Trouble TTC

Temping question (loss mentioned)

I haven't temped in a long time. When I tried temping it did work for me. I got PG but suffered a MC. I can't remember the specifics of it. I Want to start tempting again. Here are my questions?
When your temp drops and then spikes, which day did you O? On the temp drop or on the spike?

Re: Temping question (loss mentioned)

  • I find logging my temps in an app like fertility friend helpful for determining ovulation date. They also have great tutorials on charting BBT.

To answer your question, O day is the day before your temp spike (some people have a temp drop that day, but not always).

  • I second everything @ReesaAnne16 said. I'd also recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's a great resource and goes into detail on bbt, among other things. Especially helpful if you want to track manually.

    I'm sorry about your loss!
