Can we do whine Wednesday??? (A day late).

We do this on other boards - whine about random stuff in our lives. Was wondering if this board could use some venting too...

We leave for vacation in about 3 hours (and I can't sleep).  I'm the biggest sap ever and the hardest part about leaving for vacation for me is saying goodbye to our little pups.  I will probably cry on our way to the airport.  I absolutely HATE leaving them and wish I could take them with me everywhere I go!!!!!

    @fatpony I love this idea!!

We recently bought a house and thought they had a pool cover for the pool. Well long story short, they didn't. I just got a quote for one and WOW they are so expensive!! More then I thought was even possible. Apparently the shape of the pool makes it more. Ugh. Oh and my dog stinks!! Wish I could bath her. She had to go play in the mud yesterday after transfer lol.

    Love this!

I am SO over work this week. I am a Vocational Counselor and some of the clients I work with...ugh. The worst is when someone just keeps calling over and over and over and over (get my point?) again without leaving a message. If I didn't answer the first time, calling 15 times within 10 minutes isn't going to help b/c I'm either on the phone or in a meeting.

@wifeinraleigh28 enjoy your vacation! I'm sure your pups will be so excited to see you when you get back!

@fatpony are you able to maybe pin the bangs back/to the side? I'm sure you will be able to rock them!

I love this idea. I don't have anything to whine about this week. @wifeinraleigh28 have fun on your vacation and the pups will be ok. We are leaving ours in 2 weeks. OMG to weeks and we are not close to being ready, but that's life.

Ah, I needed this!!! I'm going to dinner tonight with my friend who is 26 weeks pregnant. NOT looking forward to it. She met my DH's friend a couple months after DH and I got married... they moved in together after 3 months, got married at 11 months, found out he was cheating on her at 14 months, and got pregnant shortly after. Awesome. WTF, world?! I know I'm probably being a bitch right now, but what the actual F*CK. So not fair. And she's CONSTANTLY complaining about not being able to drink... cried the other day when her DH had a beer with lunch. Aaaand she drank the night she found out she was pregnant bc they were going to the rodeo and she had planned on drinking... ARG!!!! Did I mention she's 4 years older than me?! She acts like a child, and it infuriates me how people can be SO selfish and ungrateful. So yeah, dinner should be fun.

I am joining this party, even if it is Friday!

My whine (aside from my BFN yesterday) is that we discovered a massive leak underneath our dishwasher on Wednesday night and the amount of damage to the floors/wall is pretty damn significant. We have a remediation company that has already started the water and mold removal process, I have called a contractor who is coming by Monday to give an estimate, and our insurance has already made a claim. But we will likely have to come out of pocket to upgrade on some of the repairs because the kitchen is old and had cheap materials in it... so we don't want to just put vinyl back down - of course we want to do tile.

Even though I totally wanted a new kitchen, I was willing to wait! I know part of being a grown up is dealing with this kind of stuff, but I don't wanna!!! :'(

And, @FatPony I am laughing hysterically at your Motley Crue hair. I have similar style hair - very thick, very curly - I can only imagine me with bangs!! Oh my! Hopefully you find a way to manage through the awkward phase - hope it doesn't take a whole year! Good luck!

I hear you. I hate leaving my dogs, even though they have a fantastic pet sitter.

My whine, even though it's late and fertility related, is my laparoscopy on Wednesday found stage 4 endometriosis  (totally unexpected by my doctor and me).  So now I'm on Lupron Depot injections for the next 6 months and need two more surgeries during that time. Ugh, but on a positive at least I found out why I haven't been able to get pregnant. My RE seems to think we should be able to get pregnant naturally after I finish treatment. So fingers crossed for that.

So, my car sometimes doesn't always turn over when I try to start it.  It usually takes a couple of times and then it starts.  A couple of weeks ago, it didn't make a sound when I went to turn it on, just lights come on but dead.  After a few minutes it starts.  Thursday, it did the same thing, only it took it longer before working.  I took it to a repair place and left it there Thursday afternoon.  As of Saturday afternoon, they still had not gotten it to do either thing.  They suspect the starter, but for $450, I don't want to replace it without knowing if that will fix it.  So, my whine is about my car.  This is the third time I've had it taken to a repair shop for them to look at these issues and nothing.  My car must love playing games with me.

@Kp214 I had something similar happen with my old car (xterra). They kept telling me it was the starter so I replaced it only to have the same thing happen to me a month later. Turns out I had an oil leak that was dropping on the starter, causing it to be damaged and eventually stop working. So I had to replace some kind of gasket AND the starter before my problems were fixed. Hope they figure it out soon!! Car issues suck.

Thanks, @babylonghorn16.  I'll ask them if they can look for an oil leak.  Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks @babylonghorn16 moms car has been doing the same thing for a couple of months and she knows the guy at the shop must think she is nuts because it won't do it for him.

They didn't find anything wrong with the car over the weekend. I went to run a quick errand today and was in the store maybe 5 minutes. Tried to turn on the car, and nothing. No sound, just lights. I tried a few more times in the space of 30 seconds and still nothing. Waited about a minute and then tried. It worked. I called the repair shop and asked to bring it back in. I took it home until I could get a ride to meet me at the shop and tried to get it to do it again. I probably started the care 30 times. This is so frustrating. It's not user error. I know how to crank a car!
