Might be quadruplets

Hi everyone,

I am new to the board and found out today that I am due on April 4th!

Today we had our first ultrasound after our first round on femara. The ultrasound showed 4 babies. 2 measured 6wks and 2 days (right on track) with both heart beats at 107 bmp. The other two babies were measuring about 5wks and did not have a confirmed heartbeats. We go back on next week for another ultrasound to see if they have grown. They believe they may have implanted later than the other two. Also if there is no growth next week they believe they will not develop further.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? My husband and I are a little shocked as we did not expect to hear them say that there where 2, let alone potentially 4 and can not wrap our heads around this news

Most of it us still haven't had ultrasounds yet, and I'm not aware of any multiples so far.  Twins are pretty rare, let alone quadruplets , so there probably won't be too many multiples here.

Congratulations - that's pretty remarkable! I don't blame you and your husband at all for not fully being able to take in the news yet. I think I'd be in shock. No advice, just lots of prayers that everything goes well at your next ultrasound and with your pregnancy!

That would be shocking news! I hope you stick with this group no matter how many babies you end up with. It would be fun and interesting to follow your journey.

That's amazing and scary I'm sure!  My mom's best friend had quadruplets when I was in High School.  They are juniors in college now!  I helped clean her house and babysit when they were newborns...it was an overwhelming but unbelievable experience.  Like another poster said, I hope you stay on this board so we can follow your journey!

I am right along with the pp's..... PLEASE stay on this board so we can follow your already AMAZING story/journey!!! I envy Mommy's with multiples. My good friend just gave birth a month ago to fraternal twin boys!! Luke orion and Jack corbin!

Thank you everyone for your support! We had an ultrasound this past Wednesday and confirmed that all babies are growing on track that they all had strong heartbeats at 126 bmp. It is still surreal and we are still very much in sock. We have another ultrasound this Thursday and will continue to have weekly appointments. I will attach an image of the US as I've learned many people are curious to see a quad ultrasound! Some of the babies are hard to see as it is hard to fit them all in the same picture!

OMG! I'm terrified of this happening!! I nannied for triplets for 5 years and when I went in for my first ultrasound with my first, my first thought was, "dear god, please let there only be 1!" I used clomid and gonal f this month. I had 6 ripe follicles, but only 5 popped. Praying for only one!! lol!!

CONGRATS!!!!! I have been thinking about you and even shared your story with my friend with twins!!!! I will be continuing to follow your story and will be praying for you all! What a BEAUTIFUL scan pic!!
