  • I'm kind of tired of people wanting to share my news right now. I get it, people are excited, but 7w2d is still very early! I told my closest friends, and DH's parents and my mom, but they literally want me to announce it to the world. And I'm trying to be very patient with them, but it's becoming more and more difficult! I get that they think everything's great because I had a good ultra sound today, which I am still very excited about, but I work for MIL and told her I don't want to tell anyone else at work until 10 weeks, why? Because that makes me feel better! Anddddd the longer that people know, the more unsolicited advice I will get! I just wish they could respect me and say, ok great I won't tell anyone! It's not about you and who you want to tell. How do grandparents forget that? Especially when they already have children, and MIL has had a miscarriage! Blaaaaah!
  • Random thought of the moment: Not even 10 minutes ago did I finish eating 1st lunch and 2nd lunch..... I'm super ready for dinner, I think there is a hole in my stomach and the food is falling out or something cuz I promise I am starving...

@AnonnAni seriously I agree! I ate 2 mini bagels with cream cheese, 10 minutes later a pack of cheese and crackers, followed by almonds, then an apple, a container of cottage cheese/fruit, another pack of cheese & crackers, and a piece of fudge...all from 10am until now hahahaha

Ok I need to pack for work like you.

The only reason I stopped eating is b/c I don't want to continue to spend money lol if I wasn't so cheap I would be buying all the snacks I could right now.

I feel so gutted right now after reading about SugarGirls loss. I feel terrible after every loss but especially with how optimistic she was being! Honestly, I can't think about anything else right now. Ugh!!
Sorry to bring the mood down here. I just can't get over it!

I completely agree. I hate hate hate how much loss this board has seen, it's not fair. I just want to cuss up a storm on the threads, but that just doesn't read well, but that's my first reaction.

Ugh yes I'm so with you ladies. It seriously breaks my heart seeing our loss moms go. It feels like a swift punch in the gut. I always wish there was something eloquent I could say to them.

I have had a loss and sometimes there is really nothing you can say and that is okay. Sometimes just saying you are sorry and that you are there for them is enough. It's just such a difficult thing to go through...not just for the person going through the loss but friends and family who struggle to find the words to make it better.
  • I feel sorry for everyone who has a loss but I felt especially heartbroken for Sugargirl!  I feel like I've "known" her forever since we were on the TTC boards at the same time too.  Ugh it just breaks my heart every time I see another loss thread pop up  :'(

  • It's so true :disappointed: I always wish I could figure out the perfect thing they need to hear, but there's nothing we can say that will really help.  Or at least give a real hug instead of a creepy internet hug.  I know it's just a part of the journey for a few of us to deal with loss, but it's never easy.  Especially when it's someone who was so present on the boards.

Lol! After my son was born I bent over to wash my feet and realized I hadn't been able to do that for months. It was so liberating, lol.

  • The loss threads are so sad.  Every time I start to feel like I'm starting to be out of the woods another thread pops up (not that I'm trying to make tree loss all about me, it's just human nature to turn that around and reflect on your own situation). Seeing that heartbeat on Aug 19 (almost 10 weeks) can't come soon enough.

  • So, I got the results from my mood draw at 7 weeks. My hcg number was, like, 108,000. Now I'm worried it's twins or a molar pregnancy.  :# Arg! My ultrasound is still 2 weeks away!! (I should point out my midwife says it's still in the normal range, I'm just a worrier.)
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @longliveregina I've never heard of a molar pregnancy... Off to google!

BUT oh boy waiting the 2 weeks is going to be a killer if you're thinking/not knowing if it's twins!

  • Ok guys, I need opinions on the US thread. Should we keep the old one and let the new one disappear? Or close the old one and sticky the new one (there is still a chance that will happen when the bump gods get around to checking their notifications anyway). I am still leaning towards the later even though sugargirl said it was alright. What do you think??
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @meq124 knowing sugargirl I think if she said its ok she means it and wouldn't just say it to say it. But I do understand your reasoning for starting a new one and thought it was a good idea until she said that it was ok. Sorry for my wishy washy answer lol I guess I'd vote to leave it.

@longliveregina The first page I read when I googled said that it only occurs once per every 1000 pregnancies. There's a 99.99% chance that you are not experiencing one!
