@kswiger06 oh, people have offered. I have just never been interested. I find it way too intimate a thing to do. And, also, I'm pretty excited that the first baby kick I'll ever feel will be my own.
@silvercamaro77 I think asking someone's weight is just socially awkward. It's not that my weight bothers me per se, but I would never think to ask that of someone. It's none of my business.
This is going to sound so weird but my husband is touchy and affectionate but also so in love with kids that he is constantly rubbing my sisters and sister in laws pregnant bellies. He even talks to them. They are 3rd trimester and I don't know if they hate it or not but they tolerate it at least.
I'm not sure how I will feel about getting my belly touched. I'm self conscious about people feeling primarily chub thats for sure. I think I'll be way more ok with that than touching my actual kid though. That will drive me nuts. Its ironic bc my husband wants to touch everyone's kids too. Like strangers! He's from Europe where he regularly picks up random strange children. I had to put the fear of god in him here that you do NOT touch little kids!
I'm having a bad day. This morning I woke up and the first thought that ran through my mind was "oh my gosh I haven't seen courage (our cat) in days". Searched the house, nowhere to be seen. Posted on next door and lost and found Facebook groups and got lots of sightings from neighbors but he's still missing. I left work early because of a headache and our neighbor texted me just as I pulled up that she saw him on another neighbors deck. I ran through our slopey backyard and the next door neighbor had her sprinkler going. Sure enough. Slipped, fell, covered myself in mud and cut my hand and arm up and still no cat

@aww@peachesnbean that's super crummy!! I got so upset when one of our cats got out that my husband called off from work. I hope you are able to catch your cat. The mud sucks too, I hope you didn't get banged up too bad. Let us know if you catch the little guy.
@peachesnbean I hope your kitty comes home soon! Here's hoping the sprinkler just spooked it a little and it'll come sauntering back like it was never a big deal. I'm sorry you fell too!

I am kind of excited that we'll be ginormous in the middle of winter, when giant puffy coats and baggy clothes aren't even blinked at. I don't want strangers to even look at me, let alone deal with the threat of unsolicited belly rubbing. Thanks but no thanks. Likewise my infant will be kept under lock and key. Keep yo' hands to yo'self.

@MrsLittleMac I saw this little printable on Pinterest which was basically a "hands off, you have germs" thing to put on your baby's carrier... and I seriously considered it. I know it would offend some people... but I distinctly remember being out with my family when my nephew was tiny and asleep in his little carseat carrier thing and total strangers wanted to touch his face. NO. Hands Off!

I wasn't too bad with DD because it didn't seem like people were really gonna be sick in August, but I think with this baby it'll probably be way different. February and wintertime just makes people seem way more germy to me. It drove my mom crazy when she did this with my two younger brothers but I totally get it now that I'm older & have my own.

Yeah, we had a September baby and my daughter was a February baby so we had winter illnesses with both our kids. With the September I thought it was worse because we were toting an infant around to people's houses for the holidays. When we decided to ttc I told my husband I wanted to wait and hopefully have a baby in Jan or later, we got February 9 I'll take it.
My kids, especially my girls love to rub my belly and kiss it. That is adorable. Random strangers? No thank you.
Speaking of my daughter, a couple of years ago when she was about 3 she randomly came up a story about how when she was a baby in my belly she could see out through my belly button. She is now certain that the baby can see out, hear us if you talk into my belly button and it is hilarious. She's 5, and just so darn funny.

We got a bouncer for our new baby and I listened to the music just to see what they had. It's similar to the one I had with DD which made me really miss the bouncer/music. I've been searching for a while to see if I could find a video with the songs it played. I finally found it today and have been listening/happy crying to it. It reminds me of that time when she was super little. I miss my baby being that little.

I was in a car accident on my way home from work today. I was hit from behind, twice. I'm fine but of course I was freaking out over the baby. After I was finally able to leave the scene of the accident, I went to the ED. Had an ultrasound and everything looks great! The u/s tech there saw a fibroid though and I'm kinda stressing out about it. How did my doctor(s) miss that on two, TWO(!) ultrasounds that they've done. Most recently during my NT scan last week. I definitely need to call my OB tomorrow and see what's up.
@imalwaysme79 Glad to hear your ok though and the baby looks good! That's crazy about the fibroid though. Hopefully they have some more answers for you and it turns out to be NBD.
