***2nd Trimester Check In - Week of August 29***

@dragonfaerie I'm so excited! My husband will be coming to that one, he hasn't been able to come to previous ultrasounds due to work. The only ones he ever went to was at the fertility clinic when our little babe was just a tiny bean. I'm just more excited for this one because it's so much more detailed and longer from what others say. 
P.S. I love how you call your little one Wee...come Thursday you'll be able to say he or she . Do you have any feelings on what it might be? I had a gut feeling from the beginning ours was a boy.

@tulips29 I had a gut feeling we were having a boy as well, and we are. The "wives tales" were completely off for me. I got 16 saying girl, 4 saying boy and 3 inconclusive LOL!!!

@chicandbubbly yay for boy! I went through all the old wives tales and it was split in half for me. It was fun to go through them all and keep guessing.

Ugh ladies I'm so frustrated with the wound on my butt check from those progesterone injections. So yesterday had to see a wound dr thought he would just be putting another type of dressing on it but instead more surgery and now I'm going to have a wound vac and I'm off work for two weeks ugh

@Tulips29 That's great that your DH can come to the appointment. So far we've been lucky that DH can come to all of them so far. I've told him he doesn't have to, especially for the quick Doppler ones, but he wants to so I'll let him.
Our family is Irish/Scottish, so it was really easy to fall into calling them "Wee", especially with our pregnancy announcement. I hate saying "it" so we just have been saying "he" anyway, and I have kinda been feeling like Wee is a boy all along. Also, I hadn't said anything but last week when we went in for a quick check up because of my cramps, we got a little glimpse and the tech thought it looked like a boy. So we'll get confirmation next week. Several have said based on the heartrates I was posting they thought it was a boy, and then the fact that I craved salt/vinegar instead of sugar meant boy. The Chinese calendar thing says girl though. Hm....

@ultratomato Oh man, that is just awful! I'm so sorry you have to have another surgery.

@ultratomato ugh, sorry you have to go through another procedure. Hopefully this is the last one and you'll have a speedy recovery! 

@dragonfaerie ha, aren't all those predictions fun! Based on our heart rate #'s, they all point towards a girl. Chinese calendar said boy...the ring over belly test was split in half. He also never cooperates during u/s and flips all over so the techs haven't been able to see anything yet. I had this dream a while back that our PGS report turned out wrong and the anatomy scan showed it's a girl...and we already did the gender reveal and told everyone it's a boy so now would have to go back and say OOPS, it's a girl now lol.

@Tulips29 That's so funny. That was my biggest fear and why I decided not to get the PGS report. Hopefully both of ours cooperate for the scan!

@dragonfaerie when I asked my doctor about possible errors on the PGS report, he said chances of getting hit by a bus on a street where buses don't run are higher...lol. I've been less worried since then, but still so curious to see how the whole anatomy scan will be next week.

@Tulips29 Ha! That's awesome. I think I was more worried that we said we'd transfer embryo #1, but it was actually #2 so then it'd be wrong. Ah well, we are in the final countdown!

 I was having "period cramps" yesterday for consecutive hours so the on call Doctor made me go to OB triage. Apparently as an IVF pregnancy & having fibroids, preterm labor is always a possibility. I was hooked up to monitors & evaluated. Although the monitors were showing minor contractions, they weren't changing my cervix any. They did cultures to test for vaginal infection (negative) & FFN (testing fibronectin? Basically a test that determines preterm labor/if you'll go into labor within the next 2 weeks) & that was negative too. They found some blood in my urine & are sending it out for culture. I don't have any UTI symptoms at the moment. No one knows what was causing my discomfort, but they say all is well so I'm not too concerned. Rest & fluids are the doctors orders.
