Infertility

What do you do with your TWW?

I know that IVF Pinterest go hand in hand so most definitely the TWW would too.  What else do you do with your TWW? I found some funny one but there are also practical ideas as well to keep us all busy..

* take a walk
* read a book(s)
* netflix marathon
* clean neglected areas
* think of names
* create baby boards
* write a journal/blog
* plant
* create a fertility dance
* delegate the burden ~ said person will take over your worries of symptoms spotting

what are your ideas?
I am planning a wedding! my sister's wedding with a 6 week timeline, we are already two weeks in so there is lots of pressure and things to do which is def keeping me occupied

  • I'm jealous that you get to plan a wedding!  That would keep my mind off things for sure!  Good luck.  I try to have a good book to read in my spare time.

  • I cook and clean during the TWW... basically I become a '50s housewife (that works during the day lol)! In all seriousness, cooking has become very cathartic to me! I try a new recipe each day. Gives me something to do once I get home, so I'm not just sitting around, driving myself crazy! I try to go to grocery store once a week to get fresh ingredients. It's been fun! And I look at it as good training for my future family! :) Hope you find something to keep you busy!!

  • During the TWW I have been cleaning, running errands or hanging with friends, and I painted my kitchen. I'm a Pinterest addict and hgtv home rehab shows.
  • Hi, all! I found this helpful https://eliscorner.wordpress.com/2013/04/06/ten-tips-for-surviving-the-two-week-wait/ :) The 2ww must be in dog time. Because it feels more like a year than 14 days! We had lot of people knowing about we were passing DE IVF abroad. All they expected news and it made me even more stressed and nervous. So I went off the radar after embryo transfer for this period. (We transferred 2 5-day blasts) Yes the items from the list above can definitely help, but the emotional side is always strong  :|

  • @Angelic789 I love her last one about finding a cocktail lounge, just in case. That's a marvelous idea and I'm stealing it!
  • Just did our 2nd iui today. During this 2ww I hope it goes faster than last time and at the end of it we have a surprise trip planned for DH's friends birthday. So I at least have something to look forward to. I need to get my house under control in the next 2 weeks. We got my parents old furniture and still haven't found someone to take our's, so I may just donate it. I feel like there is clutter everywhere and I just want to pack it all away.

    Anyone else in their 2ww or starting soon?
  • @JAH87 I just had my first IUI on Tuesday, so I'm in the TWW now...although my RE's office doesn't want me to test for 3 weeks, but I'm pretty sure I won't last that long, two weeks seems more likely. (Hoping that AF doesn't make it a moot point!) Surprise trip sounds awesome! We have some plans for Labor Day weekend with our parents and then my mom's birthday is coming up, so I have a bit of stuff to take my mind off things...I hear you about getting the house under control, I need to do that too! I've let things slide for a couple weeks, so I need to get back into the swing of things. FX for success with your IUI and hope your TWW goes quickly!
  • @jah87 I am in what I am calling my 9 day wait! Seems so much shorter that way!  I transferred 1 frostie yesterday! 8 more days to wait!  I plan on business as usual for the week and just try to keep my stress low and my thoughts positive!
