Re: August Check in!
My favorite way to beat the heat is iced coffee!
I am CD 4 of our 5th cycle TTC. I just got some blood work results giving us the ok to start clomid this month. We are planning to do 2 (maybe 3) rounds and then we will got straight to IVF. I had 'very low' AMH levels in June and I am 41 so we don't have a lot of time to just 'see what happens'. It all feels very dramatic and rushed right now when I was hoping we could have several months of trying without the pressure of meds and blood work and doctors but I guess I waited too long to have that luxury.
My favorite way to cool off is jumping in the ocean. I try to get in the water as often as I can during the summer.

Since we moved into our house last year, my favorite way to cool off is to jump into the pool. I grew up near the ocean, so I used to also love to do that, Laura.

Right now I feel annoyed that I have a long cycle so I have to wait an extra week for the fun stuff. On the other hand it's one more week of alcohol consumption. I'm also annoyed that because it's taking so long to conceive I've basically put off all vacation/trip plans and now I'm restless and burnt out. Meanwhile H is talking about planning a trip so he can run a marathon and he wants me to go with him, and it annoys me to have to remind him that we're trying to have a baby and travel may not be possible. So wow, I'm generally annoyed. I guess I need that vacation after all.

AIR CONDITIONING. I hate pools and the beach (unless there's beer); I will sit inside with the air on high and be ecstatic that I'm not sweating.

CD1 (boo!)
feeling blah. I will call my OB tomorrow to get on the "medicated" train. Literally 11 cycles with good timing, but nothing is wrong? Really tired of going to other people's baby showers and pretending to be happy for every woman around me who has no problem getting pregnant. So CD1 gripe fest in full effect. Haha
we had a ductless system installed and it's the best!!! Im also a fan of our hammock in the shade....with a good book.

Today is CD 26/12 DPO
Trying to be very optimistic, positive, upbeat, not worry about future treatment options, telling myself I am going to get pregnant mantra repeatedly on loop in my head for the whole power of positivity thing. This is my second month on Clomid. I too, am sick of all things baby. I saw a house down the street with balloons and a huge stork in the front yard. Ugh. I'm not a cryer but I did tear up for a split second. I don't want a HUGE freaking stork in my yard, but hey, if I got a BFP, then bring on storks of any size, really. We are babysitting the niece (6 month old) and nephew (almost 3) on Saturday and it's also when AF is due. I decided if AF starts I'm not going to mention it to H that day, because he'll be all like ...oh, this is so fun, wait until we have our baby, blah blah blah. He's starting to get really stressed and beaten down each time I have to tell him AF arrived.
I'm pretty much a fan of whole house air conditioning, after living in a place for the past several years with window units only. We vowed we would never have those again. I do love iced tea, it's my go-to beverage, but since I'm allowing myself a cup of coffee every day, I've cut out the tea during TWW.

TTC#? This will be our first baby
how many months/cycles you've been TTC: 4
where you are at in your cycle: CD 20
how you feel, plans, rants, anything cycle/TTC related: Ugh, we put babymaking on hold for a year and I am in constant regret of that. I read horror stories about percentages and decrease in fertility. But, nothing I can do about it now. I had really sore boobs a week ago and was excited, but then it went away. Never thought sore boobs would be so exciting.
gtky question: Since we are in the dog days of summer, what's your favorite way to "beat the heat"?
I love going to the movies by myself with some secret snacks!
where you're from : Houston, Texas
TTC#? 1
how many months/cycles you've been TTC 6 months, 5 cycles - the first two were really more like NTNP, but the last 3 we've started getting more serious.
where you are at in your cycle ; CD 20
how you feel, plans, rants, anything cycle/TTC related.: Travel plans this month make our chances sketchy at best - I think we may be able to pull off decent, although not great, timing. I was hoping I'd O on a different day to make it better, but no such luck. Pregnancy/delivery wise, August was the most ideal month for all this to happen and it's frustrating that it's just not coming together like we hoped.
gtky question: Since we are in the dog days of summer, what's your favorite way to "beat the heat"?
