I've been trying to eat relatively healthy, especially since starting second trimester. However, I'm starting to lose weight vs. gain and I think it's because most of what we have in our house is low calorie foods, so I struggle to eat enough to fulfill the caloric requirement every day. My husband is dieting and trying to stick to just chicken and veggie type foods. So today I ordered a thin crust pizza for myself with extra cheese to try to correct my caloric deficit and my husband got upset at me for bringing bad food into the house because it tempts him. My question is. Is it better to continue to eat just the healthier foods during pregnancy, even if it's a little under the calorie intake I am supposed to be getting, or is it better to sometimes have the less that perfect-nutrition foods like pizza, so that I make sure I meet my calorie goal every day?
Re: Nutrition question
Talk to you doctor. They're the only one who can tell you for sure if it's okay for you to not make the goal / requirement each day as well as if it's okay that you're loosing weight while pregnant. If your husband gets upset because it tempts him then have it when he's not around (ex: lunch at work)
