So my situation is a little strange but since my boyfriend works overnight 8 days straight and 6 days off the week that he's doing overnights one of our parents comes over and allows him to sleep at least a few hours before work. Then they leave when I get home from work. We don't see each other much at all, but we gotta do what we gotta do!
And @shaylalr my whole areola fit in my flange. So long as your nipple isn't being pulled down too far into the shaft you should be fine. I think the more breast that's in the flange the better because you'd be applying more suction but I'm definitely not an expert!!
Got the first dose of working mom balance yesterday. Daycare called (already...day 4) to say that LO was running a temp & had a bad diaper. 4 days in and already and to take a laptop and small stack home with me to try to get some work done while she napped. BTW - I never changed a poop diaper all day yesterday while home with her. Think it was just a bad blowout...the temp is a little questioning though.
First day back on Monday. I've been reading this thread and love it. I'm just remembering that I did the same thing with my first, and everything turned out fine.
Anybody's lovely baby refusing to eat while you're at work? I'm going back part-time and started with one day per week. Elijah refuses the bottle, syringe and sippy cup. My husband thinks he knows milk is in there, he's just refusing it because he prefers to nurse. I'm enjoying my work days but it's stressful knowing I will come home to a hungry, screaming baby.... Any tips are appreciated!!!
Hi all! I've been back to work since mid August when my daughter turned 7 weeks old. Luckily it's been from home, unfortunately, I do have to go back to the office full time starting 10/3, I am not looking forward to it . I feel like I'm going to miss so much of her development, she will be going to a friend who will watch her for 10ish hours. Feeling nervous and scared as I count down the days.
