@bnsmith85 we just wash our son's delicate stuffed animals in the "hand wash" cycle of the washing machine and dry on low heat. He only had one lovey, but he did spit up on it a few times so we had to wash it and it came through the wash fine.
@bnsmith85 my daughter is getting close to 4 and has had her lovie since birth. I've never had to wash it special. I didn't even think you would until I read this. So to answer your question I would just throw it in with the towels, that's where lovies go here and they seem to of survived.

And they stay soft? I'm sure not after years of washing, but one wash won't take away the softness, right? I mentioned that I asked this to DH and he's insisting on washing. His rationale is that you don't know what some rando had on their hands after a trip to the bathroom... And then touched it and decided not to buy. Solid logic that I've used before so I can't argue
@bnsmith85 I have not tried this myself but my sister said to wash it inside a pillow case. Apparently that's what she does for pillow pets and it doesn't mat down the 'fur' (for lack of a better word). I definitely have been meaning to try it but it always slips my mind.
I'm sorry your insurance is dicking you around so bad. Hope this means they've gotten their shit together.
I just got back from camping today (Sunday through today) and I am exhausted. The camping was fun except for the awful, awful BHs I was getting and had to lay down for a while. Today I just feel like garbage. I already made one call to the MW today and I'm hoping I don't have to make another tomorrow.
@bnsmith85 We've washed our son's lovies for 2.5 years and they're all still super soft. He drags them everywhere, drops them on floors at restaurants, airports, in the car etc., so not washing isn't really an option. I always put them in with his sheets and blankets and have never had an issue.
One recommendation: Buy spares. After DS became attached to a certain kind, we bought a bunch (like 6 or 7). They were a gift from family in England, so we just stocked up when we went to visit. I can't imagine the wrath of we only had one and lost it. Plus, if he barfs on one, or rubs it on the floor or something, I can grab another out of the closet and wash the dirty one later.
I think this baby is trying to escape through my belly button! Seriously, he's been rolling around and pushing so hard, I had to stand up and stretch. It helped at the time, but then he went right back to pushing against me. I think I'm going to be bruised internally. Also, kid, how big are you, anyway? Because you feel HUGE.
@bnsmith85 it's not super soft anymore but most of its ears are chewed/sucked off cause she didn't use a soother or her fingers to go to sleep she sucked on the blanket. I think if it wasn't sucked on for 2 years it would probably be much softer, but the blanket part is soft still it's just the bunnies head that's not as soft anymore, but I blame that to the sucking on it not the washing of it. I echo what @F47 said about finding a spare. I have spent many hours of my life looking for the effing bunny cause it got jammed somewhere stupid or got thrown up on in the middle of the night and had to be washed and there was no duplicate.
My belly was in a freaking triangle tonight, never witnessed something so messed up and down right creepy. I could literally see his knees protruding out of my stomach. Never had that with my girls. Ever. I wish I had gotten a picture.

We don't have any lovies specifically, but I am in the process of washing everything fabric we've gotten. Clothes, blankets, stuffed animals and toys. I figured not only do I not know where they've been but also for allergy sensitivity reasons.
Gymboree was on sale (probably still is) and I got baby's official "take home" outfit. I couldn't bring myself to spend $50+ on an outfit he would only wear once... but I did want something special for him to wear coming home. So I bought an ensemble he can wear again, but also was "matchy matchy" enough to be his take home outfit. Everything was 50% off!
@krzyriver, can you teach me how to gel polish? I have the curing light, and want to learn how to DIY. What do I need to buy besides the actual gel polish? Is there a special base coat and a special top coat?
@annabenanna - sorry to jump in when you asked someone else - but just wanted to recommend checking through some youtube before starting your gels. My MIL does her own gels and learned a lot this way, and hers last a long time and look great. And you def need the gel specific top coat (though idk about the base coat).
@NoraAurora, thanks for the tip! gonna now go down the youtube rabbit hole. Hahaha. I was gonna book an appointment for gels, but I think I'd be able to save so much money if I could just DIY this!
@annabenanna Sorry to hijack your question to someone else but I do my own gels so I thought I would try to help. I think OPI gel is the easiest (at least for my nonprofessional self). You need a special base coat and top coat. I also like sensationail. That has a combined base and top coat. My biggest tip is to make sure you don't get any on your cuticles. If you get it on your skin/cuticles it won't seal correctly and will peel off sooner.
This morning I was sooooo tired I had my caffeine allotment of two cups of coffee (typically I mix half decaf/half regular for my home brew).
I just stopped at a coffee shop after my OB appointment to finish out the work day. I meant to order my iced latte decaf, but I forgot until it was ready. I felt too bad asking them to remake it, so I vowed I would only drink half. But, damn it was good. And...now it's gone. Oops.
I'll justify it by having no caffeine tomorrow. (Someone needs to hold me to that).
@KarenBM13, Thank you so much!!! I was actually trying to figure out the brands and I was lost. Do you know if like a Sally beauty supply would carry it!? I was hoping to get it Thursday!
@annabenanna, I think so! They would almost definitely have Sensationail if they don't have OPI. (https://www.sensationail.com/). They should have a starter kit with the top and base coat and stuff and then a bunch of color options.
@F47 I think I pass my caffeine allotment at least three times a week, or come dangerously close at the minimum. I just can't quit the Coca-Cola...
@AllyTheKid I'm paying for it now. I feel super weird. My body isn't used to so much caffeine anymore. But, maybe I'll have energy to clean that pantry and junk drawer after DS goes to sleep!
