Nightly routine?

The last two nights Lillyana has not fallen asleep on her own like she has always done.  The only way we can get her to sleep is if she snuggles in bed with me until she is out and then daddy can move her to her crib.  I'm concerned that this may continue and become a problem.  We do a routine at night...bath, jammies, book, bottle and burp.  This has been great for a while now.  I know she is in a WW but do you think this will continue?  How do I break this cycle.  We start bedtime routine around 8:30 but the last two nights she hasn't fallen asleep until past 12 am...in bed snuggled with mom!  Help!

I would keep doing your routine and using the snuggles in bed as a last ditch effort. I also wouldn't worry about forming or breaking habits just yet, but that's me. We do the best we can to stick to routines but sometimes we have to just make do to get the job done, so to speak. Since she's in a WW, this may not be a long term issue, maybe wait it out a little bit, see what the outcome is, and take it from there.
  • I hear they can be clingy during wonder weeks so I doubt it will last.  Just keep up the routine cause they need consistency during this time.  Making changes might just make things worse.
