Trouble TTC

1st using clomid- question

hello this is my first time attempting clomid. My OB put me on for 5 days and then today I started estradoil for 5 days. im supposed to go in tomorrow for a sonogram. i usually O on CD13, sometimes 14 so I thought I had some time. I took and OPk this morning and it looks like this!!! This is a negative right?
Has anyone else experienced O so early when using clomid?

  • This is usually what it looks like right before I get a positive. I would expect it later today or tomorrow Earlty

  • That does look negative to me. What CD are you today? I did my first cycle of Clomid and it didn't impact my O date at all--I ended up triggering at CD13 anyway. My RE told me your regular O date means nothing with Clomid, but I think she meant that it could be delayed since Clomid follicles can grow to 30mm. But I don't know about it in combination with estradiol. I'd say test again tonight and see if it's different. My understanding is that OPKs are most accurate in the evening. Sorry I'm not more help!
  • I would recommend the digital opks!!!!!!  I got really tired of analyzing those damn lines, haha.  That looks pretty positive to me, was it?  I ovulated late on clomid, so they switched me to Femara and trigger shots.

  • @Stuuuaaart Do you have PCOS? If so, OPKs are often unreliable. Or at least thats what my RE told me.

Current Treatment: Metformin, Provera, Letrozole, Trigger, IUI
Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN
Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP!

  • Oh that's a good point, too, haha.  The only true positive I ever got was after a trigger shot.
