Sorry to have disappeared!!

Just wanted to aplogize for disappearing this past week! I have been really struggling lately with my nausea and exhaustion as well as still teaching and packing our house for our big move at the end of the month! Whew I'm tired just thinking of everything I have to do and wonder how I will get it all done in time!

We had our first perinatalogist appointment last week and they were amazing at how well the babies were measuring and heartbeats were good and strong. All babies are measuring the same size and none are measuring small which is very rare according to the drs. They discussed that I will most likely be put on bedrest by 20 weeks which makes me feel like my time is quickly dwindling to get things done and squeeze some last only child tims in with my son.

My husband and I are still I shock and every night we ask ourselves "is this real life?" But we are also very blessed and thank god everyday for these amazing yet unexpected miracles.

I have attached the latest ultrasound image to make up for my absence!

Ps can anyone recommend a perinatalogist in the Boston area???

So happy for the update! I don't have any personal experience with perinatology but I would definitely recommend seeing if Emerson hospital in Concord has any available. We delivered DS there and will be delivering this baby there as well. The entire staff we encountered there is amazing and so accommodating. They actually let NICU parents stay in empty available rooms at no charge for as long as they are able to. I can't gush enough about the staff there. Concord OB is right across the street if you're also looking for an OB. Brigham and Women's is also close and I've heard good things about them but don't have any personal experience.

ETA: Where in the Boston area are you moving?

  • @Gators&BoSox we are actually going to be in NH but right next to the MA border. I have heard alot of good things about the hospitals and NICUS in the Boston area so I'm hoping to find an ob/perinatalogist in that area so that I can deliver with some of the best drs and facilities for our needs as I could deliver the quads as early as 29.5 weeks! Thank you for the recommendation. I am definitely going to look into Emerson Hospital. :)
  • @ccook1211 you're coming up at the perfect time the leaves will be so pretty.. unless you're already a new englander then you know the deal lol
  • @ccook1211 I don't know a perinatologist, but I do know that it seems like every one of my friends or coworkers has had their babies at (or been transferred to the NICU) at Beth Israel or Tufts Medical in Boston. They are supposed to be some of the best facilities with the best doctors. We're in MA, but on the NH border. I'm not a big city person, so I've used smaller hospitals... But if I were high-risk or having multiples, the city is where I'd go.
Very happy to hear the babies are all doing well!

  • Welcome to MA!  I'm from MA, too, and had a great delivery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. BWH is affiliated with the Children's Hospital. Have a smooth move!
