I see the midwife for the first time tomorrow!!! Yay
I'm actually starting to lose the MS. I don't want to speak too soon but I've been feeling much better.
Ive been taking magnesium supplements and b6 and maybe that's helped me? I've also been making sure to take my vitamins and... Fish oils! Lol I've been keeping them down with crackers. So I think these things are helping also maybe it's just because I'm 10 weeks now
I'm all about the bread products lately. Before this pregnancy I almost never ate grains or dairy but now... BAGELS ALL THE TIME. Cream cheese on them too. It probably explains why I always have the toots
Upcoming appointments this week: No and it's killing me. I have another week and a half.
Any new symptoms or changes: Super sick still. Marking my pregnancy territory all over town. Starting to feel slightly better the last couple days but I'm looking for a big improvement soon.
Rants/Raves: The sickness for this long really hit me the other day and i started to feel depressed. I'm just not myself and I'm sick of not being able to get anything done.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Peaches lately. Got on a kick, not sure why.
Rant: Went to the aquarium on Saturday, it was soo crowded like people breathing down your neck, full capacity crowded, now I have a sore throat and cold which I am pretty sure was due to one of those many people I was in way too close proximity to on Saturday. GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks: it changes, I have been enjoying little cheese snacks, yesterday ate some grapes. Been craving fried chicken forever
How far along are you: 10 weeks - double digits! woo hoo!
How big is baby: Strawberry, prune, Snitch from Harry Potter, cotton ball, & poker chip.
Upcoming appointments this week: I have an appointment for my first round of blood work tomorrow. I heard they take a lot of blood. I have an issue with my veins being farther down....sometimes it takes a while for the techs to find them...so I'm nervous.
Any new symptoms or changes: I really don't think I have any new symptoms. Still tired, but it's getting better. Still bloated. I'm starting to feel soreness on the side of the stomach our LO is located. It's not cramping or anything I feel like I should be alarmed with, but more of a tension type of soreness....almost like I did too many crunches.
Rants/Raves: Rant: Why do I have to do the work that my co-worker didn't do before she went on vacation? No one does my work when I'm on vacation. Now this is the 3rd thing I'm asked to do for her while she's gone. MUST BE NICE! Rave: My family is incredible. My sister and mom both know about our LO since we were on vacation together when I got the BFP, and they both called last night to say hi and see how I'm doing. I can't wait to visit next weekend! I miss having them close during this time.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Cheetos Puffys, Cereal, and right now I really want a donut...not from Dunkin Donuts, but from a bakery or Fractured Prune. And, I'm trying to eat more fruit in the afternoon...so far it's been strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pears, and apples.
Upcoming appointments this week: sonogram tomorrow morning...first at OB so I'm looking forward to seeing how our LO has grown!
Any new symptoms or changes: MS is starting to dissipate (knock on wood). I had about 5 days of no nausea and actually had my appetite back, but not sure if that's from diclegis, the fact that I was on vacation with my best friends at my favorite place, or I'm actually turning a corner.
Rants/Raves: As I said before, I just got back from a friendscation in Outer Banks and it was absolutely amazing. I didn't even mind being the only sober one! We went with 3 of my best friends and their husbands, and it was perfect! Now I'm back in the office (boo) but at least I have my sono tomorrow to look forward to! (And it's my first abdominal one instead of internal so that will be exciting!)
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Rosemary triscuits and cream cheese, apples with sharp cheddar cheese, plums, peaches, pretty much any fruit.

Upcoming appointments this week: 1st OB appointment on the 23rd, and I can't wait!
Any new symptoms or changes: I'm finally starting to feel a little better from all the fatigue, nausea, and food aversions, but I'm sure they're not gone for good. The symptoms this pregnancy though have been far worse than either of my two previous!
Rants/Raves: I'm really tired of the cycle of nausea/food aversion/starving. I can be feeling like I might be sick but knowing I should eat something to try to help that and then suddenly I'm so hungry that I can't shove food in my mouth fast enough.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? All fruit. Right now, it doesn't matter what kind it is, but if it's a fruit in season, I want it.
