I don't see a thread about registries so I thought I'd start a little survey to see what everyone is doing (or planning to do) regarding a baby registry:
Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry:
If yes, what store(s):
Any favorite items on there (special outfit, baby gear you really hope you receive, etc):
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap:
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry:
Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry: Yep! First baby for both of us
If yes, what store(s): Buy Buy Baby, Target, and Babies R Us. We only have a few things at BRU and I was trying to move them all to one of the other 2 so we would just have 2 but it didnt happen. Figure it is ok for completion discount. Technically I also have a private one on Amazon bc they have some good prices and do a 10 or 15% completion discount so I'm going to add our "must haves" to that and then just compare prices when it is time to buy.
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap: Only overlap is our monitor which I keep forgetting to delete from BRU where we originally saw it. BBB has the same item and same price
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry: BBB was the best, although the sample formula can expires 11/1 and I'm due 11/18. Target was pretty good and included a B1G1 Starbucks coupon which is awesome
Anything else you want to add: I was surprised at how tiring it was! We didn't really register for the wedding so this was my first real experience. Not to mention some things we just had no idea what to pick or even what things were despite me bringing a list that had items/brand from doing research and talking to friends.
I've also noticed how some things we registered for are already marked as discontinued; I guess they went on clearance right after we picked them, ugh.
Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry:
yes, already have and still working on them
If yes, what store(s): BRU, Amazon and Target. But Im only telling people about BRU and Amazon.
Any favorite items on there (special outfit, baby gear you really hope you receive, etc): Mamaroo, swaddles, baby food maker, bottles, crib/mattress..everything really haha
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap: I have some of the same items on each registry.
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry: Target had a good swag bag! Not sure about BRU because I made it online & im not sure if I'd still qualify for it?
Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry: yes
If yes, what store(s): Buy Buy Baby and Amazon are the advertised ones, and I also have a Pottery Barn Kids one that only my family knows about so I can get the completion discount (I told my mom if anyone asks she can tell them though)
Any favorite items on there (special outfit, baby gear you really hope you receive, etc): There were 2 adorable hooded towels on my Amazon registry that got purchased yesterday, along with a jellycat pig! I am so excited! Most of the big ticket items have been purchased too which is nice.
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap: No overlap as I don't want to have to return stuff. I researched prices at each and decided based on that (higher price but cheaper with a 20% off coupon meant BBB, others went on Amazon)
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry: I got the BBB swag, it was fine. I honestly don't really remember what was in it. Most of my swag has come from other places (i.e. Motherhood Maternity online orders and baby events)
Anything else you want to add: I didn't put any clothes on my registry because my mom's friends use clothes as baby shower decorations. I have bought some clothes on my own in various sizes and am sure I will continue to do so because they are just so freaking cute! Now I just need to find adult overalls to match the ones I got for LO!

Anything else you want to add:
BRU was the worst bag we received out of the 3. I'd always heard it was good so was a little disappointed but I think we did get a neat bottle in it so that was something.

I just got baby overalls last weekend - sooooo cute! I only put a few sleepers, one outfit and then some larger size onesies on our because I know people will buy clothes but I was hoping if I registered for some things then we would at least get the clothes we want haha.
Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry: Already done, baby shower will be at 31 weeks (5 weeks from now)
If yes, what store(s): BRU
Any favorite items on there (special outfit, baby gear you really hope you receive, etc): I plan on buying anything that doesn't get bought, but I'm actually hoping NOT to receive clothes, I have SO many hand-me-downs, I hope my guests think practically!!
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap: No did not register at multiple stores, we only really have BRU around here
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry: I need to stop going into BRU because I leave with items I should be putting on my registry!! My parents and in-laws are getting mad there's nothing left for them to buy Already bought stroller/travel system, crib & change table and monitor... Anything else you want to add: Thank you Lucie's List/Google for making sure I'm not foolishly scanning

Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry: I have already registered
If yes, what store(s): Target and Amazon - BRU is kind of out of the way for most guests.
Any favorite items on there (special outfit, baby gear you really hope you receive, etc): Nothing that screams at me "must have" but hoping to get the essentials and DH and I will use our completion discounts to purchase whatever is left.
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap: I did, but only the essentials like bottles and different size diapers and play mats - if get multiple it wouldn't hurt because I plan to have double of some items for our house and for mom since she will be taking care of my LO when I start working again... I know people will gift diapers regardless but it doesn't hurt to put them on the registry.
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry: Not really, just the standard welcome package from Target. I can't get myself to buy anything yet.
Anything else you want to add: I was overwhelmed creating the registry but my sister provided guidance. I did not feel the need to register for clothes because my family is big on gifting lots of clothes.. I am having the first boy and I know several of our siblings have already been purchasing clothes. I have no idea when my BB Shower will be because it requires coordination and travel for one of my sisters.... that is stressing me out.
Have you registered/are you planning to create a registry: Yes
If yes, what store(s): Amazon and Target
Any favorite items on there (special outfit, baby gear you really hope you receive, etc): I really hope I get our pack n play and the Snugga Puppy crib and/or bouncer. Would be nice if we get our travel system too.
Did you register for the same items at multiple stores or did you avoid overlap: a few overlap just so people had options where to buy. I totally registry stalked so if I noticed a double item was purchased I deleted it from the other.
Any good swag from stores after completing the registry: Both Amazon and Target had good swag, cannot complain for free stuff! Amazon had a lot of extra perks like a free gift when you bought $50 off your registry (it was cute toy) and I got a discount on buying maternity clothes and got a free ebook so far. I heard rumors Amazon will also have a 20% off registry purchase in addition to the 15% completion discount.
Anything else you want to add: I had fun registering, but man there was a lot of stuff. Thank goodness for friends and recommendations because I would have no clue on what to register for! My shower is tomorrow so I am trying not to look at the registries so I am somewhat surprised. Stuff has been getting sent to my mom's house and she is not good at keeping secrets, lol.

Target has an outfit that we both really liked https://www.target.com/p/just-one-you-made-by-carter-s-baby-boys-3-piece-striped-bodysuit-set-blue/-/A-46773887
And then I hope we get the month/week blocks from BBB https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/product/pearhead-3-piece-milestone-block-set-in-blue/1043436026?Keyword=baby+month+blocks
