This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.

Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this especially long journey we call "infertility".

Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. QOTW - What has been the most surprising/unexpected thing that you learned about pregnancy? If this is not your first pregnancy, how is it different from the previous one/ones?

QOTW - I can't believe how EARLY some symptoms started! My joints aching from being relaxed, headaches, feeling too tight in my clothes, etc. I knew I'd get them, but not that they'd start as early as 6 or 7 weeks! I bought maternity pants at Week 10 and couldn't believe the relief I felt.

My next is appointment is September 8th and it will be my anatomy scan. I can't wait to find out the gender of our Wee one! I decided to take the whole day off of work because the appointment is in the middle of the day and it will just give me a chance to take a rest.

Good morning everyone. 18 weeks this week and I can't believe I'm half way there! Seems to surreal. No appointments for me this week. Anatomy scan is coming up in 2 weeks and I'm so excited. 

QOTW - I'm just surprised at how many different/weird/new things I'm feeling that are all pregnancy related. Every time I have an ache, a twitch, a cramp, etc...I am always told "oh it's normal during pregnancy." I was also surprised at how symptoms changed from week to week so far. First trimester was very exhausting. I could barely walk up the stairs in my own house without feeling winded. As soon as 2nd trimester hit, I had so much more energy all of a sudden. I'm still baffled at all the pregnancy headaches. Never had so many in my entire life! Now I can't wait for the baby to start moving all the time. I think I felt him move last week once, but nothing since. It was an exciting and surprising feeling for sure.

I'll be 21 weeks Wednesday. I'm loving the kicks. That was unexpected but it's so nice. I love having them. :-)
going for regular blood, pee, heartbeat appt this Friday. Lol. Haven't checked up on her in like 6 weeks. And next Monday is the anatomy scan. I'm so excited for that one.

17+4 I have my bi-weekly appointment with MFM this week so excited I get to see her again. I have felt movement every day since Thursday. I am SO looking forward to DH being able to feel it!

QOTW: I have just been surprised about all of the aches and pains that I feel - I have always been really tuned into my body but this is on overdrive. It is hard not to worry! I am also surprised how it already feels uncomfortable to bend over and tie my shoes... I know that is just going to get worse!!

Hi ladies! Just had my 1 hour glucose test this morning. We are a few weeks early for that but the OB wanted to make sure we check early in case we need to do the 3 hour. She's all about being proactive instead of reactive which I can appreciate. I was expecting the drink to be way worse (like the kind when you do a CT scan) but it was just prettty sweet. Other than that not bad) Should hopefully know by Wednesday so praying for good results!

QOTW: I think I'm most surprised with how quickly I get worn out these days. Plus the bending over and trying to get up is definitely getting rough! The silver lining is that at least I can still pick things up off the ground. lol. I am loving feeling him move around more. I'm excited for when DH will get to feel him too.

I'm almost 20 weeks and I can't believe it sometimes I wake up and say am I really pregnant or am I fat lol. I have been feeling flutters lately which is great but I can't wait for the real kicks lol. I also worry everyday if they se ok and wish j could see them every day

Hey ladies! I have officially graduated from the first trimester board!!! EDD is 2/17/17. No appointments this week, but I am waiting to hear from my doctor's office with my genetic testing results. We'll get our gender determination along with it but we won't find out officially until our reveal in 12 days

QOTW: I was surprised at how constant and long the nausea lasted. I still get waves of it, but not nearly as bad. I'm finally starting to feel human again. I no longer go home from work and immediately nap - I'm actually able to be a productive human being!!!! Such a drastic change in the last 1-2 weeks. I can't wait to feel flutters, but I know I have a few weeks for that.

Hi ladies! Week 19 now. We had a pretty big scare over the weekend, we were in the hospital for a couple nights. My doc and nursing staff were just awesome. Luckily everything is now looking okay. We will be going to the doc every other week now for monitoring and will have an u/s every 4 weeks or so. 

Qotw: I never knew that I could feel so much fear and love for this little guy who I have not yet met.

@vssbrm I so glad that everything is okay!! Not sure what happened but you could also ask to be monitored by maternal fetal medicine if you're high risk now.

