10 Weeks tomorrow!

How big is baby? 
Baby is the size of a kumquat. I know what they are but does anyone eat these?! 

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? 

Mixed emotions here. I have an US and appt scheduled for the 10th (Wednesday) but I have to cancel it... but for fun reason. We are now driving home from a week in TN and we've decided to extend vacation and go spend a week in Maine. We've never been that far North in the states so I'm excited but bummed to miss seeing our L.B.

Any new symptoms or changes? 

No real changes. I feel like my bloat is subsiding a little.

Rant-
Our TN vacation was with the hubs side of the family. My MIL and FIL have a little extra weight (nothing major) but she spends HOURS a day complaining about the weight on her but mostly my FIL (or talking about how my hubs has put on weight!?) but then at EVERY MEAL she is trying to get both men to eat more, eat what she didn't finish or make them another plate so there are no leftovers. Or pointing out the desserts to her diabetic husband?! Then literally get in the car and complain about the chocolate cake he ate. I just don't get it.

Then there's his sisters family... love them but they really bum me out when it comes to body image issues. They are all tall skinny and fit (she was a runway model) My husband and I are very active but we've seen more fit days. I'm 10mo pp and still have 20 lbs on me and my husband has been working so very much I can't even remember the last time he worked out. Anyway... we spent a lot of this trip (as we do any time were around them) with them talking about how huge tourists were or judging people's intake. Or the best part is my 17yo niece who has ZERO tact saying - hey rember before DS when you had a 6pack!? Hahahaha will you ever get that back?

My SIL even talks about how much that niece weighs and what she eats?!?! (Shes 5'8" and 140lbs of 3 soccer teams MUSCLE!

...end rant. Planning a salad for lunch....

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? 

When DS was born I watched all 5 seasons of Shameless. The most perfectly titled show ever. It's a Train wreck of entertainment. Next up was Parenthood (felt like I was under a rock having never seen that before)

Nope, my first real appointment is Aug 16.

Diarrhea. So that's fun.

We have plans to go camping next weekend with friends and I really hope I'm not sick the whole weekend.

How far along are you? 7 weeks tomorrow! It's starting to sink in that this might actually be happening. 

How big is baby? Tomorrow we'll be a blueberry. I really feel like it should be bigger based on the amount of bloat bump I have! Lol

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? First appt is this Tuesday! It's just a confirmation appt but I'm hoping to hear a heartbeat while I'm there. 

Any new symptoms or changes? I'm still doing the thing where I get occasionally naseous, often tired and sore breasts. DH has the 'dreaded man cold' that he's been nice enough to share though. So now I've got a sore throat and cough on top of that. **insert eye roll here**

Rants/Raves/Questions? Is 7 weeks too early to start buying baby gear? If or to take advantage of sales/consignment sales/etc as they come but worry it's too early. 

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? Right now it's The Good Wife but I love binge watching!

@Mccolpitts I don't think it's too early to grab a few items that are a great deal. I bought a crib at a yard sale for $30 before we were even pregnant lol

@Mccolpitts totally agree with @FrancesGrace630!  I bought a basinette for my last one before I found out I was preg.

You can always sell items if you change your mind later!

@vino831 I feel your pain about your in laws, except for me it's my own parents who do that.

How big is baby? Size of a raspberry (ps, why are these sizes always food? It's making me hungry... Haha)

upcoming appointment: I have an ultra sound on Monday. Can't wait!!

new symptoms: nausea is mostly gone. However, mood swings are now in full force. Spent all last night crying at EVERYTHING, then today I want to snap everyone's head off for legit no reason. 

Rants/raves/questions: My in laws are currently halfway through their 6 week visit (no, they're not staying with us thank god). They're lovely people, and I do really like them, but I'm so tired and moody lately, that they're getting on my nerves so fast. For no reason at all. I won't see them again until March when the baby is born, so I'm trying to hide the mood swings as much as I can, but agh! All I want to do is wear yoga pants, eat pizza, and sleep. 

GTKY: I recently discovered The Goldbergs so I've been binge watching that. Guys... I'm praying I don't turn into Beverly when the first arrives, haha!!

Upcoming appointment this week? If not, when is your next appointment? I don't have another appointment until 8/31. 

Any new symptoms or changes? Not really, but this morning I got out bed and picked DS up then I had to immediately put him down and sit on the floor as I felt so lightheaded I thought I was going to pass out. As that feeling went away, I had to run to the bathroom but ended up only dry heaving. Thankfully, since then I've only had the queasiness that is more normal. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? None right now. 

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? It's not necessarily my favorite show but I'm currently watching Once Upon A Time.

@npaulie 6 weeks?!? I think I would have to crawl in bed and not get out for a couple days. You must be a saint!

That being said... we are 3/4 of the way through my brother,  his wife, their 4yo and 4 mo and 150 drool-bot-dog staying with us for 4 months.

Just focus on the light at the end of the tunnel and look forward to when you can walk around in your comfy pj's and no bra again!!

We are in the process of moving back to Cali from Hawaii and I can't motivate myself to pack. Yet it has to happen since we fly out the 17th. Ughhh

To many shows I like to watch but nothing really new binge worthy. Just waiting for fall shows to come back on.