@ihateusernames* omg pickle juice 24/7. That is life right now. Not gonna lie pickle juice on a bagel sounds gross but I would try it at this point. LOL
I know this is off topic but is your little ticker signature that says what week your on supposed to change on its own? Mine still says 9 weeks, and im 10 now.
Upcoming appointments this week: Not until Sept 1 grr.
Any new symptoms or changes: Acne is out of control around my chin and left side of my mouth. I'm absolutely exhausted and the nausea will not let up. I literally puked a little on the stairs while carrying DS down this morning because it came out of nowhere and I had no time to react!!
Rants/Raves: Rant: My sister is a junior in HS and Sometimes watches DS. Had a great day yesterday until we got back to my dads house so I could drop her off and she had my son on the couch - stopped paying attention and he smashed his head into the coffee table when he tried to stand up on the couch!!! It was awful and I didn't breathe for 10 minutes. Took me the entire night to recover from that!!!
Rave: Said sisters who babysit fo free cuz babysitters are expensive yo.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Tortilla chips with melti-Mexi dip!
@jadkins17 The thought of pickle juice makes me want to vom. You are a hardcore human being drinking that!
How far along are you: 11 weeks
How big is baby: A lime or bee hummingbird
Upcoming appointments this week: This is the first week I don't have any appointments since being released from the RE. My next appointment isn't until September 9th. I'm so thankful I bit the bullet and purchased a doppler last night to help keep the crazies at bay in between appointments.
Any new symptoms or changes: My boobs look fantastic. I've always been part of the itty bitty titty committee and I'm now rocking a solid B cup. DH and I are both equally excited.
Rants/Raves: HOW IS IT ONLY WEDNESDAY?!
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? All the carbs. I seriously cannot stop eating bagels and sandwiches!
How big is baby: a lime, a bee hummingbird, or a fig
Upcoming appointments this week: none until next Wednesday for my 12 week stuff
Any new symptoms or changes: Feeling better, less nausea, hungrier, still exhausted though
Rants/Raves: The past couple days I've had a lot of anxiety that I've had a tough time dealing with. I'm going to try getting back into exercise and see if that helps, now that I'm feeling better. I know I'll feel better after I have the results from my 12 week scan and blood test (won't have that until 9/2 though). And oddly I'll feel better when I can tell my boss. I'm planning to tell him the first week in September. I got a little bump/blump now (I'm sure not noticeable to anyone but me!) and it's a little weird trying to hide it.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Watermelon and grapes for fruits, Honey Nut Cheerios, ice cream! Nom nom nom
Upcoming appointments this week: I go to lady to my last appt at my RE. Get to have another u/s so I'm pumped!
Any new symptoms or changes: went off all hormone meds last week and have felt better- still have 4-8pm blahs.
Rants/Raves: I want to eat something of substance! I'm tired of cheese sandwiches and soup and junk! I have no motivation to cook at all either so my husband has been destroying kitchen each night trying to make himself something.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks I love Ben and Jerry's half baked at night before I go to bed! Yum!
Upcoming appointments this week: this friday! ahhhh! i'm so anxious for it and really hoping everything is OK. this should be my last RE appt. before i can move onto a regular OB or midwife. Any new symptoms or changes: nausea and sensitivity to smells and certain food comes and goes, but these last two days i've felt great. when i'm not feeling icky i'm just HUNGRY.
Rants/Raves: nope, just super excited/anxious for my appt. on friday
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? cottage cheese, honey nut cheerios and/or regular cheerios, pizza rolls...that's about it.
@ihateusernames* Good luck at your
appointment tomorrow! Also, I’m glad your MS is subsiding!
@jadkins17 I feel your pain with the
acne. It definitely sucks! Sorry.
@howdthathappen Sorry you are still feeling
super sick. Hopefully the last couple of days are a sign your MS is starting to
improve!
@disneybaby84 Sorry you are sick! It’s
awful when you are stuck in close quarters with someone who is clearly sick and
then they are breathing/coughing in your space. UGH! That is something I am not
looking forward to during winter months –flu season. Also, I like your snacking
style! I love cheese and fried chicken. Though, I’ve always loved them, so I
can’t blame that on pregnancy lol.
