I am not liking going to bed since I wake up a lot from boob pain, pee breaks and getting up in the morning with the feeling of needing to eat something before I throw up.
It had been pretty rough here, but since I got back from vacation I've been sleeping like a rock. And I'm enjoying it because I know the middle of the night insomnia and middle of the night visits from the toddler will be back soon.

I'm having awful fatigue during the day, but then I can't fall asleep at night! Once I do fall asleep, there is lots of tossing and turning and needing to get up and pee, so it definitely isn't restful. I can't wait for the 2nd trimester!
I'm having a hard time too. Tossing and turning, and if I wake up in the middle of the night it takes me forever to get back to sleep. With my daughter, I remember it being even worse in the third trimester
Ditto to all of the above. I get up to pee at least 5 times each night and in between that I am tossing and turning constantly. I find myself lying awake at 4am considering getting up for the day, which is VERY out of character for me
I'm in the same boat as you @nicklesb and @C25 I wake up at least 4 times a night to pee (and drink more water because I am also thirsty at night) and then I wake up at about 4am because I need to eat before I get sick! Luckily my work is pretty flexible about what time I get to the office so I can usually eat and sit up for a while and then go back to sleep for a couple more hours, but it's pretty crazy. I'm looking forward to sleeping through the night in the 2nd trimester. FX!
I'm sleeping ok, mostly because I have 3 pillows around me. One for my head, back, and between the legs. I get up once in the night to pee. Today I'm ordering a real pregnancy pillow so I don't have a bed full of pillows.
I've had insomnia with all of my pregnancies. I can fall asleep initially, no problem, but if I wake up for any reason (or sometimes for no reason at all, it seems), there's a good chance I'll be lying there awake for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night. It sucks. I'm getting (slightly) better at just accepting it than I have been in the past... I know it will pass, and there's not much I can do about it right now.
My leachCo is amazing. Go treat yo self and get one!

Pregnancy pillows are worth it!!! My problem is that my toddlers keep stealing them and they are expensive. I think it is called a "Snoogle"... Yeah, that was my last one and it is amazing. It even helped with my 3rd trimester acid reflux! DH hated it because it takes up so much space. I think I have to buy another one though since my 2 year old has been using it for 10 months and will not share!
As for my current sleep, I am woken up by my toddlers constantly but I have had the most horrendous nightmares!! I hate them and don't remember this from ever before!
My sleep has been soooo inconsistent. I have always been a bad sleeper (waking up multiple times a night), but recently I thought that I was actually sleeping better, and that from being so tired during the day I was sleeping more soundly... but then for the last three nights I have felt weirdly wide awake. I feel as if I had a few cups of coffee before sleeping or something even though I had been feeling tired all day.
I've never been a good sleeper. Seems no matter how tired I am I still toss and turn and lay there forever. I guess I'm used to it though.
Oh and to all looking for a preggo pillow, I just want to chime in that I got a $15 dollar long body pillow from jcpenny last pregnancy and it actually did the trick for me. I'm sure the contoured pillows are great, just if anyone is looking for a bargain you might want to try the straight body pillow first. And if it doesn't work out you will look like you went the extra mile for your guests when it winds up on their bed!
It's been okay for me but I'm still tired in the morning. Can't wait for this exhausted phase to pass. I know it will get harder when I can't sleep on my stomach anymore.
I still keep waking up around 3 am to pee, sometimes snack, and have a really hard time falling back to sleep. I have had uncomfortable legs, night sweats and middle of the night nausea, so yeah, sleep is not the best.

When I'm asleep it's great. When my daughter wakes up 3 times in the middle of the night and I have to pee and my husband has stolen my side of the bed, not so great. I have been napping a lot to make up for it. I'm like a heater and wake up needing carbs or I'll puke.

I'm sleeping like a baby other than getting up around 3:30-4ish to pee, but holy cow my dreams are insane.... Sometimes it takes a bit to get back to sleep after a bad one....
Considering I'm posting this at 4:58 a.m., and have been up since DH got up at 3:30 to go fishing. It isn't good. I wake up only once or twice for potty breaks, but quite often I have a hard time falling back asleep. This morning I have nausea which is making me uncomfortable enough to not fall back asleep.
So. Much. Peeing. I think my record is 7 or 8 times in one night, I lost count. 3-4x a night seems average now.
Not too much other discomfort though, except for me need to adjust my bosoms (love that word) if I fall asleep on my stomach.
I definitely find find that it helps to read print with a soft light to fall asleep and not looking at my phone for at least a half hour before bed. I think there's some science behind if but I don't know the exact mechanism but screen time before bed can affect your ability to fall asleep.
Besides the fact that DS wakes up two or three times a night, I'm sleeping great! I can't complain about first trimester sleep when I know the real hell that is sleeping during the third tri.
I have been tossing and turning all night, peeing 6 times a night, crazy dreams. Seems like I can't get comfortable at all. Boobs hurt and hips feel sore when I lay on one side too long
I don't know, ladies. I haven't slept through the night since I was pregnant with my first in early 2012. I have trouble believing I'll ever sleep again at this point!
