Was the chinese predictor chart right?

For those that have found out sex of the baby, was the Chinese predictor chart right? Just curious and thought it would be fun to see.

Yup! It predicted boy and we are having a boy :-)

I'll take the poll once we find out (not until September 9 since I'm due 1/28) but with DD it was right! If it's right again, then we'll be having a boy this time around.

It was right for our first- baby girl! Won't know this time until 9/12.

No for me. Predicted a girl and we're having our 2nd boy! It was correct for our first though

I don't find out until 8/30 (assuming baby cooperates) but it was right with my first so I was curious what others found out. They boast a 90% accuracy rate which I find questionable and so far we are about 50/50 which is what I would expect

Every single old wives tale said I was having a girl... Chinese predictor chart, morning sickness, sweet over salty cravings... I can't remember the other ones, but it was almost funny how many... And of course we're having a boy!

No. It was wrong for both pregnancies. Every single wives tale was wrong both times, except heartbeat. Got lucky on that one! Lol

Right for both my boys. But, there was a study done and it determined it's accuracey is 50/50.

Chinese calendar was right for me but the baking soda test was wrong.

So far we are at 58% Yes, it was right, 41% No, it was not right (clearly there are some rounding issues in the numbers )

With a small n, I am going to say this does not reach statistical significance. However, when everything rounds out, I'll run some stats and see!

There are about 10 different chinese gender charts, maybe we should post one and all use the same? Cause so far I've gotten one to say boy and one to say girl...soooo lol

We won't know until December, but it says boy (which is what I think they are).  However, it was wrong for DS so who knows.

@mommywesley I noticed that too. I thought I got a different reading on the 2 I looked at until I realized I was calculating something wrong on the more complicated one. For the most part though, I keep running in to the one under the tools on the Bump. That may be a good one to use since it's more simple than some of the ones I've seen.

Ok, I did the BUMP one and it was wrong on only 1 of my current 4 boys and says this baby is a boy...sooooo we will see what baby is Thursday It's funny I can check my 4 boys because I used Fertility Friend with all of them lol so I know the conception month on them all

The one on the bump says boy but the other one I've found that converts your age to what it is with the lunar calendar says girl. So we will see finding out at our appt tomorrow hopefully!

@aels12 Not sure why but I feel like the whole lunar calendar conversion one is probably based more on how the Chinese chart was created. Not that it makes it any more accurate, I mean we are using the woman's information to predict something that she has no part in. I'm sure most of them are 50/50 but it's fun to see

We don't know the sex of baby #2 yet, but I put in my information for DD, and it said boy, so wrong for me the first time around. 

It says girl for baby #2, so we'll see!

It was wrong! According to it and the 93% accuracy rate it was supposed to be a girl. Well, there is a little boy growing inside me!

Its been correct for my 4 boys and we will verify with ultrasound next week that it says girl for this baby.  Harmony test said girl but I have the irrational fear thats it's wrong since I have started buying girl stuff.

@Carly79 I agree that it's probably more accurate, it just doesn't seem to be the one that most people use so I don't know which one to go with. Oh well, it has to be one or the other

wrong for both of mine, said boy for my first and she was a girl.  This one it says girl and we are having a boy LOL.

It was correct with my twins but not so much with this one. According to that I'm supposed to be having a girl. We can clearly see on the ultrasound pictures that is incorrect. Fun to look at though.