@mecoats I like your snitch reference
for the size of baby. Too cute! Good luck at your appointment tomorrow. I had
my first round of blood work last week –just the regular pregnancy
screenings/panels they run. I think they took 3 or so vials of blood (though
they weren’t completely full). I have difficult veins as well (mine are rolly
polly veins), so I understand the anxiety that can come with blood draws. I
HATE the sensation of a needle in my vein to begin with (which I was actually
told by a lab person that you feel this if the lab person is being slow in
putting the needle in –which they always are if your veins don’t cooperate, so
you know…), but then having to potentially be poked multiple times before the
can get what they need –not a pleasant experience. Hopefully your appointment will
go smoothly tomorrow and they get what they need the first time!
@msirni0 Good luck at your appointment
tomorrow! Also, whether it’s the diclegis or you’re turning a corner, I hope
your nausea stays away for good.
@knirish1 Good luck at your first
appointment on the 23rd! I know its super exciting!
@Jparisi926 Sorry you are having such
a MS problem! That is awful. Also, I’m sorry to hear your son hit his head. I
hope he is okay.
@EALasagna I just got my Doppler on
Monday. What type did you purchase? I hope you have good luck with it. My lo is
hard to find. Also, carbs for the win! With cheese on top.
@SandwichLover You have me wanting a
bowl of honey nut cheerios! Glad your nausea is subsiding. Hopefully it goes
away for good and you get some energy back.
@lindsey2017 Good luck at your
appointment! I’m jealous you get another ultrasound. I’ve bought a Doppler to
tide me over to my next appointment, and have been trying to use it but lo is
hiding (or I’m just terrible at using it lol).
@sammajane19 Good luck at your
appointment on Friday! Hope everything goes great.
How far along are you: 10 weeks
How big is baby: The size of a strawberry
Upcoming appointments this week: None this week. My next
appointment is Sept 6th.
Any new symptoms or changes: I’ve started
breaking out. I have four places on my face that decided to pop up in the last
few days. Aren’t you supposed to look radiant and glowing during pregnancy?! A
broken out, oily face =/= Radiant and glowing
Rants/Raves: So DH and I have officially started
the day care search. We live in a small city/large town. Not some booming
metropolis area. The first place we called had a TWO YEAR waiting list!! WTH?!!
So now, I’ve made a huge list of places I’m contacting, asking about their
waiting list. I wouldn’t have expected this where I live. It’s just insane.
Hoping I can get a spot somewhere decent.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? I haven’t really had
any pregnancy cravings or anything. My snacks are pretty much what I’ve always
snacked on and loved. When I’m feeling super indulgent, I look for something
like mac and cheese or a good dessert (usually of the chocolate variety). I
have wanted some good Chinese food recently, but that’s normal for me.

@BelcherEars thanks for the comment. Certainly no fun feeling rundown. Good luck on the daycare search, you're starting to make me wonder what my choices are in my local area. Thanks for being so sweet and offering so many words of encouragement to everyone!
Upcoming appointments this week: I had a spotting scare on Monday (isolated incident) and had an US and blood Monday. All appeared well. I go again tomorrow morning for my regularly scheduled weekly appointment with the RE.
Any new symptoms or changes: As mentioned above a small spotting incident Monday that hasn't recurred. Other than that feeling pretty much the same. Indigestion, some fatigue, sore boobs, bloated.
Rants/Raves: Nothing really today. I'm so tired of work. I am in no mood to do anything & haven't been productive today because of too many meetings.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? I am loving nectarines!! They are so good right now.
@BelcherEars Thank you! I just got a call from my dr. They might not be doing the blood work tomorrow, because my stupid insurance requires pre cert for them to do the blood work and that takes 2 days to turn around. So, now I just have a regular checkup. Blood work will probably happen sometime next week I guess.
@ihateusernames* Woohoo! Good luck at your first appointment tomorrow! Glad you're feeling better.
@jadkins17 I feel your pain. I'm not sure if it's baby-related or changes in my make-up routine, but I look like a mess these days.
@howdthathappen Creepy internet hugs. I hope you start feeling better soon. I had a similar sort of depression/malaise after weeks of MS. @disneybaby84 Feel better soon! Sick and pregnant is the worst combo. @mecoats Throat punch from me to your co-worker, but I'm glad your family is so awesome! Enjoy your family time!
