    For babies due 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27

How many weeks? 35!!! I never thought I'd see this day!

    What size? A pineapple

Upcoming appointments? 36 week appointment on Monday - feeling optimistic I'll make it :)

Rants/Raves/Questions? It's been weird how "normal" I've felt the past week.  I think the anxiety of making it past the time with my first is obviously gone and now I can kind of just relax a little bit? I have quite a bit to get done at work but I feel now like I'll be able to get it done because I'll actually get to go (go back next Monday)

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Craving mostly sweet stuff - have no desire for hot food right now but I'm sure that's related to not feeling like cooking and the insane heat we've been dealing with...which as long as I'm in AC I'm fine.

GTKY: What are you currently reading/watching that you just can't get enough of? (Or any other activity if reading or watching doesn't apply  )  I just started watching Call the Midwives. It's so good! I'm excited there's already 4 seasons available to watch...I hate when I get into something that only has one season and then have to wait forever to be able to watch it again.

  • How many weeks? 36 weeks!

What size? A chihuahua. I was excited to tell DH this one- his favorite dog growing up was a chihuahua.

Upcoming appointments? NST and 36 week appt on Thursday.

Rants/Raves/Questions? It's raining again today! (Day 4 of rain.) And according to the forecast the end isn't in sight until next Monday! I want to go outside, and even more than that I *need* McKenna and the dog to be able to go outside. It's been rough being stuck inside all day. Also, we had plans for our last zoo trip as the 3 of us on Saturday and my brother and SIL invited us over on Sunday for a cookout. I want to do those things, and don't want them rained out!

    Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still all the usual.

GTKY: What are you currently reading/watching that you just can't get enough of? (Or any other activity if reading or watching doesn't apply  )

I'm so boring! I'm not reading or watching anything, and other than getting on TB, I can't think of anything I do frequently.

  • @camichael84 I feel your pain on being stuck inside.  It's not raining here but we've been in a severe heat advisory for almost a week now so it's not safe for us to be outside playing.  It's certainly rough with a toddler who needs to get out bundles of energy.

  • I don't think I've done a check in since 2nd tri, but figured I'd get a few in before the rest of you have your babies!

@AnnaS930 - we've also been watching The Night Of. Although I'm pretty sensitive to watching violence and drug use and other yucky stuff so half the time I just listen from the bedroom while DH watches I the living room ;)

    How many weeks? 34

    What size? Butternut squash

Upcoming appointments? 34 week appt. tomorrow. I'm hoping to get a date for scheduled cs

Rants/Raves/Questions? I know it's summer and supposed to be hot, but I live in Portland so any time it goes above 90 (expected later this week) I get grumpy. I didn't move here for hot weather.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm feeling more emotional than normal. Started crying yesterday thinking about how grateful I am for everything in my life. When i feel grateful it's usually followed by fear of losing part of what I'm grateful for :( I just finished a week of an insane craving for Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

GTKY: What are you currently reading/watching that you just can't get enough of? (Or any other activity if reading or watching doesn't apply  )

I love watching all the tiny house shows. It makes my under 1k square foot house seem ridiculous.
Sad, but I've mostly reading and watching online stuff about cloth diapers. Lately, I'm super curious about wool covers.
  • @BernieRae I live near the other Portland.. in Maine.. and I feel the same way about the heat. I don't live in New England for 90+ degree temps and wild humidity. nope nope nope. Come on Fall!

Also LOVE Tiny House Nation.. not as wild about the "hunting" versions, I really prefer to see the houses built. I have a dream of owning a Tiny Camp on a lake someday.. could never do it as my main house.. ours is around 2300 sqft. and I'd consider an addition if it was in the budget.. hahaha

  • @BernieRae  Cloth addiction is real! I have one wool cover that I've never actually used.  It just seems so heavy to me.  Most of my stash is waterproof anyway so there's not really a need to use the wool, although I do have several twinkie tush diapers which are not waterproof (you're welcome and sorry at the same time if you are unfamiliar with twinkie tush ;) )

  • Stuck in the box!

How many weeks? 34! I'm pretty pumped to have made it this far with mono di twins.

What size? Basketball hoop, quokka, probs some kind of squash

Upcoming appointments? Growth scan and bpp on Thursday.  Luckily my ob is letting me do that and skip the NST that day.

Rants/Raves/Questions?  My husband is driving me effing insane.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still can't eat as much as I would like, lots of heartburn, pelvic pain, hip pain, sleeping like crap.  A little bit of everything!

GTKY: What are you currently reading/watching that you just can't get enough of? (Or any other activity if reading or watching doesn't apply :) )
not much. My son doesn't go to bed until late so I don't have much down time.

    ***********************************************************************************************
    #1 born 8/21/14, #2 & 3 (identical) due 9/27/16

  • @BernieRae and @diagonalley I haven't tried woolies either. It's the cost that prohibits me, but I'm really intrigued. I keep looking in my local FB swap to find a cheap one to try. Or maybe when LO outgrows her newborn stash I can find somebody to trade with.
  • How many weeks? 37!

