Monday Bitchfest

Have at it.

Mine should have gone into the weekend bitchfest, but we went to visit DH's grandma this weekend and when we arrived, she told us all about how DH's uncle that lives there is in the hospital because he has a fucking MRSA infection! Why did nobody think that would be an important detail to share before inviting us over with a 4 week old baby?!?

People are so selfish.

Re: Monday Bitchfest

  • SO goes back to overnights tonight. Not looking forward to being a single parent for the next week. He's gone from 8 pm to 8 am and when he gets home he's awake for all of an hour before sleeping until 6 or 7 then it starts all over. Hooray.

  • I wore a bra for all of one hour today and my left boob is SO SORE. I wore underwire bras PP and never had an issue unless it was on all day. Then last week it started to be painful. My boobs are way too big to not have an underwire. Ugh this breastfeeding thing is seriously no joke :/
  • @hreed7289 that's rude. I don't expect every person who visits to bring food, but if you're coming over for a meal and to visit my new baby I think it's common courtesy. And the extended visits are hard too, my inlaws will come in the evening and stay for like four hours during cluster feeding time and it's annoying as hell.

  • @Schmooie730 careful with underwire, they warned me that they can cause plugged ducts!
  • @Schmooie730 bras are the devil. And the bra that fits comfortably just post-pumping is like 2 sizes too small once I'm full again and ready to pump. I only put on underwire bras to go out in public now, which isn't often.
  • @Schmooie730 i usually hate non underwires but bravados have been working really well for me
  • DD had an epic hour long tantrum and a gag and vomit at dinner. So over today. Kids are going to bed and I'm watching Olympics.

  • Went to my in-laws wedding on Sunday (DH's father finally marrying his girlfriend of 14 years) It was an outdoor wedding and we live in Washington. Of course it rained. Turns out they went cheap and didn't rent chairs or a tent. As it poured I stood under a giant umbrella with my 6 week old daughter. In the end I was wet, cold, muddy and pissed off. DH and I quickly ate and got through the cake and then left.
  • Agreed @ashgee18 and also
    no makeup is awesome
  • We're moving next week and for some reason DH had completely checked out. Asked him to take some boxes or to the garage to make moving a little easier, they're still in the basement where I left them. So I'm just going to do it. I don't know what's up with him right now. Never mind that my oldest banshee has decided he can't function workout mommy. Maybe he's finally realized baby brother isn't going any where. Either way if he's not at my feet screaming, he's screaming because he's not at my feet. Momma needs some wine and trashy reality TV.
  • Our roof has decided that the middle of a week long thunderstorm is a wonderful time to start leaking into the living room. Lincoln and I were napping on the couch when I was suddenly woke by cold wet drops. Lovely...
  • LO had a blowout after being on the road for 1 min. I stuck my hand in it and it was covering him, his onesie and the car seat. Only another 3 and a half hours to the beach... why do I torture myself?
  • @setosh- sorry you still have a long drive.

DD was having a rough morning but I figured it would be good for us to still go to story time at the library. Five minutes into story time DD had to pee. Ten minutes after that DD2 had a blow out through her clothes and onto her car seat. By the time we got back from the bathroom for the 2nd time, there was only 1 song left :(
