000 layoffs worldwide by 2018...this time was about 1,200).
    • 2,500 engineers in our city posted resumes on indeed.com (DH is engineer)
    • We will have to move...lots of job options but not in our city/state
    • housing market is down 15% in our city
    • I have a contract with my job (I teach at university) AND just started MFA program that I'm paying for so I can continue to teach. I feel guilty if he gets something next few months and I have to break in middle of school year and we move.
    • IF we stay, it's because he didn't find a job so just on my income and unemployment is just 6 months
Just taking it one day/one step at a time
  • @WkoutMomtoBe so much stress! Big hugs to you!  <3

    Thanks! I'm surprisingly doing okay!

Oh, forgot to add stress of ob/gyn. I'm switching drs. It's been one thing after the other with them. I LOST it last week when I sat for 40 minutes for a progesterone test (every 2 weeks) because the lab lost the order. The lab has been a huge issue (amongst other things) and the practice has become too big...basically a baby factory.

THEN I couldn't switch to doctor I wanted because it's policy of new dr that  they don't take established pregnant patients. I nicely explained that there too many problems going on at current dr and if they can't accept me I have found another practice who would (which I had) but THEY were my 1st choice. They called back a few hours later and said they'd take me. WOO

Ummm....this sounds awful! I fear this! Try Manuka Honey..1 to 2 tablepoons per day.

You can buy it at healthful store but it's pricey (but you might have to for time being) then order some online. It's natures natural antibiotic and it worked for my strep throat (before I realized that's what I had - dr called with results 2 days later and of course I had a weird strain of it). It's also good for digestive and many other issues

I now want to watch this!
  • @WkoutMomtoBe I'm feeling a lot better already thank goodness! I did end up using a remedy that works awesome for colds (raw honey, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, lemon slice, in hot water) just in case anyone else gets sick
  • Not crying yet but....

Let me add another iron to my fire: I found out tonight my sister is in hospital...tried to commit suicide. Almost 1 year to day of her doing it last year (took pills)...And that's like at least attempt #5 that I know of in last 5 years or so. She has had depression for 20 + years and in recent 5 years some medical conditions (right after a terrible 2 year divorce). They gave her pain pills so that exacerbated it all and she's addicted so it's just a vicious cycle.

She refuses help/rehab over the years, maybe this time will be different (though she's not in the hospital with mental health floor which could at least help her temporarily and refer her to somewhere and *maybe* she'd get help. She has a 9 year old and almost 3 year old son.
  • @WkoutMomtoBe Hugs! That is a lot of stress happening all at the same time. Thinking of you.  :/

Thanks! I seem to be oksy...maybe super hormones?! I just feel helpless for her
  • Just watched the series premier of This Is Us from my DVR and now I'm bawling. I can't tell if I think it's actually a good show or if it's just ... babies.

Im also so sorry to hear that @WkoutMomtoBe
  • @Dannylion24 I really want to watch it! It looked really good based off the commercials.

  • @kirstinh88 I really did like it, but I always caveat my show suggestions by admitting my questionable taste! I watch everything from Walking Dead to GOT to Ray Donovan, Shameless, Chicago ER, AHS, Scream Queens, Empire, Modern Family, and Law & Order SVU!  I'm all over the map bc I like to have stuff playing in the background when it's just my toddlers and I during the day.
  • @Dannylion24 I enjoyed it but I think it might need a bit of time to really pick-up. But hey, that plot twist at the end was pretty unexpected so I figure they must have at least somewhat decent writers.
  • Because of The Voice.  Well i
     holding them in....
