How far along are you? Well now I'm 6w6d; Monday was 6w3 days.
How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? So much gas. Even DH was like I don't think it has anything to do with pregnancy because it wasn't this bad last time. Sorry babe, each pregnancy is different. Same: totally craving fruit. Last time it was strawberries, this time it's peaches.
Weekend updates? Will probably go public tomorrow because I'm already wearing maternity clothes with no shame.
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be?
DS would make a great pediatrician. He has such a thing for babies. Based alone on how this pregnancy is going, I'd like this baby to be something really happy, like a kindergarten teacher or a veterinarian.

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? This one waa a little better planned ao I'm not as caught off guard. But I still feel just aa gross.

GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? I think my DS would be a great lawyer- he's so social and charismatic. For baby... idk... maybe a chef so I can eat yummy food all the time without cooking.
How far along are you? I'll be 4 weeks on Saturday
How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? I found out much earlier for this pregnancy, so I can't really compare yet, but I am definitely SOOO much hungrier!
Weekend updates? School started this week! I've officially got a 4th grader, Kindergartner, and Preschooler! I'm especially proud of the preschooler because he is usually super clingy and thought him starting preschool would be a mess. But he loves it!
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? I just want them to have an "easy" life. Meaning they work hard, get a great job that is financially secure, and can just truly enjoy life. Whatever occupation gives them that, I will be happy for them. My oldest was saying last night that he wanted to be a UPS driver because then he can get a breeze through his open door.
But then this morning he said he wanted to go to the military

How far along are you? 7 weeks tomorrow
How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? Different because I found out much sooner this time around, so the symptoms I didn't recognize back then, I do now. Pregnancy rhinitis is no fun, and neither is all this bloating. Just as exhausted this time around.
Updates? I was supposed to have my first doctor's appointment this morning, but there was a mix up at the office so now it won't be until Tuesday afternoon! It's going to be a looonnnnggg weekend, so ready to see the first picture of this new LO.
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? My daughter loves all animals so much, I could definitely see her wanting to become a veterinarian. As far as this new one, maybe he/she will be more artsy like their daddy.

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? I'm feeling symptoms I experienced at the end of my pregnancy now at the beginning. Looking at you, heartburn...
Updates? Told my work wife today! She was the first person I've told outside of DH and DD and it helped it feel a little more real!
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be?
Something that involves connecting with people for DD. She's very sweet & charming and very attuned to what others are feeling. For baby-to-be, a professional golfer! Still a pro athlete with less chance of getting hurt.

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? i have less symptoms this time around..no sore breasts (occasionally pains there) or nausea. I do pee ALOT and I'm exhausted all the time but I also have an 11.5 month old that I'm home with all day!
Week updates: we told our parents & siblings bc mil can't keep mouth shut..other than that just playing with my dd!
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? For my dd I would say dancer bc she LOVES music and is always rocking/swaying/bouncing to the beat! Baby to be...hmm a job traveling the world!
How far along are you? 5 weeks, 5 days
How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? Well, didn't know I was pregnant the 1st time around until about 5 weeks. So many symptoms this time, and all so early. Crazy RLP that I didn't have with DD until the beginning of 2nd tri. sooooooooooo much more tired this time as well. Last time my morning sickness started at 6 weeks on the dot. So, we will see on Saturday. I have some nausea, but definitely nothing even remotely close to last time. Crossing my fingers I skip that this time.
Weekend updates? My parents are coming to town Fri-Sun. I am excited because it should be a really fun weekend. But, I am nervous about keeping this secret from them. I am sooooooo out of it and I know it will be beyond exhausting to act normal all weekend. Tempted to tell them. But, that would ruin the weekend, because they would not be very excited. So, I will keep it in.
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be?
DD is literally the most outgoing person I have ever met, she totally thrives on being around people. So, she would definitely have to be with people. She is so empathetic and caring and is also obsessed with all things medical. So, maybe a nurse sort of job for her. I have no idea foe this next one. Selfishly a cook would be nice or a car mechanic (because car work is expensive). I just want my kids to do what makes them feel happy and fulfilled.

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? The hunger is different! I want to eat everything. Last time I didn't start showing until I was at least 6 months. This time I'm going to be showing much sooner I think. I am starting to have some nausea though.
updates? Still haven't told anyone and we've had to do a lot more lying this time around. It'smy nephew's birthday weekend this weekend and it's going to be hard not to spill the beans. We're trying to wait until after the first u/s on 8/31.
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? DS is already the best negotiator I've ever dealt with (and I am a lawyer), so I think he's going to follow in mommy's footsteps. I hope the new baby is a little more laid back so maybe an artist or musician.

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? Different: No heartburn! And I'm feeling way more exhausted this time around. I do not remember needing to nap like this with DS. The same: Nausea and vomiting. Gross. Loving carbs and sweets!
Weekend updates? We are hanging out with my family all weekend. It's going to be so hard not to tell them. But we are waiting until 8 weeks.
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? DS could be a librarian. He LOVES books. We seriously read all day long (well I do, he's only 15 months). He also loves playing with his golf equipment, so maybe he'll be the next Tiger Woods...As for this baby, I have no idea. Whatever makes my kids happy will make me happy

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? I'm having the same symptoms as last time, just earlier and more intense! I'm having way more food aversions and MS is triggered by movement, not just smells this time around.
Weekend updates? Shared the news with some of the immediate family, so that was exciting!
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? DD loves taking care of others when they are sick or hurt. I could see her working in the medical field. As for this little one..we always joke that we could use a Plummer in the family, LOL!

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? It's running pretty similarly although not as much food aversion as last time. Gotta get myself to stop eating the crap and actually eat some healthy food this coming week (this week was just bad...)
Weekend updates? Counting down the days until DH gets back from his work trip. 2 weeks with just me and the 2 yo is plenty for me. I seriously have started doubting if I can handle 2 kids on my own - I guess you figure it out. But pregnancy exhaustion has been so bad this week - I just want to sleep all the time!
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? I would probably want our DS to go into Finance - something reliable and would provide well for his future family. Maybe this little one can be a doctor? Then in old age we'll be covered by a Dr. and finance professional
But it all honesty, whatever makes them happy...

How is this pregnancy different from your first/others? How is this pregnancy the same? Everything is the same except very little nausea yet.
Weekend updates? Taking my son to see and ride Thomas the Train this weekend at the IL railroad museum. Excited to see his face when he sees him!
GTKY: If you could pick an occupation for each of your children (baby-to-be included) what would it be? Probably an engineer of some sort for DS because he is always turning everything over to see how it works. No idea for the next one, but a doctor in the family would be nice.

How is his pregnancy different from the first? How is this pregnancy the same?: I was verrrrrry nauseous with DD starting around halfway through week 4 through month 3 so I guess we will see soon, hoping to not have to deal with that again!
As for being the same, definitely as thirsty and exhausted as I was this early with DD
Weekend updates: not much planned for this upcoming weekend other than working Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Maybe we will take DD to the duck pond to feed her feathery friends on Saturday morning, she loves that!
GTKY: I feel like DD would make a great nurse. She's always very nurturing and concerned when she thinks someone is upset or hurt!