Any new symptoms or changes? The fatigue and nausea subsided a bit today but I know it ebbs and flows. I was actually able to get some housework done. I think I overdid it though because just a little more than usual and I feel like I ran a marathon.

Rants/Raves/Questions? NBR, but I saw a 3 year old at my office yesterday with a pacifier in his mouth for the whole hour he was there and I wanted to scream at that mother. I also saw another child that same day, maybe 18 months old, that was still in an infant car seat. He may have met the weight requirements still, but definitely was longer than the seat. WTF is wrong with these people?

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? @vino831 Parenthood is so good! I just caught up with Grey's Anatomy (took me about 6 months on Netflix) but nothing for this past season. DH and I binge watch Tosh.0 or anything on HGTV or Food Network.

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? all time favorite to binge is Lost. No matter how many times I've seen it, I still get sucked in.

How big is baby? Cherry-sized. My stomach, on the other hand... ooof. Not just plus a cherry. 

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Next appointment is late August. 

Any new symptoms or changes? Mostly same old nausea, tiredness, soreness plus some heartburn? The light cramping seems to have mostly gone away. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? I've started to think about how I'll tell my friends, it's going to be a mess I'm not looking forward to. Very early on I told a few I wasn't pregnant when they asked if that was why I wasn't drinking at a dinner we all went to - at that point I thought I was sick, not pregnant, I hadn't taken any tests or anything and DH and I had stopped trying. Since then apparently two of them have been talking to lots of our other friends about it about it (I mentioned months ago to them DH and I were trying, because I trusted them NOT to talk about it), so now when I do publicly announce I'm 100% sure there's going to be all sorts of gossip about me lying. I just want it to be a happy thing but TBH knowing how much gossip's already happened makes me just dread it. I don't want to just write these people out of my life after years but I also don't feel like I have the patience for the drama of it all while I feel this sick and cranky all the time. Blah. I need to move to a cave until I feel human again. 

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? Numb3ers, Dr. Who, Firefly. Just got sucked into Chicago Med.

@sunshine507 that sounds awful. Even if you did lie... Seriously almost all preg women fib or hid the fact that they are preggo until they are comfortable sharing. I understand that doesn't help your stress levels though. 
Perhaps you think of a cute way to incorporate that conversation into your announcement to them. 

Maybe even shoot them a personal note before the big announcement. Nip the gossip crap in the bud and makes them feel special for knowing earlier.

That's all if these are that important of friends to you ofc.

Any new symptoms or changes? Feel so bloated and look it too by evening....yuck. More nausea and pukey feeling.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Made it on a long road trip this weekend to a wedding and didn't puke in the car, so that was exciting.

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch?  Right now DH and I are binge wathing "The Walking Dead"

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? Next Monday another scan, and later that day seeing the specialist for what I think is the genetic screening. (It will be my 1st high risk  doc appt)

Any new symptoms or changes? Nope, still dealing with rotating bouts of hunger pains and nausea

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just raving and excited about another week under our belt.  

GTKY: What's your favorite show to binge watch? Naked and Afraid! I love that show, so interesting seeing the different outcomes of 2 naked people trying to survive in the harsh jungles!

I've been feeling pretty good, but the last few days the "all day nausea, nothing sounds good but I'm ravenous" feeling has set in.

a. I'm exhausted
b. I'm so hot always...unless I'm cold. But typically I'm hot
c. DH just brought me a cookie from one of the B&Bs in town...but he only brought one and now I could cry thinking about how I ate that cookie too fast and I want more.

Parenthood is an experience you must have. It is so so so well done. I cried during every episode.
If I'm flipping channels, Law and Order SVU gets me every. single. time.  But I also love Big Bang, Parks and Rec, and Friends. The summer I was pregnant with DS I binged Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill on Netflix...woke up this morning thinking GG may be back on the dockett, I love that show.

Upcoming appointments this week? If not, when is your next appointment? I had an appt on the 2nd, and my next is not until the 19th. Its for the dating ultrasound. I'm going to call and ask for an appt this week though (see below).

Any new symptoms or changes? The dreaded spotting. After one brick red colored wipe, it's been all very light brown discharge. But my poor heart is just full of anxiety. It stopped, no spotting today, but I'm going to call in the morning anyway. I want to see a heartbeat! 

I'm sure I know what caused the spotting. I have had diarrhea the last two days, and Saturday night was a painful doozy. TMI: I literally had to throw up while waiting for the gas an poop to finish moving, it was so painful. 

But still. The anxiety. 

Rants/Raves/Questions? I read my son a big brother book today. (He's 18 months.) When we were looking at a page with a baby laying in the pram and the big brother pushing it, I asked him whether he was the baby or the big kid. After thinking he confidently pointed to the big brother. Sniff. Where did my baby go?

GTKY: I like to rebinge the same shows over and over...they are like old friends. Right now I'm watching Charmed, and it's really taking me back to the 90s. I binged all 7 sasons of Buffy during my first tri with my son.

@longliveregina I had spotting with all 3 of my previous pregnancies all right around 8-9 weeks.  It was just a bit when I wiped, lasted a few days and then was gone.  It was so nerve wracking, but all turned out fine.  Doctor thought it was just old blood or an irritated cervix.
