Had our anatomy scan this morning. Baby is looking great, all parts accounted for. Baby is measuring a few days behind at 18w1d (I'm 18w4d) but not worried about it. Excited to say we are now Team Blue! DS gets a little brother for a best friend. I'm so excited to see them together.
Had my anatomy scan yesterday at 19w0d. It was very disappointing as baby would not stop moving and we got no good looks at the face. None of the 3D/4D images were readable. I'm kind of hating on myself because I'm afraid that my weight/being a plus size mom may be why we couldn't see the face... US tech wouldn't give us a gender. What do you think? I immediately saw 3 lines and thought girl. Doctor say girl too but I"m nervous because my mom and brother both had baby girls that ended up being boys!
@fbmandy55 your weight has nothing to do with the baby's movement. Did you eat or drink something beforehand? I feel mine move more after a meal than other times.
It does look like a girl to me! Since it sounds like they didnt all the images they need will you be going back?

I did eat before. I saw something about having a soda or juice before so the baby is active... mine was too active!
Doctor said he isn't planning anymore US for me. We do have a non-medical US place that does fun gender reveals. We can go anytime for $150...
@fbmandy55 I'm sure your weight has nothing to do with the ultrasound momma. it sounds like baby was just having some fun in there and wanted to hide. And looking at the U/S, I would say girl too because 3 lines. But I am no where near a medical professional.
Anatomy scan this morning at 20w1d. Baby boy is measuring big at 21w3d and fundal height measured at 22 weeks! We might end up with a large baby unless his growth slows down some.
Finally get to play too! Baby is healthy and right on track! I'm 20w3d today. I'll announce the sex later...should prob tell my husband before the Internet : ) **update now that hubby knows...it's a boy! and he "mooned" the tech and me today lol
The anatomy scan (18w) revealed all good things! I feel blessed & relieved. It's beyond amazing to see all the movement, in real time: thumb sucking, high five, yawn, rolling, kicking! And to see 4 chambers of the heart beating, the valves swishing open & closed... amazing! It's immensely humbling (and an honor) to be growing a person. (*If I can recall this deep feeling of gratitude during those times when I'm unable to sleep at night, having to get up to pee, grumbling over heartburn... it'll be a Christmas miracle.)
19w, anatomy scan today. Baby BOY looks good, but was in a bad position for spine and kidney measurements. So we are going back in 7-10 days to check on those.
Anatomy scan today ato 18 weeks, 6 days! I had blood work because she was being stubborn and wouldn't show the bottom of her spine but the doctor said everything looks fine. It's just to double check.
Had our 20 week anatomy scan at exactly 20w 0d. We found out that we are having a baby girl, and we are so excited! Everything seemed like it was good, but we have a follow up appointment with the midwife on the 3rd to go over everything!
A/s today! Love seeing little man playing around in there and hearing his heartbeat! Have to have another u/s in 4 weeks to get better pictures of the heart and abdomen, but other than that he looks good and on track! He just wasn't cooperating lol stubborn like his mom!
Had our anatomy scan last week at exactly 20w. Little girl was active but luckily cooperated it was amazing seeing all her fingers and toes, her face, and all organs working well. Doc says everything looked and measured right on track!
@tracey&pat If a technician is not able to determine the sex, what makes you think we can? This will not go over well here, so you're better off showing the potty shot over in BCC
I'm asking because it's fun to hear what people guess. Isn't that why everyone asks?? Also, there is a post pretty much exactly like mine on this exact same page so why wouldn't mine go over well? If you don't want to answer my post with an actual reply, why bother saying anything at all?
@tracey&pat I have no idea what post you're referring to. There was one where someone asked us to guess the sex and it turned into a GBCB, but that post disappeared during some maintenance work. Plus I saw that you haven't been very active here, I'm just letting you know this is not the place for it. That's all.

@tracey&pat Do you often walk into a room of strangers and show them a picture of your uterus? Bonus points if you ask those strangers to guess which genitals your kid possesses.
If I had to guess? I can't tell you the sex. But it looks like a hipster who secretly listens to Britney Spears.
It's a girl! Had my anatomy scan today and everything was fine except the doctor saw something close to the private area, but she said she wouldn't worry about it and they would monitor it at my next appointment. The doctor will explain it more tomorrow over the phone because she knew I was planning a gender reveal today and she said if she told me about the area of concern, she would have to tell me the gender. She was very confident that it was nothing to worry about, so she gave me the option to hear about it today or tomorrow and I chose tomorrow. If you look on the sex thread, you might be able to see what the doctor is referring to. Anyways, I'm happy with everything right now.
My doctor called me and said there was a cist on or near the ovarian and she said it's so small and most likely will go away. She said if it was quadrupled the size it is now then she would be worried.they will monitor it at the next few appointments. I'm still worried about it, but I'll just stay positive and hope for the best outcome.
@tracey&pat the bump is notorious for not liking "guess how my baby pee" posts. Trust me go onto any other BMB, tri board, or any board for that matter. There is a reason your tech told you its in conclusive. BECASUE IT IS!!!! The top pic looks just like my 2 boys. However, the bottom pic has 3 lines like a girl. So therefor the tech really can't tell. Our question to you is. If a trained professional who does this for a living and prob sees about 15-20 of these a day can't tell why would you think perfect internet stangers can. Trust me I'm not saying this to be mean. I'm saying this to be honest. Saying that guessing is fun is a lie. Its not fun for us to look at people's ultrasounds and guess what they're having. What's fun is talking about names, or baby gear recommendations, or even talking about TV shows. But ultrasound guesses is def not on that list. If I were you I would maybe try to do an elective scan on another day to see if they can get a better look. If not then you'll just have to find out at birth. I know it sounds tough but it is what it is.
Had a great ultrasound today! Baby is totally healthy, which is a huge relief. Although I was pretty sure the universe couldn't possibly throw anything else at me at the moment and I'm glad I was right.
We looked away when they looked between the legs so we successfully stayed team green. I will be getting another ultrasound on Thursday at our first MFM appointment and the OB said probably monthly appointments after that to monitor growth which is a concern under chemo. I know there's a lot ahead for this little baby, but I'm glad to know he/she is starting off in a good place.
@rainydays86, I'm so glad you received a good report on baby. We go for u/s on Thursday. I'm trying to stay team green. Was it hard in the moment not to look?
@clebl24 I actually didn't think so. I'm very stubborn though so when I set my mind to something and tell people about it I generally don't back out. For me, telling the tech we didn't want to know was enough to hold me to closing my eyes when the time came.
Here is our little puppy at 24 weeks today! We are going in for 3-D u/s every 5-6 weeks to monitor his cleft lip. We know as of today that is is quite minor compared to some, so we are very very happy! Sometimes the cleft is wide enough you can see through it, and it can really distort the nose. We are so happy to see it's just a little split and his nose looks perfect albeit a teeny bit tilted! We will find out if his palate is also cleft in 6 weeks. (even if it is, it is so minor that he just couldn't tell for sure today, more good news!)
@sweaterboots It does look really minor, that is great! @Louise_Belcher oh my goodness he is going to be a cutie! I kind of want to do a boutique U/S now for a new peek at Baby.
