Haha I did the same thing while in labor @ihateusernames* , I just tell yelled out "AM I POOPING?!" because I could have sworn I was. Both DH and the nurse insisted I did not poop but I'm still not sure if I believe them.
Does anyone ever have trouble farting? Sometimes I feel gassy pressure that I would like to release, but it doesn't. Maybe I need more fiber? It's really annoying though because it can be uncomfortable, especially when I'm trying to sleep.
As far as farting in front of my DH, I did it on occasion before I was pregnant, but it wasn't a regular occurrence and he is usually pretty considerate about farting around me. But now it happens too regularly for me to hide it. I try to be considerate of course, but sometimes I don't fell like leaving the room and he just deals with it (plus he does it in front of me sometimes so I think it's only fair). Although it took him a while to get used to it since it did not happen very often before I was pregnant.
This was just what I needed on a Monday! When my DH and I first started dating, a few months into the relationship, he starting tickling me. I told him to stop because my stomach hurt, he continued to tickle me just so he could hear me fart. I had never farted in front of any guy I dated, so I was extremely embarrassed when I let it out. There for a while we definitely went toe to toe with the farting. I at some point before we got married 3 years ago decided I was not going to fart in front of him anymore unless I just absolutely was having issues. That all went out the window with my last pregnancy and so far this one too! I blame the baby and he thinks its funny.
@GoldenTMama yes I have had the constipated farts, as I call them lol. I'll literally stop everything I'm doing and try to focus and sometimes they just stay all cooped up. Very annoying
@GoldenTMama@ashannon3490 One thing that helps me when they don't release is to get off the toilet and go onto my hands, kind of like a downward dog. Usually the angle and the relaxation of the area releases it.
@GoldenTMama@ashannon3490 similar to what @nicklesb said, I go into a child pose position, but with my butt higher, not resting on my heels. It works 98% of the time for me!
I held them in for a few months, but as the saying goes "If he can't handle me at my worst, he doesn't deserve me at my best" and dammit sometimes I've gotta fart! I've had a pretty bad cold this week and was lying on the couch this weekend as I blew my nose, I farted. He laughed. He thought it was funny. He still holds his in for the most part, but that's because he's got a serious case of garbage gut. P-U!