Hey girls! 25 weeks this week. I have a MFM appt on Thursday for a growth scan. Vacation was nice, but back to reality. Can't believe the 3rd tri & fall is right around the corner... This pregnancy is going by so quickly!

24 weeks this week (yay viability!!) and still so far so good although today I am definitely having an off day and everything just seems to be going wrong...grrrrr. On Monday I went to interview with a pediatrician (which went well!) and DH and I are going to see another one this Friday, not sure if we will interview a 3rd or not. 

QOTW: Most surprising thing for me is so far is how great I feel (not to brag or anything), but everyone tells you how difficult pregnancy is, and maybe in the 3rd trimester I will be eating my words, but so far it's been pretty easy!

Hey everyone! I've been kind of MIA the last few weeks as I've had family in town.
QOTW - The most surprising thing to me is the amount of acne, especially since I now have it on my upper arms, and on my chest. Other than that I'm not really surprised by much as some friends and family told me what to expect.

what feelings in your belly did you guys have around the 19/20 weeks? I'm so paranoid over every twing, pang, stretch, anything. I just want to know what is normal!!!

Hi ladies, I'm 27 weeks. I can't believe my third trimester starts on Saturday. This pregnancy is going by fast, but again I feel like I've been waiting so long for my baby to be born.

The baby movement has been really awesome. I never knew what to expect. I feel like I'm so in love with my baby already. I am also shocked that I haven't gained that much weight. I've only gained about 11 lbs, but I'm sure I will blow up in the third trimester. I was a little worried, but my midwives have assured me the baby is developing on track. 

Anyone else have have a hard time walking up stairs? I have to walk three flights of stairs everyday, sometimes mulitple times, and I absolutely dread it! I get so winded and my thighs feel really heavy. I know it's only going to get worse as I get bigger.

21 weeks here today!! Get to hear heartbeat on Friday. Can't wait. It's been like 5-6 weeks since my last appt. the only thing that has been keeping me sane throughout all of this is feeling the baby move.

@Rachd110 Oh my goodness, yes, I hate stairs now. The gym at work is only up one flight of stairs but I've started taking the elevator up because I just don't want to deal with them. Lol

So my next appointment is tmrw with the OB can't wait to hear there heart beats. The high risk level 2 appointment is on the 31st and I can't wait for that

MFM appt today. Cason is looking good @ 25 weeks, HR= 154bpm, & weighs 1lb 11oz! Won't go back til the end of September. Doc will do a transvag US at that time to check my cervix bc I'll be traveling from NJ to Seattle the first week of October (30 weeks) by myself for work. As long as that's good & no spotting is occurring, my trip will stay on

Going in for a blood and urine test tomorrow and heartbeat check. Can't wait!! It's been so long!!

Bloodwork came back great! I passed the 1 hour glucose test with flying colors! Such a relief to know that I'm doing something right. Not sure if we test again a little later since we tested early but for now I'll take that!

Hey gorgeous ladies ! My last week in second tri before I move on to third . Crazy how time flies !

@vssbrm I'm so sorry about your scare ! How frightening !! I had what felt like contractions during one of my two major bleeding episodes this pregnancy and it was absolutely terrifying . I'm praying for you and your little one that all is ok . 

Im just surprised how quickly second tri has flown ! First was so stressful and beginning of second was scary for me but now I feel like holy crap this baby is coming !!! Hope everyone has a great weekend

@mskeenan Woo! Yay for second trimester! I know how you feel. I'm 18 weeks today and it's like "Whoa, I'm almost halfway there!" How are you feeling?

@dragonfaerie ah that is so exciting you are almost halfway ! When I hit the halfway mark I wanted to have a party , lol . I feel better than I had expected . Some days just really tired but overall pretty good ! I'm just feeling a little anxiety about all the prep before baby comes - classes , nursery , books I want to read ! It's overwhelming !!

@mskeenan yay congrats!! That's so exciting. Another milestone. 

I just came back from my regular ob appt. heard the heart beat again. Aww it's so sweet. Have to schedule the tdap injection now for third trimester. And I ordered my $300 electric breast pump today for free through insurance. So excited. Lol!! Mostly excited because it was free. And I get six free lactation in home visits. So taking advantage of that!! Monday is the anatomy scan.