@msirni0 Good luck with your sono tomorrow, how exciting!
@knirish1 I'm struggling with food right now as well. It seems ridiculous that pregnancy should come with food aversion. Not cool, Mother Nature.
@Jparisi926 I'm assuming you have a toddler on your hands? Solidarity. My kids have given me so many potential injury-related freak-outs...
@EALasagna45 Congratulations on the excellent pregnancy boobs!
@SandwichLover FX your anxiety gets easier as time goes on.
@lindsey2017 Glad you're feeling better after going off hormone meds!
@sammajane19 Good luck at your appointment Friday! Almost there!
@BelcherEars Child care anything is the worst. I'm a SAHM so we don't deal with day care per se, but I've been wanting my daughter to get into preschool. With money being tight and deadlines coming up and the million other considerations though, I kinda just want to throw my hands in the air and wait until she goes to kindergarten next year.
@MrsBinPA I'm glad the spotting ended up being nothing more than a scare! FX that everything is smooth from here on out.
How far along are you: 12 weeks!
How big is baby: Baby is the size of a plum, or a Roborovski hamster according to Ovia.
Upcoming appointments this week: I had one today, first doctor appointment. It took the nurse a while to find the heartbeat, so I was on pins and needles for what felt like forever, but she finally got one at a healthy 156. Doctor also thought ute placement seemed perfectly on track for 12 weeks, so I feel like I can finally breathe a little.
Any new symptoms or changes: Not really. Starting to feel better!
Rants/Raves: I had an issue with pre-eclampsia/HELLP in my first pregnancy. My practice (different from the one I'm seeing now) had me see an MFM specialist for my second pregnancy, and she suggested that I take baby aspirin once per day between 12 and 36 weeks because there was some evidence that it could decrease risk (and I ended up delivering just fine at 40w2d). Asked my doctor this time (third pregnancy, new practice) if I should keep up with that practice of taking baby aspirin and she said she didn't see the point. She figures that if I made it all the way to 40w2d last time, that's too good of an outcome to attribute to the aspirin. I dunno though, I'm tempted to take them anyway since the risk is so minimal and the research is out there. Not to mention it eased my panic to feel like I was actively "doing" something to help prevent a condition that there is no control over.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? I've had chips and homemade salsa the past couple of days. That's been pretty great!
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
@MrsBinPA sorry you had a scare on Monday. Glad the spotting stopped! Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.
@Bluebird2318 glad your appointment went well today and you heard your lo's heart beat! Also, I hope you turn a corner on the preschool search!
@lindsey2017 I got a Sonoline B for $36 online. Works well (IMO). There was a recent thread about dopplers, and Sonoline B seemed to be the popular choice on our BMB.

I found a great way to peel my peaches without wasting any peach. Do you eat the fuzz?
Oh my gosh, please share!!!
@jadkins17 the zits are terrible over here too! Ugh. I never even had it that much in my teen years....
@SandwichLover and Cheerios are now on tomorrow's grocery list
@MrsBinPA spotting sucks. Had some last week myself. Hoping all continues to go well for you!
@Bluebird2318 I had hypertension with my last pregnancy too. Need to remember to mention the aspirin to my midwife in 2 weeks. I want to badly to avoid going on meds this time!!!
How far along are you: 8 weeks
How big is baby: raspberry
Upcoming appointments this week: had a family doc pre natal appointment today. She explained that they found the reason for my spotting on my ultrasound. A small spot where the placenta had "pulled up". But she said its all fine now I guess.
Any new symptoms or changes: have a cold on top of the nausea, exhaustion and headaches, and it completely knocked me off my feet all day yesterday. The nausea was better today and I got much more done.
Rants/Raves: Transferring to a midwife in 2 weeks and that means I get to deliver in a BRAND new hospital in our area. Very excited.
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Right now: salt and vinegar popcorn. Typical day: anything carb related and fruit.
How big is baby: Olives or Cherries or Eastern tailed blue butterflies
Upcoming appointments this week: My first appointment was Monday, when we found out we're having TWINS. Fingers crossed for all of the ladies with appointments this week! I'm super excited to see the beginning of March mamas already at 11 & 12 weeks!