    What size? Romaine Lettuce

Upcoming appts? 37 week appt on Thursday. I'm excited because my regular OB is squeezing me in.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm just in pain and miserable. Any small task seems like a giant undertaking. If I thought the baby was low before, it's really low now. The pelvic pain is insane. I need to get to the grocery store but the little bit of walking is overwhelming to me, especially with two kids in tow. I might try to go on my own once my husband gets home tonight.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions: I really wish I had some good cravings. Basically everything I think I want to eat disappoints me.

GTKY: What are you currently watching/reading that you just can't get enough of? RHONY and Odd Mom Out on Bravo. I'm also watching Married at First Sight. Reality tv is my thing.

    How many weeks? 36

    What size? Papaya

Upcoming appts? 37 week appt next Wednesday. I just had my 36 yesterday

Rants/Raves/Questions: Nothing I can think of

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions: Craving citrus fruit and grapes. And also sugary things like ice cream, candy, etc. Symptoms wise, SI joint pain and some pretty painful cramps/contractions/BHs? when walking my dog

GTKY: What are you currently watching/reading that you just can't get enough of? Re-watching Seinfeld. Hilarious!

  • @AnnaS930 - Even though the show sometimes  features families, I just can't see how a tiny house works for more than 2 people. I'd love to see an update a year or two down the line. I'm just fascinated by being able to live without so much stuff. It's a struggle.  A tiny vacation home would be awesome! I'd love to have a tiny guest house in our backyard. DH was pushing to build one, but we'd have to rent it out full time for at least 5 years to pay for it. I wasn't into having tenants in the backyard and thankfully got pregnant in time for him to put that idea on the back burner.
  • @diagonalley @jensou

I was thinking about wool over a prefold or fitted  just for nighttime. I think I'd only need 2 in each size since they can be used many times before washing.  It just takes more than one day to air dry when washed. What do you guys use overnight?

well now I'll have to check out Twinkie tush! I'm currently thinking clotheze prefolds with blueberry capri, thirsties, or flip covers. I have some to try out and then we'll decided. Who knows, we might end up hating the whole thing and using disposables...
  • @jensou - just reading the out of town visitor thread and sounds like you're having your baby today?! Hoping all goes smoothly for you!

For the first year or so we were able to get away with our regular cloth for overnights (but usually that involved a change in the motn because he definitely didn't sttn) Now we use the honest night time diapers, so disposables. I found a lot of the night time options were quite bulky so decided to go that route.

  • For babies due 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27

    How many weeks? 34

What size? large bag of potato chips or less desirable, cabbage

    Upcoming appointments? Thursday

Rants/Raves/Questions? Wondering how long babies typically stay in size 1 and size 2 diapers. We were gifted a ton and I'm hoping I can use them all. I probably have close to 1000 diapers in each of those sizes, no joke

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm in pain, everywhere and having what I think are occasional contractions (or maybe BH but these hurt). So ready for the next 6 weeks to pass so I can meet this little boy

GTKY: What are you currently reading/watching that you just can't get enough of? (Or any other activity if reading or watching doesn't apply  ) I wish I had the time. We've been working overtime for the better part of two months, so I haven't had much in the way of free time. I really want to read The Girl on the Train though.
  • How many weeks? 35.

What size? B I G. I'm actually curious how much she weighs now. Last weigh in she was 5lbs, that was nearly four weeks ago now. I wish they would check, but I don't get any more ultrasounds.

Upcoming appointments? More NSTs, weekly clinicals start after next week. I'll be at the hospital three times a week. Shoot me.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Is it weird that I'm scared I'm going to "miss" labor? Like, my biggest fear right now is I'll go into labor and not realize it until it's too late to get to the hospital. I keep looking up what contractions are supposed to feel like because I still haven't felt any. I'm also scared I'm going to go into labor at work, because I work night shift alone.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm so tired. Every time I lie down to go to bed for the day she decides to headbutt my cervix/bladder for about 30 minutes. It hurts and it makes me feel like I need to pee.

GTKY: What are you currently reading/watching that you just can't get enough of? (Or any other activity if reading or watching doesn't apply  ) I've been playing Stardew Valley for at least an hour every day as a way to relax and wind down before work. It's pretty addictive.

@jln27 I am also scared I'm going to miss labour! I know everyone says "you'll know when you know" but I'm worried I won't know I'm having contractions because I have no clue what they feel like!

  • @thscary It totally depends on the kid how long they're in each size, but BabiesRUs will let you exchange sizes (apparently even if half the box is used) so when you need the next size you should be able to do that.

  • Congrats, @jensou! Victoria is adorable! At 6lbs you'll likely get some good use out of your newborn stuff. I'm curious how big my baby will be and as long as everything continues as planned (I hope), I won't be getting a growth scan.

  • @jensou My whole newborn stash is blueberry simplex. They lasted til DS1 was 15.5 pounds when he outgrew them by length :)

  • @diagonalley I'll look Those blueberry simplex up. Thanks for info

    thanks, all! Enjoying every second
  • @jensou I've attached a pic of my stash. It is slightly modified with two differences now, but otherwise this is pretty much it!
