Also, I think sometimes "the more they look the more they find" can make a momma a little neurotic. I never had any of these extra tests w my other kids and comparatively the third tri was much less worrisome for me. It's good Drs have all the tests and scans, etc but sometimes I think it leads us to worry when things are outside of our control like this.
So I can relate but I'm not on the small side. I am 5'8 and my DH is 6'2 and baby has been on the small side since we started this journey.....I've gained almost no weight and I'm not saying this to "brag" but it's been an area of concern because I'm not gaining much at all. The dr has told me I can eat- and I do eat- but I'm not gaining anything. We did an extra ultrasound at 32 weeks and 37 weeks because I am measuring small and they are estimating that baby is in the 30th percentile for where we are in the gestation period. They said if I were 10% or less they'd be more concerned.....Well the dr we saw yesterday because my dr was on vacation mentioned another ultrasound @ the 40 week mark.....My dr when she checked me at 35 weeks said that I was at a -1 for the stage/ where baby is located and she also said that probably has a lot to do with why I'm measuring so small, because the baby is sitting lower in my pelvis. So I will be curious to see what my dr has to say next week when we see her.
I would not feel bad- especially if there are issues- bottom line is happy and healthy momma and baby!! and like everyone else has said- you have made it this far- which is almost to the finish line!! So good job on making this much progress!