Any new symptoms or changes: ***TMI Warning*** At work today I dry heaved until I got a nose bleed and then dry heaved more because of the nose bleed. I'm hoping to turn the corner on this "morning sickness" soon ***/end TMI*** This is my 6th week of nausea and 3rd week of active morning sickness. BUT I still feel thankful for the morning sickness because it is good reassurance that the hormone levels are good and that the babies are cooking.
Rants/Raves: I have given up on wearing regular pants. I was trying my hardest to hold off until when folks normally start to show, but 1) I gained 5-10 lbs in the months leading up to getting pregnant so my pants were already kind of tight 2) I'm already starting to show at 9 weeks because of the twins 3) the end of day bloat is no joke. I'm looking 4-5 months pregnant. HOW THE HECK DO PEOPLE HIDE THEIR PREGNANCIES UNTIL THE SECOND TRI?
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? Black olives, pretzels, or baked cheetos.
@julievdm12 okay so I soak a refrigerated peach in very warm water for about 3 mins. Then cut a tiny pinch off and the rest just peels evenly and you keep your whole peach!!! I was super excited to discover this last week that I ate about 4 a night!
Ps, you guys that reply to everyone's post are AMAZING! I love that, it's so thoughtful I am going to try to be more like you guys
upcoming appointments this week: just had first one Tuesday ; saw the baby and heard heartbeat! Doc said he saw a Small SCH... Going back in 3 weeks to monitor. i haven't had any bleeding or symptoms so I'm trying not to freak out...
Symptoms/changes: acne, huge sore boobs (they were already big so I'm not excited about this) and fatigue. No MS with this one either (didn't get it with my first ) so I won't complain much about my symptoms. I feel bad for everyone going through misery with this. Hope y'all feel better soon.
rants/raves: my combo belly + bloat is out of control. 2nd pregnancy but still. I'm in a wedding this weekend and it would be great if i could fit into my dress properly
Any new symptoms or changes: neseau mixed with feeling good, then right back to neseau. Oh, and I'm now crying over totally ridiculous things.
Rants/Raves: I had a work trip I survived this week
GTKY: Favorite pregnancy snacks? I'm obsessed with lime-aid, and lime popsicles. My cravings are the real deal, if I think about eating it, I NEED to eat it. I haven't wanted anything out of the ordinary. But I had a dream that the girls at work left my pickle jar out of the fridge and they were ruined.
@BelcherEars I went with the Sonoline B as well thanks to the suggestions from this board. ETA is Saturday so I'm excited! Question for you, I saw that you found your LO's heartbeat the other day. Did it take a while to find it?
@julievdm12 okay so I soak a refrigerated peach in very warm water for about 3 mins. Then cut a tiny pinch off and the rest just peels evenly and you keep your whole peach!!! I was super excited to discover this last week that I ate about 4 a night!

I feel like this change my peach game forever! So excited to try this! Thanks !!!
@EALasagna45 I had to try two different times that evening. The first time, I searched for 15-20 minutes and didn't find it. I waited about 5 or so hours and tried again. The second time I tried, I found it after about 10 minutes. The next night, I couldn't find it after about 10 minutes of searching. Haven't tried it again. It is on my agenda to try this evening. I've heard some people can find it super early and others have a hard time until after the baby moves out from behind the pelvic bone. This is my first, so that might play a factor in being able to locate it. IDK. I am also very particular about what I am listening for. There was a good tutorial from BabyBeat on youtube (search: BabyBeat - Fetal Heart Sounds Using the Doppler) that tells you about the different sounds and what they are. I found it really helpful.

Right now: salt and vinegar popcorn.
Typical day: anything carb related and fruit.
Ps, you guys that reply to everyone's post are AMAZING! I love that, it's so thoughtful
I am going to try to be more like you guys
Omg Twins!!! Double congratulations to you @direwolfmini
How big is baby: raspberry
upcoming appointments this week: just had first one Tuesday ; saw the baby and heard heartbeat!
@betsy538 I love that you're craving lime stuff when you're baby is lime sized....
