Re: Weekly Symptom Check in 8/22/16

  • I've recently started feeling dizzy randomly. It has happened when I'm sitting and standing, so I don't think it's related to getting up too fast and I drink plenty of water throughout the day, it shouldn't be from dehydration. I've had it soon after eating so it shouldn't be from low blood sugar either. I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday so I will ask her about it. All urine and blood pressure tests up to this point have been normal so I'm hoping it's not pre-e, not sure how fast that comes on. I had no symptoms at my last appointment, maybe I could have developed it since?

Anyone else experiencing dizziness? When it happens, my ears usually feel clogged or I have ringing in my ears as well.

  • had what I think was round ligament pain during my run Saturday. It was pretty intense which sucked but it seemed to go away when I walked. I did a walk/run Sunday and nothing hurt so who knows what is going on

I'm super impressed you're still running! I try but it just feels uncomfortable in my lower back/pelvic area and I constantly feel I have to pee. I've pretty much switched to walking/hiking and I'm going to try swimming this week.

I've suffered with a lot of dizziness and the one thing my dr always says is take an antihistamine. With our swollen nasal passages and maybe allergies, all that pressure builds on the ears. So I've been taking a Benadryl at night time.

I'm not running a lot, usually just a 5K on Sat and Sun. Too hot during the week after work and I don't want to get up early. I have friends who have run a lot more while pregnant so I'm jealous but I had to take 4.5 months off running due to a stress fracture in my foot so I wasn't able to run until the first Trimester was over so I'm just happy to be able to keep doing it a little
  • @PaigeSF I dealt with that and vertigo my entire 2nd trimester my doctor did some tests and summed it up to poor circulation plus dehydration she has had me on bedrest since 14weeks. I'm 29w now and still on modified bedrest because of it. It has something to do with the increased blood volume and your body not  circulating it as fast there's a little more to it I just can't remember off the top of my head.... I would call your dr because it can be a very serious problem for you and your LO. I waited a week or so until I almost passed out and ended up in the ER. I hope you feel better!

As for my new fun symptoms I got  hemorrhoids! Hoping they don't last the remainder of my pregnancy.

@Muscatmommyof4 my Dr told me I was pretty much guaranteed hemorrhoids at some point because I've been having symptoms of them but dont quite have them (ok that's TMI lol)

Edit: hit send too soon. and bedrest since 14 weeks? wow. you're a trooper
  • I pulled or sprained a rib several weeks ago. Still in horrible pain from it. Luckily seeing a chiropractor has eliminated my sciatic pain.
  • I've had some soreness in my pelvis which has recently resulted in my pelvis "cracking". Much like cracking your knuckles it doesn't hurt, but the sound startles me every time and I expect there to be pain...yay pregnancy!

@kvruns isn't it fun! I hope yours don't last long it's such an uncomfortable feeling along with the other fun pregnancy symptoms....

Edit: my post wasn't showing up
  • I continue with the pelvic pressure and was relieved to find out that I do not have a short cervix at my last ultrasoun. My new symptoms are back pain and light dizziness. I was very active Sunday with errands and cleaning and my back is paying the price. I should have listened to DH when he told me to cool it with the cleaning... But nope I just had to clean the pantry.

  • This could definitely go under the tmi post as well but yes to the hemorrhoids. Or no to the hemorrhoids? I've been having bad number 2 issues, plus doc put me on iron since my count was low at the last appointment. Trying lots of fiber and water, but I miss regular poo!
