Ok am I the only one who has started thinking of first birthday party ideas? Most of our babies are 6 to 7 months born in the dead of winter. Have you thought of any themes or where your going to hold it.
My goal is to not go to overboard since he won't remember lol but I'm an over preparrer lol
I love his birthday date of 2/1/16 however I'm not a fan of always needing to have his birthday in an indoor setting! I'm all about outdoor parks, free BBQ's, swimming parties! It's going to get expensive always needing an indoor place. With that being said, I'll probably have his 1st birthday at our home, since he won't remember much anyway. I do not want to go overboard, but I do want something special. We all survived our first year (one of the hardest years of parenting I am told) of raising a child, we deserve to celebrate too!
I have never started early on birthdays lol. Carmine will be 1 Febuary 8th. Most likely I will do a party at my house. But I am excited but sad since he's my last baby. My husband and I also planned to take him to Disney. I know my other 3 kids will enjoy that. I haven't thought of a theme. But once January hits I know I'll be scrabbling. Plus my husbands birthday is the 18th and my eldest of 4 will be 8 on the 21st. So it's a busy month.
I have been looking lately too! I plan on just having everyone at our house. It'll be a lot of people and stressful, but it's the only time I'll have everyone over for her birthday so. I think I'm just going to do a color and sparkles. No actual theme, I'll save them for when she gets older. The theme will really be 1!
LO's birthday is March 1st, which is pretty much guaranteed crappy weather around here. (We live in the Netherlands...early March is dark, cold, windy and usually wet.) So while I don't know what we'll do, it will have to be inside!
I also know for sure he will get his first-ever taste of cake on his birthday. I am already thinking about what kind. Probably banana cake with chocolate frosting, so I don't have to use too much sugar.
We will keep the party small, probably for relatives only. Nothing fancy, just cake. It could be at our place...it could be at his grandparents'...or maybe we will all go to an indoor tropical pool. That would be fun!
@robinj716 yea were in NJ my LO is 02/08 so we're pretty much always looking for an indoors place! I would much rather do outdoor party bbq also
I was thinking maybe football themed since his bday is going to fall around the Super Bowl were huge sports ppl. My bf family is huge so something small is completely out of the question.
I too am guilty of a secret first birthday board on Pinterest! We have been thinking about using a local church hall for our lo's 1st. She will turn 1 on the 10th. We both are from larger families and just between grandparents and aunts and uncles ( our siblings) that's 32 people. Our house is just too small for that. I was also thinking about a twinkle little star theme or a Valentine's day theme. I'm super excited to celebrate making it through our first year! I know it isn't something She will remember but there will always be pictures and what little kid doesn't like to hear stories about themselves? Happy planning ladies!
I think we're doing baby Einstein. He LOVES it and super cute. Since my family doesn't like my husband I'm not sure how "big"his party will be and I refuse to do a party without my hubby.so well c how it goes I guess
