And seriously, y'all... I ran out of lunch food to take to work yesterday, so I have nothing for lunch today and have been trying to figure out what I want to do (i.e. where I want to go pickup lunch). Why aren't restaurants serving pizza rolls?!
In fact, I'd like to start a restaurant that is all junk food/old school food, but for adults. Pizza rolls, Bagel Bites, cereal, Dunkaroos, pb&j, Lunchables, Capri-Suns, fruit Gushers, Surge, Candy Cigarettes, Bugles, Push Pops, Clearly Canadian, 3D Doritos...we'd all be fat and have diabetes, but man... we'd all be happy!

I wish this was a thing!
FWIW, I have bought pizza rolls and put them in the microwave at lunch (not as good as if they were in the oven) before! Worth it.
@bnsmith85 - Sounds like a good investment to me . If we <you> could swing it, I'd jump on it.
@bamacoop - Don't even joke about Dunkaroos. I can't believe they're not a thing any more.
@annabenanna - I'll be honest that I like bagel bites more than pizza rolls, but I'll still get down with them. Make sure you cook them in the toaster oven or oven (not microwave) for your first time. Also, I cut them in half to eliminate the cheese poop scalding your skin thing.

@AllyTheKid Chocolate Soldier... I have never heard of this thing!
@OrangeEv Aside from the weird fruit thingy, that looks like the best lunch ever. Well, they need some of those teeny tiny pepperoni squares on the pizza. But other than that, this was life in elementary school.
Now, in junior high I survived on bbq potato chips and purple Fanta literally the entire time, if I didn't bring a lunch from home.
High school I got a bit more refined and ate a big boxed salad with a fried chicken patty cut up on the top. Those were the days...
@kaessi I shared your same concerns about DD being lonely as an only child. My brother and I are 15 years apart and not close at all, so I always wanted to have 2 kids that were relatively close in age. But after DD was born, we had 3 losses and I was starting to give up hope that we would ever be able to have another child. So, I started to focus on all of the positive things about having an only child. She will be the beneficiary of ALL of your resources (time, money, attention, etc.) and she will be the center of everyone's world, especially since she won't even have cousins to compete for attention! My DD has been the only child for 5 years now and she has an amazing vocabulary that is incredibly advanced for her age, because she was around adults all the time when she was learning to talk. There are lots more, and I certainly don't mean to belittle your disappointment about her potential status as an only child, but I hope that you can find a way to see the benefits of the situation as well.
@ball4768 Aww thank you so much for that! That does make me feel better! She will certainly be loved & spoiled, that's for sure ☺️
And @OrangeEv Pizza day was my favorite!! Oh my goodness, I can almost taste it. I remember there being big ol' fennel seeds stuck in the cheese. I would have the worst burps later, but oh my, so good at the time!
I've never had pizza rolls either. I'm pretty sure it would be blasphemy coming from an Italian family. Although that does remind me of a business idea I had: I want to start a food truck called "bite sized Italian" (bc I, along with the rest of my family are short haha) where we serve all classic Italian foods in bite sized form.
OK, this was a lot to catch up on. But, basically, give me all the pizza products.
@bamacoop I have a British husband, too. And relish in the same things as you. "How have you NEVER heard of <insert popular American culture staple>?" To be fair, he loses me with talk of salad cream and other such nonsense.
oh myyy goshhhh so much goodness in this thread. Dying. Hahah.
also, today me and a friend tried out this new cafe/drinks place and the food was awesome but not only that it is apparently one of the only places in town that can REALLY make mixed drinks. My friend tried the mulberry sangria and a mango margarita (which I took a small sip of each) and oh my gosh I can't wait til this baby is out and we can go for drinks there. It was incredible. And made me really miss alcohol even more. Hahah.
My H loves Publix and World Market. Publix has a little British section, so they have salad cream, Heinz beans, fruit pastilles, and a few other things he likes. And World Market has Daim bars. We always have to get them when we go in there.
I love that there are so many American things he doesn't know yet, and it's even better since we live in the South. So not only does he have to learn about Bagel Bites and turning right on red ("What?! Why would you turn if the light is red! That's not right!), but he also gets to learn about random summer thunderstorms that come and go quickly, the proper use of "might could," and how to shoot a gun.
@annabenanna Some people swear by them, but other things work just as well and don't take as much space. I have a bouncer and a rocker at my house. DH got a swing at a garage sale and I sent it to my mother's house because I don't have the room for it.
@krzyriver, we registered for the RNP because we've heard so many good things and some people use just that for their bouncer/swing/sleeper gadget.... and it takes up so little space... but now I'm wondering if we need something else, like an actual swing. you know?
@F47@bamacoop OMG, what is salad cream??? it can't be worse that Spotted Dick, right?
Oh, but it can. It's like a yellowed mayonnaise. But, it has a vinegar smell. It's vile. (Although, admittedly, I've never tasted it). He will dip or top anything in it. But, the worst is when he makes hardboiled eggs on toast and adds salad cream. Like, how stinky can we get here?
At least in America it's kept safely in our fridge. His mom in England keeps it in the pantry!
Ahhh in that expat supermarkets they have a lot of British imported things and I always see "salad cream" but have never bought it. I lived with a British lady for awhile and I feel like she lived on heinz beans on toast. haha

Oh wow! We only bought it once, and once it was opened it went straight into the fridge!
My H likes him some HP Sauce. We've only gotten it a couple times too, but he talks about it a lot. "This would be good with some HP Sauce," "We should get your dad to try some HP Sauce," "We should buy some HP Sauce for your parents' house for when we go to visit."
@annabenanna I wouldn't worry about it if space is limited. Some babies LOVE them but others don't care for them. I'd wait and see how your RNP works out before you start stressing out about getting more stuff. Baby might love the RNP so much that you never need anything else.
@OrangEv YES! Where I live, you can get huge box of frozen school pizzas at the wholesale/restaurant food store. We just bought a deep freeze ... now I may need to stock it!
I can't be judgemental of spotted dick and salad cream. I'm Filipina, you guys. We have worse things. Like fish sauce, fermented shrimp and crab fat paste. LOL
On another note: This is something I will definitely speak to my doctor about, but I'm just wondering... is it bad that I haven't had any BH contractions? It feels like everyone is having them about now.
I keep thinking I'm not that far along, so it's not a big deal, but apparently women start having them around 28-30 weeks? Is that right?
I just know that BH are supposed to be your body's way of "preparing for labor" or whatever, and since I haven't had any yet I'm just thinking.... is my body not preparing for labor? Or is it just procrastinating, like I do with everything in life?

I havent noticed them either... but I feel like maybe I just don't know what to look for?
@annabenanna my friend's baby LOVES his bouncer. Like the kind they can lay in and kick their feet to move. That kid is going to have the strongest legs. I'd give what you have a try and only get the swing if you find the other stuff isn't working

I think you guys are right. We'll just wait and see!
@bamacoop, like @kmolletz and @krzyriver have said, you are probably having them without feeling them. When I was pregnant with my first, I just thought baby was moving into the middle of my stomach until I was hooked up to the NST and the tech was like "Oh, that's a big contraction." I thought "Oh, that's what they feel like."
@bamacoop@kmolleltz I never felt a single one during my first pregnancy, fear not. Whether you are or aren't, that baby will come out eventually one way or the other!

@annabenanna Totino's brand, all the way. Nothing else will do. And the meme I posted isn't a joke. Watch that cheese!
