Letrozole/femara

Im new to the boards so work with me. Has anyone here been on letrozole & if so would u mind sharing your thoughts of it with me?? Been ttc for about a year now, finished my first round & am now waiting to see if I had any luck....

I've been on Femara and had no side effects and I developed follicles just fine with it. Do you have any specific questions? My Femara was paired with Ovidrel and an IUI. Are you being monitored while taking this medication by an RE?

I would try this over on the IF/testing board. That will have the highest concentration of people under the care of an RE and possibly doing medicated cycles. No need for a solo post for this type of question. Also give the search bar a go. May be a great resource

I had some slight side effects first starting it. Hot flashes and slight headaches. Not too bad. I went in on day 13 and had my ultrasound done to see if I did in fact develop any follicles. 1 was almost mature in size, had to take ovulation test days following ultrasound. Ovulated day 16. No specific questions. Just a little nervous bc af was due today, got a bfn this morning.....still no sign of af

Medicated cycles can definitely lengthen your luteal phase so that may explain the longer cycle. I hope you get your BFP soon!

I didn't have any side affects on 5mg, but definitely experience the hot flashes on 7.5mg. I take them at night before bed to lessen the blow though!
